Thanks for your concern, ladies. The pain has subsided and I’ve had lots discharge from my ear, so I think I’m over the worst of it. I think the infection was worse than I initially thought it was and if I had a face to face appointment with my GP (which I declined), they would have picked up on that and given me stronger medication.4

Chanie, it is good that your ear infection is beginning to clear up and the pain has subsided.4

The ear thing sounded horrible Chanie. I'm glad you feel a bit better.
I want to go to Boots today to look for the vegan meal deal as I was watching a YT video about supermarket meal deals over the weekend. Exciting thing to do now restrictions are easing!
I watched The Woman in the Window on Netflix last night. It got bad reviews but I really enjoyed it. I think I am going to go to cancel Netflix soon now I can go out again I don't feel like I need it.
I'm trying out the new short plaid skirt today but it is a bit big. I didn't think I was allowed to try on clothes in the chazzer and I think it was labelled wrongly. It still fits okay but I'm not sure about wearing it out on Friday night. I'm wearing it with a sheer black jumper over a black vest top with brown ankle boots and tights. Bit dressed up for a trip to Boots. Oh well.

We're out to lunch with friends on Thursday and Friday. As it's indoors I'm definitely going to wear a dress both times. Tomorrow evening we're lucky enough to have tickets for our football team. That'll be weather dependent in terms of what I wear but I'll be doing my make up and looking my best as it makes me feel good.
Not planning on going anywhere today though. It's an odd day as it's bright one minute and then torrential showers. I've put flaxseed oil instead of serum on today to really moisturise my skin. I've half done a manicure too. I'll finish it off when I'm sitting down later.
Hope everyone has a good week. 😊6 -
I'm tired and sore but the decorating is looking good. Yesterday I gave the hall a second coat and did the ceiling. Today I've emulsioned the stairwell three walls and ceiling. Tomorrow I will emulsion the landing. Then I'm having a few days break and starting the gloss on Monday and I need to do 2 doors a day with 3 on one day plus doing skirtingboards and stair rail. Would be nice to get it finished next week but I'd rather take my time than over do it or mess it up.
The stairwell was a nightmare, even with my telescopic roller it was pushing it to get to the top but it was worth it.
I need to buy the gloss and I think I'm going to buy a new doormat.
I think I've lost weight, not just the exercise but being busy for most of the day means I haven't been snacking all day so that is a bonus.
Hope everyone is well and having fun.

I had lunch with my friends yesterday, how wonderful it felt. I made an effort and wore a a round necked blouse with full sleeves and long cuffs with tiny buttons similar to leg o mutton sleeves, in yellow with a tiny white flower design. I wore it with navy jeggings which were new and my tan leather jacket. Though I really didn't need it as it turned out really warm. I put eye makeup and lipstick on which is the first time in ages, as for work I only usually put on foundation with mascara and eyebrow pencil.
When I got back I had to go for my 2nd covid jab, so changed into boyfriend jeans and short sleeved cream t shirt with pink and navy dragonfly design, topped with my pink denim jacket.
I'm off today too!! So going for a walk this morning, and if the weather stays nice do a bit of gardening when I get back, the garden is looking lovely , i dont normally buy bedding plants but picked up some reduced ones and did some pots ,which alongside all my perennials looks great.I'm hoping the good weather stays to enjoy it.
Purple pixie good luck with the painting, I used to love it and the finished result is worth it, but it gets harder to complete in a day now. And the gloss part is the worst. It's a good idea to take a break and then go back to it. XFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.6 -
What a lovely outfit wort. I particularly like the sound of the blouse, very elegant.😊
Unfortunately it absolutely tipped down when we went to football last night so it was definitely jeans and a parka for me! I felt a bit like a drowned rat, but it was good to get out.
You've certainly got the decorating bug pixie. The project seems to have grown immensely in the last couple of weeks. Soon you'll have done the whole house!
I watched that programme about moneysaving earlier in the week.
How to Save a Grand in 24 Hours - All 4 (channel4.com)
I'm always amazed at the mess some people can get themselves into but there are often some good tips. In this week's episode, they were spending £2500 a year on beauty products for their daughter who looked about 13 years old. They didn't even estimate how much the mother was spending. What caught my eye was a reusable make up remover cloth. It was a bit like this one
Superdrug Studio Make Up Remover Cloth | Make Up | Superdrug
At the moment I'm using up some wipes that I had in the cupboard but when they're gone I'm definitely getting something reusable, either a cloth or pads
Changeable here. OK provided you dodge the showers.

Wort you sound very glamorous.
Well I can announce the emulsion is done, hall, stairs, landing and ceilings. I'm definitely not starting the gloss till next week but I might paint two little bookcases I have on the landing, they are wicker and I've had them for 40 years but no idea how old they are as they were secondhand, think they would benefit from a little tarting up. I absolutely ache, my knees from climbing up and down and my arms from all the rollering particularly when I was using the roller with the telescopic handle.
I've got some paid work tomorrow so what with what I've saved on the decorating and earning some money I'm doing well this month.
£2,500 on beauty products for a 13 year old, sounds like madness to me but the cloth sounds good.
The sun is shining here which is a relief as it seems to have rained non stop for weeks. Hope it lasts.

Hello Ladies,
Pixie, I take my hat off to you, with regards to the mammoth painting task that you are undertaking. you leave me in awe of your painting skills. You have earned a rest before you tackle the gloss painting.
Wort both of your outfits sounded lovely. It is great to have a reason to make an effort isn't it.
I was offered an earlier delivery date for the new tall solid oak bookcase that I bought in March. I am so pleased that it is going to be delivered on Monday.
I managed to buy a used solid oak dining table and 4 solid oak dining chairs on eBay yesterday. I have had to move a lot of items in my Living room today and do some rearranging to make space for them, as they are being delivered tomorrow. I am really looking forward to taking delivery of them and giving them a good overall clean.
