Thanks Sugarbaby. I ache but I am a bit impressed with myself. I've never painted a hall stairs and landing before so I suppose it is a bit odd to start at nearly 70.
I'm feeling a bit sad, little GS (6) has had his first bit of racism to deal with. Another boy at football calling him names. He looked so confused when he was telling me. I could have cried for him, he is such a little innocent and sees nothing but good in the world. I'm tearing up thinking about it. Makes you wonder about the homes kids are growing up in to hear these things.
Got to get a grip, it might be the first but it won't be the last.7 -
Pixie,
I am sorry to hear about your Grandson's 1st experience of racism. It is very confusing for young children to grasp. It is so sad that this is the World we live in.6 -
It is sad Sugarbaby. I find it strange that it seems to upset me much more than my husband. Maybe he is just desensitised to it as he has dealt with it all his life. It makes me sad and it makes me angry. I can't stop thinking about his little puzzled face.6

pixie your poor GS. I think it’s true, that when racism is your reality you become desensitised to it. But it your GS has a wonderful family and he will grow up loved, for who he is.
sugar I hope you enjoy your table and chairs when they arrive.I’ve been back in the office the past three days. That will be my pattern now - 3 days in the office and 2 at home. I’ve had a busy few days, so I’m looking forward to not having to commute for the rest of the week. Central London is getting busier and it feels like things are getting back to normal. Commuters seem more normal on edge as opposed to pandemic on edge, if you see what I mean.
I have my facial booked for tomorrow lunchtime. My voucher says happy birthday on it and my birthday was in the autumn, so it’s been a long wait and I’m looking forward to it.5 -
Chanie, my team of 6 will be doing hybrid working of 3 in one week, 3 in the other. So I will be sitting at the point of a V facing an empty desk which will have a colleague on either side.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Sorry to hear about your GS, Pixie. You have to wonder what sort of household the other child comes from when he's making remarks at that age. Hope your wee one is ok.
Sorry I haven't been in touch. I haven't been feeling very fab for the past wee while but I had a bit of a pamper session yesterday and I'm feeling better now. Got lots to do today as I have been neglecting everything so better get on with it.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Your outfits sounded nice Wort.
I hope your facial is nice Chanie.
I'm wearing a mini dress tomorrow night with a black roll neck, tights, brown boots and a brown bag. Well, I say night but I think I might go early and walk through the park before we meet at 6.
We watched two films yesterday as my husband has been off work. We keep ordering takeaway food as well! I need to take these stupid delivery apps off my phone.

That's such a sad tale pixie. I feel for you and your little DGS. If you haven't already done so I'd make sure the football coach is aware of what's happened. I know things won't change overnight but there's little chance of anything happening if Premier League footballers are 'taking the knee' to try to raise awareness of racism in football and it's being ignored when 6 year olds are playing.
Good to see you posting TF. We all fall off the wagon at times. The important thing is to get back on ASAP! 😊
I'm glad you sorted out some flexible working chanie. It'll be a better quality of life for you not having to commute daily. That's one of the things I hope doesn't return to 'normal'. Hope you enjoyed your facial. 😊
Are you going to Greenwich again Wednesday? We've been out for lunch today and had a great time catching up with friends. I wore my black & white wrap dress over black tights, long sleeved top and boots. One of the things I noticed is that the menu had changed from mouth watering to eye watering! Seemed like a massive increase in prices since we last ate in the same venue. I think if restaurants decide to increase prices to cover their lockdown losses they'll be shooting themselves in the foot. 🤔6 -

I have noticed what you mean about the prices. I booked the hygienist for after my second jab (I think it was actually July) and it has gone up about £20 since last year! I commented and they said they had to put up their prices. I think I will only do it once a year anyway as I have my water flosser and electric toothbrush etc...
