So today is my day off as there is currently no cover work for good reasons, I'm not furloughed this time, so eventually there will be a small hole in my budget, but I am trying to use the time to do interesting and overdue things. So I thought sitting in the dining room to do a bit of writing, a bit of prep, a bit of who knows what ... but every 20 minutes somebody comes in with a brilliant story or a topic to discuss. Train station - thats all I'm going to say. Not the most productive place to work, social, but not productive!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%
Weight loose 8.6 kg - while having fun. 0/8.6 0%

Calling today as NSD 3. First proper day of work since Christmas. Feel quite exhausted tbh. My job isn’t stressful, just tiring. Interesting to read today that if I were coming from the UK to Spain now, I wouldn’t meet the required income threshold. Either way, as much as I like my job now, I know I don’t want it to be forever and since I know the general area I want to work in I should pull my finger out and get on with applying and stop feeling nervous/sorry for myself.
Yesterday ate well but had a chocolate biscuit. Goats cheese salad for lunch and Chickpea curry and rice for dinner. Almost 1 week no alcohol. (not that I'm counting haha) Have eaten well today so far and read some of my book. Lunch was dhal and rice and bf is making something involving mushrooms for tea.
Grateful for interesting students, coffee (always) and new warm cosy socks

Afternoon allLots of exercise today (dog walk plus walked into town with parcels and back with a bit of shopping) but not much else, and not a NSD either due to the shopping (I don't count the parcel postage as this is a business spend, accounted for in my business accounts, as opposed to a personal / household one). Just 5 NSDs for me so far, and tomorrow won't be one, as my main shop will be delivered (and therefore paid from my bank account). Bought fruit this morning, as I am a bit tired of below par fruit arriving in deliveries
Had to go into Waitr*se as the f&v stall wasn't at the weekly market today. Waitr*se is a bit more expensive, but no crowds or queues, and the produce is always lovely. Updated my online shop to take into account what I bought this morning - don't need to buy it twice! Took advantage of the spend day to pay the milkman (so as not to lose a NSD just for that). No plans for any more spending over the next few days, though I do have some birthdays coming up.
Grateful today for not getting wet either time when I went out, lovely bananas, oranges and pears, and a £5 Ama*on voucher received from a survey site9 -
Tuesday- still NSD 8/15. Went and did a "big" shop at lunchtime, shop was quiet and i got everything on my list apart from 1 thing and some things not on the list but should mean I only need a minimal top up at the weekend.
Tomorrow is car MOT and service, I suspect I need at least 2 tyres but hopefully won't need much else doing.

NSD 9 today. Went ys-crazy last night, so the freezer is full. Shunted the rest of the budget for the week toward the cc bill, so now I have buttons until Monday, but if I am only shopping once a week, I will not need money, will I? Enforced frugality. Nowhere to go, nowhere to spend.Gratitudes: lovely noodle soup for lunch, kids doing school work nicely (yesterday will not be mentioned), battling and defeating the laundry monster. Mr Central Heating for being so hardworking.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD No 10
Started a real good proper clean up and declutter today. Kitchen first. Gone through three cupboards and thrown out all sorts that can't be used, recycled or are so out of date they are probably a health hazard or no good anymore. I am embarrassed to admit how old some of the spices were. Himself hasn't found out about most of it yet and I'm not going to tell him but he is complaining that he can't find anything even though it's right in front of his nose. The cupboard containing his many jars of obscure things is on the list tomorrow. I'll do it before he gets up otherwise he'll want to keep it all.
The Boy came to collect some things I got him from Tesco on Sunday (from a safe distance). Would it be a great problem to get some things for him in our next order as he really does not want to go to the supermarket, he asked. Of course not. I'm just glad he's being really sensible.
For some reason we got a bag of kale from Tesco. No idea what to do with it. Any ideas?Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
I’m a bit p*d off today. One of those days where little things become ‘problems’. They weren’t a problem yesterday but they are today for some unknown reason.
Still NSD 6/15 as I did a top up shop today which came in around £5.
A slow walk today with DS to the shop but mostly been on my backside working on the laptop today. Also had a sausage roll from a well-known bakers for lunch. Feel rubbish for it. I don’t know if it’s age but if I overeat fatty or sugary food now it gives me a sore stomach and seems to bring down my mood.
Didn’t quite hit my goal of drinking 1500ml water but probably around 1000ml.
Tomorrow is a new day and I’m looking forward to joining my colleague’s online yoga class and watching the final episode of the BBC’s The Serpent.
Grateful today for a walk (albeit slow), some sun, and having a job.

Evening all. No NSD today as shopping delivery coming later. Also bid on a secondhand dish on ebay as OH keeps all his spare change on the window sill and it's ruining the paint
waiting to see if I win it, basically trying to buy more secondhand stuff rather than new.
Work is getting a bit manic, more people leaving so have been allocated 4 new cases today alone. Also haven't been paid for my overtime. Great stuff all round! However one massive positive is that I'm getting my first dose of the vaccine this week. I feel like I dont "deserve" it even though my work have arranged it because of my role as I know so many others are waiting.

@Toni'sfriend I like my kale wilted in a little bit of butter with grated nutmeg and lemon zest. Great on the side of a stew, or anything with mashed potatoes.
