You're right sugarbaby. We can all choose whether to engage or not. What interests me is that having engaged with the media in any form we can come away with  different opinions. I commented earlier on Dolly Parton and how I admired her public support for vaccination (even if I didn't like her cut away sleeves 😉). Conversely I was critical of the PM and his girlfriend. This was partly because I think the style was OTT but also because I think it's incredibly insensitive to overspend the redecoration budget by thousands and thousands of pounds in the current circumstances. I think they're reasoned opinions, both are public figures but we don't have to agree with both or either. 🤔

Maman, I love that Dolly quite literally paid for for her jab with her funding for the Moderna vaccine 😁
And I really do wish that the mother of baby Wilfred of Downing Street would arrange for his father to buy a properly fitting suit!

I wouldn't call myself a country and western fan but Dolly does have a good voice for that genre and many of her songs are catchy. It's great that she paid for her vaccine Floss in a way but also for so many others by donating hugely to the research and development. 😊

I feel the same, don't normally listen to country and western and don't really know the names of any other country and western singers but Dolly is a one off.  She is uplifting isn't she, she is such a positive person and yes generous with her money.

Please all be kind to each other.   I love this thread and read it everyday and feel I have got to know everyone just a little.  I think this stage of the pandemic has made everyone more irritable and more likely to take offence - on here and in real life - it’s sad.  It’s won’t be long and things will be better and we will still all need each other so don’t let’s fall at the last hurdle.

I have already made it clear that I was not accusing anyone on this thread of being racist.  Twice actually.  

Where I "entirely agreed" with SUgarbaby was with her desire to see this thread not become a platform for "demonising public figures". But, alas it already has, and it has been that way for a little while now.  

I am well aware that this is not "my" thread and therefore I cannot determine which direction it should take.  If people wish this thread to be more similar to those on the currently suspended Discussion Board then that's fair enough.  However, for me that takes the thread too far away from its original remit.  So that is why I said, it is with regret, that I no longer wish to be a member.  

I shall continue my journey from frump to fab in my own way, elevating the quality of my everyday and working towards a future full of happiness and joire de vie.

Back to fabbing....

I had a lovely soak in the bath today and used my Korean Italy towels for exfoliation and so much dead skin came off.  I finished off with my sanctuary spa wet skin moisture.   It’s been a busy few weeks at work, so I really needed the pampering. 

Today, I bought some of the 75p Easter eggs from Tesco’s for our nieces and nephews.  I thought I should grab them while they are on offer and save myself a couple of pennies 🤣.

Apparently as his dad was a Texan, state law said that he was not allowed to marry a white woman, and his CO wouldn't have given him permission to marry in the UK 😥

Thanks for the tip about this, I found it really interesting.  All 3 stories were fascinating and really touching.  I will watch the rest of the series, I think it says there are 4 episodes.
