I wish I had bought a property there when I was younger. It's so expensive now.

Thanks for the positive and supportive thoughts.
I did a manicure last night, my poor nails are terrible and have always been thin and break easily. Not sure if it is all the hand wishing and sanitiser but they are worse than ever. I've cut them short and used a nail strengthening product, it looks like a clear varnish and my nails look much better.
It is raining and very windy here, we seem to have had weeks of it. At land at the back of my house is known locally as Windy Ridge so if it is windy we certainly get more than our fair share.
I'm enjoying my break from painting. Next week I start the gloss and also ordering stuff for the bathroom. I don't want it all in the house for too long before they start but don't want to risk it not being here when they start so a bit of a juggling act.
My British Gas sage gets worse and more complicated, I am tearing my hair out with it but am trying to forget it and let them work it out.
Sounds like lots of you are starting to enjoy coming out of lockdown, we have visitors staying for the next 3 week ends. I feel strangely nervous, I think I've forgotten how to entertain!

Hello Ladies,
My house fabbing continues. I bought a used solid oak dining table with 4 solid oak dining tables. I cleaned them down and they are ready for my family and I to use now. I bought them from eBay for only £52 and they are just lovely.
2 of the armchairs in my Living room need cleaning, but I was quoted £49 each to get them steam cleaned. I went for the money saving option and bought a 10-in 1 Beldray steamer for £17.45. I will clean one of the armchairs tomorrow, then do the other armchair on Sunday.
I have to get the room ready for Monday morning, when my new solid oak tall bookcase is being delivered by Oak Furniture Land. My books will finally have the bookcase they deserve, rather than being in different places around my Living room.

That's a great dining set sugarbaby. 👍 I particularly like the lyre panels in the chairs. I can just picture you and your family around the table with one of your delicious meals with a Jamaican twist. 😋 Is the makeover complete when the bookcase arrives? You seem to have managed it all on a very reasonable budget and all solid, quality items.
When my nails are suffering, I always think it's best to cut them short and start again pixie. I'd keep moisturising too, oil the cuticles and plenty of handcream. Enjoy your weekend. 😊
I've been thinking about Wednesday. It's wet and windy here too. Certainly not a day for a walk in the park. ☹️ Fortunately we can now enjoy an indoor meal.
We met other friends today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was at a country pub, meals were excellent and about 25% cheaper than yesterday. We'll definitely go back. I wore my button through Zara maxi dress with leggings and boots underneath. It's great to get all dressed up with somewhere to go. 😁

I love the dining set, Sugarbaby. Especially the chairs. I really need to get this house sorted out but first we need a massive clear out. I've tried to make a start but Himself is such a hoarder and the Boy was just as bad. We have masses of his stuff still here. It's quite a small house so I feel as if I'm just moving things from one place to another. But I am determined. I bought a shredder the other day to rid us of the decades of paperwork that they've accumulated.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4

Toni I feel your pain. My husband is a hoarder and my heart sinks when another parcel arrives. My youngest son has alot still here but he is down for a visit this weekend and I'm hoping some stuff goes with him.
I'd love the chance to live in a minimalist property, I've never been a hoarder but I hate "stuff" more and more as a reaction to living with a hoarder. If he lived alone I'm sure it would be like one of those TV programmes where people are buried by their own stuff.

CG - that sounds nice where you live. I can't wait to live near a beach.
It was very chilly yesterday. I didn't do the walk across the park and I got the bus instead. I walked past quite a few restaurants with outdoor dining when I got to Blackheath and nobody was sitting out on the chairs this time.
We had quite a nice meal inside the restaurant. I had a roasted vegetable pizza and then we went for drinks at a pub afterwards. I was expecting it to be far busier, but it wasn't really. I suppose some people haven't had even their first jabs yet. The tube was much emptier than normal there and back.
I was feeling fat yesterday and my clothes felt tight when I was trying outfits on.I wore my brown cord short skirt and a blue blouse instead of what I had been going to wear. I think I am bloated from having so much food from takeaways and shops over the past few weeks! They are loaded with salt. I need to start cooking from scratch more like I used to. I'm making a red lentil, potato and carrot soup today so I have some healthy meals to grab in the fridge.
I want to go back to the cinema too. I was saying that there are some outdoor ones in London that we could go to. I know there is a rooftop one in Stratford. The weather would have to warm up a bit though.
