I love your bookcase, Sugarbaby. I have a small one in the sitting room and a large one which the Boy left in the spare room. Both completely filled with with books and there are still hundreds of them stashed away in cupboards. My plan is to get another big bookcase for the spare room but first everything needs a really good clean and declutter.
I think I might invest in one of those nail files too. My nails are not the greatest and one of them has a fault which splits vertically once it reaches a certain length so I need to keep them fairly short.
Nothing much happening here. If truth be told I'm still not feeling 100% so much so that I had to cancel my hairdressing appointment on Monday. Hoping I'll pick up soon.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
My this thread has raced along!
Pixie , how awful for your g son to experience racism so young. I hope there was no more said. I don't like gloss painting either, but have painted wicker on a few items , one being a chair many years ago, in regular use ,and it has worn well.
My nails have been terrible, again I blame the sanitizer! Mine are ultra short now and they get the horrid splits running vertically. I have been doing my own gel /light box polish, which helps against all the cleaning g I do at work. I have a crystal nail file I got from opi with nail polishes a few years ago , I must remember to use that more. I've got a pale pink with a silver glitter tip at the moment.
Today I'm going to lunch ,we are sitting outside but it has a huge glass veranda with heaters. I'm planning on a midi dress in mustard with black animal type print, it has elbow length sleeves with ruching on . I think I will need a cardigan! And black leather jacket, opaque tights and as we aren't walking a suede ankle boot with a small block heel 😁 I can't remember last time I wore a heel!! I have terrible sore feet and only will wear if I know I'm sitting down!
Toni I hope you are feeling better soon, shame about missing the hairdresser.
My garden is looking good and I managed to put my solar lights back out, just hoping for sun, so I can sit out!!
We used to take my grandson to St.Annes beach when he was small. It's lovely there.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.6 -
Pixie and Sugarbaby - you are both transforming your homes.
That sounds like a nice outfit Wort. I hope you have a nice time at lunch.
I just ordered the LD crystal nail file and an avocado face mask for myself. I'm about to have a shower and deep condition my hair and then I want to finish the book I started. I also got some herbal tea that is meant to help your sleep. My husband and I both have insomnia because of his changing shift patterns so we can try that to see if it works.
It has warmed up a bit here and it's sunny. I had a hot water bottle a few nights ago! I haven't been out for a walk for the past few days so I might do that later.

Wort my son (a keen footballer) is taking over running the football team as the previous guy has to give up due to work commitments so hopefully he can keep an eye on it.
Toni'sfriend, I have a nail that has a fault, it is very weak and if I'm not very careful it splits. I'm hoping the crystal nail file will help. I'll report back. Hope you are feeling better soon.7 -
Hello Ladies,
Toni's Friend you have hundreds of books. You must be an avid reader like me who prefers physical books.I give my books to charity shops after I have read them apart from the books that have a personal hand written message to me in them. I hope you are feeling well again soon.
Wort your outfit sounds lovely. Enjoy your lunch.
I am trying to make my finger nails stronger and grow them, so I am using No7 strength & growth treatment and No7 nourishing nail & cuticle care on them.

I do read a lot, Sugarbaby, but most of them belong to Himself who is never without a book in his hand. He refuses to let me give any of them away even when he's read them. He also has hundreds if not thousands of music CDs. He inherited a lot from his late brother. You can see why I'm short of storage.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5

Hello Ladies,
I bit the bullet this morning and put my books on the bookcase they way they should be and now I have realised, that there is not much space left to fill. I only have room for some more paperbacks at the moment. I have waited all of my life to own the solid oak bookcase of my dreams and at age 59 I finally own it.

Toni's Friend I have friends who are like your husband and refuse to part with any books, but unfortunately they do not have a large enough home to accommodate a room to convert into a library. I could never have kept all of the books I have read in my lifetime so far, as I would have ended up with huge storage issues. Plus, dusting 200 plus books is definitely enough books for me.5

I have hardly any books. I think I have less than 10 as I normally donate them afterwards. My house isn't really big enough to have a lot of stuff but my husband has quite a large record collection. He has a big comic collection too but they are at his brother's house. He may have to transport them when we move. It depends how big the house/flat we buy is.
It's quite warm out today. I wore my black maxi dress, a pink jumper and sandals and I was almost too hot on the walk.
I went into Boots to buy a sandwich and then I just popped into a hospice charity shop on the way back. I found a pair of grey boots that I wanted. They are dark grey with a stripe of faux snakeskin pattern. Everything in there was only £2.
My crystal nail file and face mask are arriving today so I will try them later tonight. I just went through my wardrobe again and I have a bag of clothes to donate. I think I will go out again tomorrow and go back to the charity shops and look for a couple of summer tops.2025 GOALS
