Sorry to hear that valli x
Been a pretty good day here, DH worked for a good few hours so I tackled some paperwork and house admin then sat for a while with my latest book. A bit lazy I suppose but after the madness of the last few months in work the rest is needed.
Thanks for asking about the leg ionafan, it is improving steadily, I am grateful that I only have this one issue to concern me, others have so much more to deal with.
Hugs etc to all, see you tomorrow x10 -
Hi all
Soup and bread made for lunch tomorrow, at the same time that I made a pie for tonight, which I was pleased about. Despite my tidying efforts there seems to be a lot of Christmas gibble cluttering up the kitchen and utility and it is starting to irritate me now. I am trying to ignore it. Floors swept and swished with the mop. DW has just finished but I will empty it in the morning.
DS and GF have had an argument, something to do with when they should both leave their respective family homes and go back to Uni, its all very complicated and has got blown out of proportion, the way these things do. The atmosphere has been slightly tense all evening and it sounds like they are on the phone again now.
I have a new book to read so might head off to bed soon, apart from anything else the heating is off and there is no more wood for the fire in so its getting cold.
Sorry to hear about your loss Valli x12 -
I'm sorry to hear about your relative, Valli. Condolences to your mum too xx
I have done a few more little jobs today, WMx3 has been part dried in the TD and everything is now hanging on or round the bathroom radiators to dry out fully. Rosie has had a walk in the snow and been played with, and I made us a very nice mince and bean stew - not quite a chilli - for our evening meal. In this cold weather I am constantly hungry, so I have decluttered the last of the mince pies.
Tomorrow we shall be in Tier 4. Good night all xx

Morning all.
From yesterday's list I started to fill a charity bag and cleaned the insides of the upstairs windows.
Just one work shift today and then I have to take DH to the docs. I have to go in with him today to get instructions on how to change his new type dressing. Oh joy......
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Condolences, Valli, and also to your mum x
Hugs all round, especially to Jazee, Narc0 and Valli.
Big town went into tier 4 last night, while we remain a little oasis of tier 3. So DD has a double driving lesson booked which can go ahead but waiting to hear that her test early next week is cancelled. I know it’s a very minor thing in the world, but to her it is another massive blow. Plus it means that I will definitely be continuing with the dreaded driving practice...
DD cleaned her room last night and said that she will change her bedding this morning. That’s my flying ticked off then. I intend to finish DSis Christmas jumper today - 5 long rows left. Then I can wrap it up. I’m sick of seeing Christmas and its mess around the house, but, like YL, I am trying to ignore it. Tomorrow I think is fair game though for getting rid of it.
Thank you all for being there. You don’t know what a lifeline you are atm x11 -
I'm meeting a friend for a walk outdoors today. As far as I can ascertain this is fine.
I am furious. If keeping schools open is so important why are school staff not being prioritised for the vaccine? (Along with NHS staff)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli, my thoughts to your family x with regard to school, I really don't think the Gov. know what they are doing, it is a very confused message at the moment, for example T4 Zoos, wildlife parks etc can be open, yet we can only go out locally for exercise.....so why are they open...........So farClean up after a vomiting cat yuk, he seems ok now, and has been running around the garden, while I was feeding the birds.WM is onHoovered roundSwept the kitchenGot mince out to defrost for shepherds pie tonightEmptied the dehumidifier I put in my garden shed office / eby store, it had about 1/4 pint of water in it.It is freezing here, but the sun has now made its way out, but still icyBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I’m actually thinking that I would quite like to hibernate through to the end of 2021 if that’s ok with the world.DD’s driving test cancelled, and now she it seems that she has lost her job, for calling in sick the day that she had her hospital news and couldn’t face the world.
On the plus side, I have finished knitting The Jumper, just need to sew it together.9 -
Valli Condolences xx
Fayolle Sorry about DD’s driving test and job news 🙁
I’m starting to spring clean my living room today. DS2 has gone to stay in an autism place. There will be lots of fraught meetings etc in next few weeks. I’m numb.
our bed stripped and wm is on10 -
Hugs Valli, Fayolle, Dancemum and anyone else who needs them.
Work shift done, I just need to shut systems down later today so 15 minutes tops. Been to doc with DH. Just sitting with a cuppa before lunch. Think rest of today will be reading magazine and doing some more stitching on the curtains. In my defence I did tidy some shelves in my office and did the shredding while work was quiet.Spend less now, work less later.12
