Brambling :- Can I join in again? I seem to try and fail, but I know I need to lose weight. I joined this thread in 2017 when I had to lose weight, this thread helped me a lot, I lost nearly 4stone in 8 months which helped me through a rather serious operation in early 2018.
I've just been for my annual check-up and everything is still functioning well but I know I have to lose weight again as I feel I have let them all down if I don't get back to my pre op weight again.
So can you please put me down for 21lb for this quarter - hopefully doable as it's the beginning of my diet again.
I know what to do it's the willpower I lack.
Last day before my diet
Lunch HM parsnip and squash soup, one bread roll, 2 pieces of Christmas cake
Tea:- cold ham, 2 boiled eggs, lettuce, celery, cauliflower, mayonnaise, a few crisps, an apple and two satsumas.
Plenty of coffee with milk
Almost forgot - butter with my roll and two chocolate digestives with my coffee this afternoon

Hi everyone
Just popping on to do my menu. Yesterday I stayed within my calories for the first time in forever so that is promising.
My meals today are:
b - toast and fried eggs
l - split pea and ham soup
d - white fish in butter and lemon sauce, baby potatoes and green beans
s - banana and an orange
I'm already cooking the soup and the house smells lovely. Can't wait for lunch.

Morning everyone,
I'm late checking in - weigh in day yesterday and here to report a loss of 1lb. Not as much as I'd like for the first week of a diet - but if I'm honest I haven't really been dieting, too many Christmas snacks still around - I have laid off the alcohol though, so it's a start!

Blue cold feet gives me cramp, unfortunately I suffer from cold feet but hot legs which leads to some interesting contortions to keep my feet and upper body under the duvet and my legs outside of itjust as well i live alone, although the cat has been known to complain

Today I am off to have my first Covid jab. As one who usually has to be dragged to any medical establishment kicking and screaming, I am amazed at my enthusiasm for this. However, the world seems to be a dangerous place at the moment and I will do whatever is necessary.
I have just had a huge bowl of porridge with cinnamon, honey and a swirl of cream. Doesn't that sound poetic?
Lunch will be scrambled egg on toast, followed by a few spoonfuls of rum and raisin ice cream.
Anything else is in the lap of the gods.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Weighing in with an encouraging 1/2lb off. Happy I can now start my next 'drive'.
Do you all eat before or after exercise in the morning - I think I need to eat a bit, otherwise I get a sense of low blood sugar and feel unwell. But then this doesen't fit well wit trying to do intermittent fast!
Any ideas, it might be partly habit. I was in the habit of feeling hungry/not full and energetic and now I'm in the habit of feeling full and passive! So it's definitely not just about food.
Congrats to all of the losers, keep going if STS and and if you had a gain, it's just a bump in the road, so just keep at it.
