Gently lobbing Round’s well aimed sock back northwards so that she can use it again on BadCat...
Following the sock assault, I managed to:
sort the washing, QHI, hang up newly washed load
clean the ensuite and the bathroom
clean the window in the box room, as it was like looking through a fog
tackle some paperwork - trying to sort what I have to do with various child savings accounts for when DD turns 18 this month. Cancelled a standing order in good time to try to alleviate some of the pain that will be trying to deal with a well known once-on-the-high-street bank.
decided on an easy dinner of chickpea and sweet potato burgers, hoping that DH won’t notice yet another veggie meal!
DH is rummaging through old photos for some reason and providing a running commentary...
Welcome MrsRyan. Maybe if you look back at some of the old lists from September / October, you might be able to piece together the list that you are looking for, but I would just go with the flow as the new week starts. The lovely list ladies do like to keep us on our toes though by mixing it up!
Hugs all round, especially to dancemum, Narc0, Valli and ASB x8 -
I have spent an hour or so in the garden! I have checked some bits in the greenhouse, filled a large trug with compost from Lottie the Hottie, poo picked & cleared up a pot that had been trashed by foxes. I need to shred more paper as that bucket is now empty.
I need to have some lunch, and maybe take the dog out. I have a serious case of cba today!8 -
Thank you Fayolle - I probably just need to chill and focus on level one for each day rather than trying to do too much.Conserve my energy for the weeks ahead! 😂Start Weight: 230lbs Goal Weight: 175lbs Current Weight: 230lbs8

Well DS2 and a car full of stuff are returned to the big city. I did so well to hold it together as he put his arms around me outside his student house and said "love you Mum, thanks for an amazing Christmas". I miss him already.
Came home and busied myself taking the tree down, the decs are all stacked in DSs room, DH will get the boxes out of the loft tomorrow to be filled and put back. Dough in the breadmaker to make pizza for tea, hoover run round, laundry over the airer in my office with the dehumidifier going. DS1 is at work, DH is glued to a new playstation game like an overgrown teenager.
Tomorrow is the last day before the madness of the paid stuff begins so I will be trying to relax a bit, with possibly a walk somewhere if the weather isnt too bad.9 -
Christmas is boxed up and back in the attic, less one string of lights - the fuse bulb had blown, been replaced and the replacement has also blown. This is ringing alarm bells so I have rescued all the bulbs and prepared the wire for the recycling bin. If it were normal times I would be keeping my eye out for a new set in the sales...
Welcome Mrs Ryan - you'll soon get the hang oof it. Some of us have been here years (looks rounds whistling innocently) and we still don't live in pristine show homes.

Snow envy here, but having said that, it was lovely and sunny which is better than the freezing fog we've had lately.
Had a trip to the next small town to get a paper as our village shop was closed. Had to go in to C00p to get NHS presents - a lady in our village is a midwife and asked if anyone would consider donating 'treats' for the nurses who are so exhausted. While I was in there, I noticed that some cooking sauces we like were on half price.....
Mr N and I took the Christmas decorations and tree down in the church (yes I'm another one who leaves home ones up until the last minute - it's Cmas until 12th night as far as I'm concerned; I'm still playing Heart Xmas radio much of the day.....). Had a hoover and sweep round; there is a funeral on Thursday so I daresay knowing our bats (we have 4 roosts, 3 species at the last count) I will need to go back on Wednesday.
Had a lovely walk through the fields behind the church.
Hand washed my hat and gloves which have been much-used recently.
Mr N washed my car.
That's about all of anything remotely resembling flying, although I have nearly finished my final report.
Mr N managed to get through to the hospital; after a stroppy day yesterday refusing to be turned, blood tested etc MIL is having a mainly sleeping day today; I'm sure the nurses are grateful. However I can't imagine how scary it is for a person with dementia to be put on a ward with nurses she doesn't know dressed in strange clothes constantly trying to stick needles in her etc.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Lively conversation on the Flyladies FB group today!
Glad to hear that your MIL is holding her own, Narc0 xxx
Welcome MrsRyan [waves]
Fayolle, you have achieved a lot today - you put me to shame.
However, I did all the flying I said I would, took Rosie for her walk, and have made 2 long phonecalls to friends. And it took me just 5 minutes to plate up and reheat half of the leftovers for tonight's meal8 -

Evening all,
I have been researching jobs this evening. There doesn’t seem to be much around. Ignoring the fact that I haven’t had paid employment since April 2002 so no references.Ground floor stick cleaned and more of DS2’s belongings packed up and collected. We are still not allowed to visit. Room is looking emptier so I’m going to continue and get it ready for decorating.8 -
Morning all.
Bathrooms s&sd and house quickly hoovered through. Indoor plants watered.Spend less now, work less later.9
