Dumpling I'm sorry to hear that you're poorly again. I hope you're feeling better and back out of hospital soon.
I had another blood test this morning to see if my liver function has improved from the scary numbers in the last test. I was about 31 or 32 the last time that I had problems with my gallbladder. I never did have it out and I'm 53 now. I'm thinking that I probably should have had the op but it hasn't given me anything but the occasionl twinge for a long time. Oh well, it's good for weight loss. I have high hopes that I'm be able to wear some ofmy decent summer clothes without looking like I've been stuffed into them (if we ever get let out agan).5 -
Sorry I've been more absent than usual.
Anyway I'm here to report a STS week. It could have been worse, much worse, so I'll take that.
Frith you are an example to us all. You thoroughly deserve your success.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Today was a success, tuna salad for lunch, chilli & rice for dinner6
-
Thank you, @monnagran
Brunch - toasted figs and beetroot with feta
Tea - pork loin chop in cream and mustard sauce with carrots and broccoli
Walked about 2.5 miles while my washing was in the launderette.5 -
Today is skinny chicken curry for lunch and omelette and salad for dinner. I feel more positive about everything today, think it’s coz I was able to get back on track yesterday and the weather seems a bit brighter.5

First must do better, must check in here a report regularly
Second, have to report a +1lb - those pesky weekends! And Stress! And Wine!

Afternoon All,
Blue Doggy Well done on the STS. I don't blame you for wanting carbs when it's this cold and very well done for limiting it to porridge and rice pudding
Brambling I hope work's calming down a bit. Have you got leave you can take or would that just delay the problem rather than giving you a break?
Cranky Well done on the loss and good luck with the blood test results. Even if we're still not allowed out in summer you should wear the decent clothes and enjoy them anyway
Ditty Your tofu dinner sounds lovely and best of luck with your vege-rich eating. I got the Hairy Bikers vegetarian book for Christmas and, while a lot aren't exactly diet friendly, there are quite a few recipes that look really good and not too bad so if you want any of them then let me know
Dumpling Sorry you're so poorly and best wishes for a speedy recovery
Frith Well done on another fantastic loss, you're doing amazingly. I hope you enjoyed the takeaway and I'm amazed you managed to avoid both rice and naan bread, I consider it a miracle if I stick to just one of them!! I hope all goes well with your son's apprenticeship
lantanna Well done on the STS. It sounds like PMT affects us in a similar way, I have a couple of days a month where pretty much the only time I'm not ravenously hungry is when I'm eating
LilacPotato Well done on the loss and massive congratulations for not letting a slip derail the whole week. If only I could manage the same...
monnagran Well done for the STS, especially if you were expecting worse
need2bethrifty It doesn't sound like you're having a fun time of it. I hope that they've fixed the phone/broadband and that it's less snowy. I found not being able to get out at all last week because of the snow really hard to cope with
roblou Sorry about the gain and that you're finding things hard at the moment. My husband spends quite a lot of time suggesting things I shouldn't eat as well and my reaction's generally the same as yours
SandyShores Well done for the loss. I'm glad that things are seeing easier with the upturn in mood
SezzaF commiserations for the gain. Weekends and stress are never a good diet aid but hopefully things will be less stressy this week
short_bird Welcome and best of luck with the gluten-fee and gallstone-friendly diet
Sirens Well done on the loss. I hope the Chinese takeaway provided a suitably soft landing
tryingtoavoiddebt Well done for the loss. It may be slower than previous diets but it sounds like it's going to be a lot more sustainable as well
zippy Well done on the loss
Sorry for the lack of posting, it's safe to say that things didn't improve much from my last post. I really don't know what's the matter with me, I was doing okay and then it was like someone flipped a switch and I couldn't stop eating all the wrong things. The snow, and how ridiculously trapped it made me feel, didn't help but there was no excuse for just how much rubbish I managed to eat. I was determined to start afresh yesterday and things were going much better, I'd even been out for a C25K shuffle for an hour, and then my husband suggested sticky toffee pudding and custard...
I've got to go shopping later and am trying very hard to convince myself that I absolutely do not need to get lemons to go with pancakes
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx7 -
Afternoon all, lovely neighbour decided to cheer me up with an afternoon tea delivery!! Lovely thought bless her. Ho hum.... and from Saturday we are in self isolation again as hubs is having his cataract done on the 2nd March and we need to isolate for 10 days. Makes total sense.. I am just praying for good weather so we can at least get in the garden......my brain feels frazzled.🤪 we did get a four mile walk in yesterday which was lovely, rainy today but hopefully I can get a few morning runs in before lock-in. Thanks Izadora, think you might have mixed me up with someone else, hubs never comments on what I eat....he knows better😉😂‘It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine’ - Winnie the Pooh6
