Successful morning all round. Found prom dress and reserved for her date. £69 for the hire of it which includes alterations once we have the shoes she will be wearing. It was crazy in the shop and we were glad we got there just before opening time as we were first in. It's a small shop filled with dresses and wherever you stand you are in the way. There were at least 8 girls with their mums /sisters / aunts all waiting for us to get done as there are only 3 changing rooms and very narrow walkways. Glad its sorted.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Lazy morning so far and nothing much planned for the rest of the day. Its the only day every fortnight that we don't need to get up for something, so it tends to be the day we all sleep in. No plans of spending money today as nothing that we need and no plans to go anywhere. Instead we will be doing washing, cooking, homework etc ready for the week ahead. Also eagerly awaiting bank details from the builder lol - doubt they will appear today so still going for a no spend dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Happy belated Birthday! Hope your roast dinner was lovely.Great job on the shredding paperwork sort out. Helps so much with feeling on top of things.Hope the builder responds soon and gets sorted. And I hope the leak was just a random thing with no reoccurrence xxxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Thank you Kitten, roast dinners are always great
Unfortunately still no news from the builder, its been 2 weeks since our last emails so will try again to get his bank details so I can get money to him to buy the materials needed. We haven't had any more issues with the leak so not sure what to think, but we haven't had the heating on for any length of time like that one incident.
Only one more week before half term. Work is going well but is really busy. I have a lot to do before Friday lunchtime. I have already planned the week with free / cheap activities to do as well as revision for DD1 and homework for the others. We also need to declutter house a little too. We will visit a local town one day so I can do some banking, plus there is a shop they wanted to visit last time but it was shut. Another day we will be doing our usual outdoor cooking, and if XH doesn't take them to the cinema this Sunday as promised, I will take them next week to see Sing 2. I've not booked the tickets as yet as there is a 1% chance he might actually keep his word, but I expect to book them at the beginning of the week! I will happily cancel all plans however if the builder decides next week is the week lol.
Feeling good as DS has now chosen his options. We had parents evening for him and if he keeps going as he is he should be ok. My job for the rest of this school year now is to get DD1 through GCSE's and DD2 through SATS although DD2 should be fine.

What a weight lifted with Ds choosing his options! Did the responses from certain teachers at parents evening help sway it?Great work on sorting out half term plans. My youngest really wants to watch sing 2 but I can't stand xfactor so I'm doing my best to avoid it. If it's on at home I can walk away but if in a cinema I'm stuck with it.Have a lovely weekend xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

It certainly helped listening to certain teachers. His problem was that he wanted to do 2 very similar ones, but was only allowed to do one of them. After speaking with them it was obvious which one he should go for to use his skills better. I didn't realise how much it was weighing me down but I felt it lift once the form was completed.
The kids are going for a walk through a field to see cows today with XH and the other woman. None of them want to go. DD and DS know that if other woman is going so will her kids and they will become babysitters while they sneak off for cuddles! They have had enough and keep saying this is the day he is supposed to pay them attention. No point going if he is just going to keep sneaking off. I cant disagree.
Anyway it means they are not going to the cinema so will try to book it later. Going to appointment with my friend today as she doesn't want to go alone and has always been there for me.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well covid has arrived. DD2 tested positive this morning before school. So far the rest of us are ok but guessing its only a matter of time. I think we have done pretty well to avoid it so far, but it is now sweeping through her school class and as she hasn't been jabbed due to her age we are not surprised. I've still had to go into work for the mornings and left her doing school work online with a teacher, but I've said none of us will do anything outside of school just in case. Next week is half term so hoping we are all good for that

Thank you dawnybabes, so far it's just DD2 that has tested positive, so just waiting to see. Feeling tired today so hoping for early night all round. This last week of term at school is crazy and there was a false alarm from Osted yesterday about coming to visit so everyone is just waiting for the confirmation / rescheduled call now. I also had to speak to XH's other half today as she comes to my school to drop children off. They were running late so I had to let them in - not the best start to my day and typical the other 2 people in the office had vanished in that moment. I was polite and professional but not sure what my face said lolMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well I am positive as of this morning so now staying home with DD2. Feeling ok although awful stomach ache last night but feels ok this morning. So todays jobs are to sort the house as it looks so messy, just in case I cant do anything for a little while. Also helping out with DD2 school work and going through work emails.
I also need to see if I can get a food shop now that I have cancelled my monthly pass for that. I have back up food for emergencies but will need a few other fresh bits. Right must get goingMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
