    Thanks for your concern, ladies.  The pain has subsided and I’ve had lots discharge from my ear, so I think I’m over the worst of it.  I think the infection was worse than I initially thought it was and if I had a face to face appointment with my GP (which I declined), they would have picked up on that and given me stronger medication.
