ditty, fingers crossed for the smiley face.
Blue, I am rolling around stuffing my hanky in my mouth. I think that wagon has been dragged into the woods and set on fire. Don't despair, we've all had a Hot Cross Bun experience. I've told before how I read that it was a good idea to put any tempting naughties into the freezer. I broke a tooth on a frozen mars bar. And when DS2 gave me a pack of Milky Ways to look after, to stop his brother pinching them. He'd already eaten 2, so there were 3 left. Which I ate for elevenses. Then of course, I had to go out and buy another pack of 5. And eat 2 of them so that the pack looked the same.
As I said, we've all been there.

Hi everyone I’m home from hospital and feeling a bit sorry for myself to be honest. However, every day will be better so I am going to try my best to get healthier. My weight was an enormous hindrance to my recovery and I had to have the conversation yet again about how they would not be able to resuscitate me should the worst happen. That certainly focussed my mind.Anyway, today I have had some porridge and a few crumpets for breakfast as I was feeling very hungry after a rubbish night’s sleep. I fancy some salady type lunch and we are having a chicken and vegetable curry for dinner. I tried to weigh but I can’t stand steady long enough on my scales to get a reading.Well done to everyone who has lost weight and also those who bravely weighed even though they suspected a gain. Hope you all have a good day and make healthy choices xx7

Good evening, all!
Popped in to report a 0.5lb loss after a week of making a few small tweaks and working on repeating them daily.
Or every other day.

Morning All,
Popping in to report a 1lb gain. That'll be the Valentines blow out catching up with me followed by Pancake Day! At one point in the week I was up 3lb so I'm pleased I've managed to drag it back down - rather than giving up and eating/drinking more like I usually do.
Well done to everyone, whatever the results - Dumpling, glad you are back home.
Take care and have a good week.

-2 lbs for me, please.

Morning All,
Frith - I think it's sometimes easy to focus on the areas you want to lose from and forget that the weight's going to go from everywhere else too. I remember, when I lost a lot of weight once before, being surprised that I went down a shoe size.
roblou - Well done on the no bread or chocolate and I can sympathise with overcompensating. The year that I'd given up chocolate and found myself eating a bowl of shortbread and custard to try to get rid of the craving was the last time I gave anything up for Lent
monnagran - Well done for the STS, even if it is trying your patience.
zippy - Well done for the loss and I'm with you on looking forward to spring. It may not have been the way you'd planned but it certainly sounds like you kept your hands busy!
lantanna - Quite a bit of what I'm trying to lose is left over from the last time I gave up smoking - I put on 2 stone in 2 months! It would be slightly less annoying if I hadn't started smoking again after a couple of years... Well done for prepping salad and I hope you enjoyed the curry.
Blue Doggy - Sorry you had a down week and well done for not going with the bag and giving up option. I hope that this week's better for you and the wagon may appear to be speeding away but it'll wait for you.
ditty - Well done!! After all that exercise I don't think there's any chance I would've managed to stop at a slice and a half of pizza. I'm definitely waiting for today's announcement but with slight trepidation as I'm not sure I'll believe a word of it or trust that the decisions are being made for the right reasons.
dumpling I'm glad you're home and feeling sorry for yourself is completely understandable. Best of luck with getting healthier.
short_bird Well done for the loss and best of luck with keeping up the tweaks.
I finally faced up to the scales over the weekend so was quite surprised when it wasn't as bad for this morning's weigh in as I'd expected, it's a 1.5lb gain
I'm not sure if it's normal fluctuations / a lighter dinner yesterday / exercise over the weekend but I'll happily take it. The weather this weekend was beautifully sunny which definitely helped my mood and determination to try to do something about my weight. We went for a lovely walk around a park that's about half an hour away and then walked home along the seafront on Saturday and I managed 2 hours of exercise yesterday. I had to get out of the house while the football was on (IzHe and I support opposing teams...) so put it on the radio and went to do C25K. I was meant to be doing week 4 run 3 but couldn't manage the 5 minute run this time so switched to week 1 and did that 3 times in a row instead. I was annoyed at not being able to do the planned run but traipsing nearly 8 miles means I'm not going to beat myself up too much.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx7 -
afternoon all, got on scales.....wish I hadn’t. I think there has just been way too much going on here the last few months and my coping mechanism is to binge eat and then in desperation cut out stuff. This is age old for me and thought I had realised the cycle by now. Obviously not. Need a reset somehow but really don’t know how to get my self out of it at the moment....sorry got the miseries. Going to concentrate on getting through these next few weeks, emotionally and mentally and hopefully the rest will follow.
