@goldfinches I love those ballet flats! And well done on the pan; I am moving house soon (I HOPE) so not allowed to buy any homewares until that has happened, but you have done a brilliant job! I have done A LOT of CS shopping this month (well, it was my birthday) and have had a little break the last week or so. But today I dropped off some things at our out-of-town Clare's Hospice and couldn't resist looking at their 'designer' rail (it is nothing of the sort, but just means most of the stuff there is not high st, or is at least high end high st). I am going to do a separate post and type it out in Word first as it will be looooooong. Hope everyone is enjoying a bargain-hunt-filled summer! M100X6

So, today’s finds, all from the St Clare hospice:
A mint green top from Sandwich. I found a pair of stonewashed denim jeggings by this brand on my birthday jaunt in a CS, and I haven’t stopped wearing them since. Sandwich are Dutch and I wish we had a UK equivalent: https://www.sandwichfashion.co.uk/clothing
Anyway, the top was £3.
Then by the same brand a linen overshirt in bright yellow. Absolutely perfect for summer wear. It is quite oversized but that’s fine with me. And a THIRD Sandwich find – a beautiful white embroidered short-sleeved t in 100% cotton. The linen shirt was £4.50 and the white one £3.
A thin polo neck from Phase Eight. I think it is this one: https://www.johnlewis.com/phase-eight-luca-roll-neck-top-black-gold/p3823944
Dark muted gold and black and will be brilliant for winter layering. £3.50.
A long line ribbed cream vest from Marc Cain for £1.50.
A really pretty camisole by La Redoute. It looks quite small so fingers crossed, but was also £1.50, so worth a whirl.
And finally, a bargain which had me skipping for joy. A Rab women’s ascent jacket in purple. I have a Rab gilet which is about ten years old; I remember paying £89 for it new and it is hands-down the warmest and hardest-wearing gilet I have had. This is a full jacket, and will be amazing for winter dog walks. I can’t find the exact one online, but they are about £120-150 RRP. I paid £6 for this one. When I saw it I couldn’t put it down!
Happy hunting!

@Magpie100 - I'm sitting comfortably with a cup of coffee after a somewhat damp walk and looking forward to reading your next post.
We have ended up cross posting so this comment refers to your previous post now, sorry for the confusion, goldfinches.
Meanwhile, the other day, I was lucky enough to find this pseudo octopus in the hospice shop for £1.50 which was just what I was looking for to hang my masks by the front door so that I stop getting 50 feet away along the pavement and then have to turn around and go back because I've forgotten one. Then across the road in Oxfam I snapped up this Lakeland 9L storage container with an inner shelf thingy for £4.99 and an Addis 3L container for £1.99.
I'm planning to store all my sweet baking supplies in the bigger container which will make getting them out of the larder when I want to use them much easier I think. At the moment I have to root through three small storage shelves for the requisite type of sugar which is a bit of a drag."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

My new mantra of quality not quantity seems to be holding up for now! Early in the week I saw a Seasalt pure linen short sleeved midi shirt dress in my local Mind shop in a dark teal shade. It was priced at £15.25
which I thought was a bit much so I left it. Couple of days later I passed a Seasalt shop so had a squiz inside and was shocked to find similar dresses sell for just shy of £100. Called into the Mind shop on my way home and the dress was still there so I bought it, (gulp). Had my first post-Covid trip to Otley yesterday which did not go very well. Was browsing in the Cancer Research shop when two women came in, one carrying a small bottle of Coca Cola which she promptly dropped. Said bottle exploded and myself and another woman were drenched in sticky brown stuff from head to foot. (I was wearing a white top and stone coloured skirt, (of course!!!) The staff were very good and tried to help the two of us clean up but it was impossible, (Gawd knows what they put in Coca Cola). Anyhoo, in the end the manager asked us both to chose an outfit from the shop free of charge just to get home in. I will give the dress a wash and take it back next time I go, (carefully avoiding anyone carrying carbonated drinks!!!)
