Sorry, it took me so long to type my post (pesky sidetracking work) that I missed quite a few.
monnagran nice to see you and I hope all's well
Cranky Well done on the loss and great news about the blood test and jab.
Brambling I'm with you on avoiding the scales. I know it's going to be bad and I kind of want to get it a bit under control before I brave them. Well done on avoiding the temptations under the stairs.
ditty Thank you, I hadn't thought of looking for live events. I fear that I'm in danger of completing Netflix and Prime soon if I'm not careful so something a bit different would be great.

Brunch - scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
Tea - LO mushroom and chestnut bake plus a few of sons’ chips.
Exercise - 30 mins walk
Weirdly, my forearms have gone thinner!6 -
Izadora said:Morning All,
roblou - I hope the Lent trial is going well. I'm nearly 6 weeks into my latest attempt to give up smoking (I seem to manage about 2 years and then stupidly drift back into it...) and am finding avoiding cigarettes a LOT easier than avoiding rubbish food!! I think the fact that you can't completely cut out food makes it much harder than giving up other things
lantanna Well done on the loss, especially when you were dealing with evil hormones
couldsavemore Welcome and best of luck
ditty Well done on the STS and I hope things are feeling a lot less panicky and more positive today
I know that it's for a good reason and that there are people who have it far worse but I really am starting to lose my mind with the never-ending monotony of lock down. When the highlight of my weekend is going to be a walk around a different park a bucket of ice-cream seems even more appealing than normal
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx

Ahh, Izzy, thanks for missing me.
Well, WI day and I can report....fanfare of trumpets please....STS.
I swear that those wretched scales are stuck, but no, when I jumped up and down with frustration they jerked about wildly.
I know it could be worse, but my patience is wearing a bit thin.
I will go away and plan my next move!I believe that friends are quiet angels

Good Afternoon x
You did make me laugh Monnawell done on all the losses and sts 🌟
Sorry a few are suffering cabin feverI'm looking forward to spring and hopefully better weather, everything crossed. I started a crocheted hat for my grandson in the week to keep my hands busy, popped upstairs and the dogs had fun running around the house with my yarn so I spent the rest of the night untangling a whole ball of wool, not the relaxing project I had in mind lol.
1lb loss for me please Brambling, thank you x
Hope everyone has a good week x8 -
I gave up smoking close to 4 years ago, a had a 20 a day habit. Partly why I trying to lose weight now. All good though.Went grocery shopping today, just chopped up a massive salad for the fridge. I find it so much easier when I can just lift things out and eat during the week.
Have an M&S Indian curry for dinner tonight, will be better than the Dominoes I had last Saturday night8 -
Brunch - 2 tomatoes, bit of bacon, fried egg
Tea - will be Spanish chicken with courgette. Might do a bit of rice with it for sons.
I am also tiring of lockdown. I’d been ok until the last few days, as there is the garden, allotment etc. It just won’t stop raining!7 -

Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8 -
Good morning, All.Everyone is doing really well, whether losing the lbs, keeping up the exercise, not putting on weight
and generally sticking with it in spite of health problems, lockdowns, horrid weather. You all deserve prizes 👏👏👏🎖🎖🎖🏆🏆🏆
It was my turn for a bad week last week, I felt very down, when I could do things it was mostly powered by cheese 🧀 (a bit Wallace & Gromit!). Also I ate too many carbs, including late night porridge or just oats with milk when I couldn’t sleep, ending with yesterday when the pack of 6 hot cross buns I picked up with my newspaper were all (yes all 😱) scoffed, 2 with mega-mugs of coffee, and the rest for lunch instead of the usual, planned, salad. It’s only the example of all you brave people keeping on keeping on that’s got me here posting today instead of putting a bag over my head and giving up. Thank you, lovely people.
The result of course is that when I weighed in I have gained 4lbs 😩😤.
Still, today is that other day, so here I am trying to catch up with that fast disappearing waggon.
Wishing you all a good, safe and healthy week.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi Blue the waggon is not disappearing, it is right there. You will be fine, carbs sometimes happen. Stress happens, and it is all real. Just keep at it. When I stopped smoking it took me 5 years, but now I haven't smoked for 20 years, and i'm proud of that. Try to find things that make you happy or at least distracted! he weather have been mild her in the south for the last few days which is great. Or brave the weather where you are and just go for a long wander today, with some music or podcast in your ears. You might find something exciting along the way - a magic tree, a funky house!
Is anybody else just waiting for announcements tomorrow now? I have had the week off and I'm not sure if I feel refreshed, but it's only a 5 week term, so it should be doable.
Yesterday was a bit mad, I spent hours doing bits in the garden, went for a walk with neighbour, and went for a long 7 mile run. My legs just about gave in, but I did it. I will see if I can get up to 10 miles this spring, but I'm not sure my ankles agree.
After running I went shopping and made a grand family pizza and only had a slice and a half. So yesterday was a great day and away from panicking at the screen! Not sure about weight am just trying t hang in there for now - although I could do with a smiley face this coming week.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
