Been for a walk around a couple of reservoirs with DD. Very busy; people around in groups that clearly break covid guidelines of two people meeting outdoors from different households but they're outdoors so I don't see the issue. Am currently trying to find out what the very dark-coloured heron-like bird we saw was - it appears there is a blue heron and a purple heron...
It was very muddy. Wore my hiking boots (good choice and they are SO comfortable; I've had them years and they were DS's first until he outgrew them) and we walked over 3km. Hard work though, as I am out of practice.
Just put spuds on for mash to go with the stew in the SC. All pots dried and away; kitchen looking ok.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

The house has finally been de-Christmassed. Boxes of decorations have been sorted, old boxes out for recycling, and empty plastic storage boxes used. These came about as a result of the pre-Christmas loft tidy, so good job done all round. Decs now back in the loft, and the LR, DR and hall have been vacuumed. It’s a relief not to be looking at it all.
Long and worrying conversation had with DSiL who is a nurse at a large tier 4 hospital. It beggars belief what they are having to deal with. Enough said.
YL - a coastal walk and chips in the rain sounds like heaven. Glad you enjoyed it.9 -
Morning. Another quiet day planned here.Spend less now, work less later.7

Morning xx
I've been thinking. (Best to duck now). I'm definitely going for H2H2021 - and, now that DS and GF have moved out and I plan to downsize into a bungalow at some point in the next decade, every item that stays will have to pass the 'do I need / want it in the bungalow?' test. And the resulting declutter will make flying easier too. Sounds like a plan
So with the shining light that is Honey Bear held up for inspiration I will begin.
Round 1 =
get dressed
feed the birds
recycle Christmas/New Year TV guide (make a note to buy a cheaper one next year) (mse)
recycle Elvis 2020 calendar x 2
move all data across from bog-standard useful 2021 calendar
recycle bog-standard 2020 calendar
bring down laundry hamper
sort washing into loads
set 1st load swishing
That'll do for H2H2021 Day1 Round 1.
Hugs to all especially Fayolle, dancemum, YL and asb xx
Much love to all xx

Morning all,
What a great post, Round! You sound so motivated, well done you 🥳🥳
Its bright and freezing here again today. So far the children have been fed, the WM is on and I've unloaded the DW. Determined not to overdo it this weekend, Monday will be here before I know it and I have a feeling it's going to be a challenging and weird few weeks at work. Have lovely days all xx8 -
Morning all
Well done, Round. And you too ASB, as I have just read your inspiring and humbling post on the other thread.
Bizarrely, when I was contemplating the world from my bed earlier, I was thinking that a move to a bungalow maybe should feature in our longer term plans. Not that anyone would buy our abandoned DIY project of a house anytime soon. But the weirdness of flylady thoughts yet again coming subconsciously through the ether, maybe 😉.
Wm is on with a full white wash. I need to sort out the clean washing, and also do some more admin stuff. Need a good kick up the backside to get going.
Have a lovely day all x7 -
Thank you asb xx Serious chicken envy here - just read your post on the other thread
Thank you Fayolle xx Flylady thoughts probably don't come much weirder than minebut I did warn you to duck!!!! Gentle bump from socked foot is being aimed at your derriere xx
Round 1 completed + deleted some emails and unsubscribed to a bunch of email senders; left a bunch of no longer relevant Facebook groups; recycled an empty chocolate box and opened my bedroom and bathroom windows to let some (very) fresh air in.
Day1 Round 2 =
Put first load of washing on airer / radiator
set second load swishing
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
put away bag of Christmas presents x2

Dailies done with the exception of putting the recycling out which I'll do next. One wash load in machine. I've had a lovely walk in the frozen countryside with the dogs. We've just got back and it's snowing and settling now. Breakfast dishes are also washed.Spend less now, work less later.7

Morning all. I've been up since 7.30..blooming cats woke me up. Then when I got up they all fell asleep.🤣
So took advantage of it being quiet and did the ironing for the week (wasn't doing the whole lot I'd need someone to do it for me..lol)
Tidied up the living room, without making too much noise, had my shower and got dressed as I've got the pet food deliveries coming early (Dave is still asleep with the dog..)Had my breakfast of porridge and about 4 cups of tea..lol Now looking at the cards and wondering if I can take them down today. Dave switched off the outside lights yesterday so he just needs to dismantle and put away in the week.
Going to tidy the cutlery drawer today and pack up all my mugs that are on display. Oooh that reminds me must order packing boxes in different sizes. I think Dave is going to get the storage unit next week so things can start going down there soon 😀
Hugs to everyone, especially Valli, dancemum, Fayolle and asb 💓
Back later xxx
