Thank you Honeysucklelou2.  Yes we are feeling fine.  Yesterday afternoon and this afternoon I have been hit with really needing a nap - not sure if its the covid or just because we've relaxed a little.  DD2 has started to cold like symptoms today but feels fine.  I think we are very lucky and hope this is as bad as it will get.  The other 2 still haven't tested positive even though living within close contact with us as no room not to really.

Very excited and nervous about building starting.  I know we have drawn plans and measured things many times to make sure they fit, but what if rooms are so small and they look terrible.  I know its only nerves, but I've never done anything like this before so it is unknown.  My sister is a pro at this and reckons they will be fine

  •   When I had Covid I had an afternoon nap and early nights as I felt so tired. You never know with the others. When DD4 had Covid in October none of us got it despite us being at home during half term.

Well I am still ok but like the Queen have mild cold like symptoms.  I feel in good company now lol.  Not much has happened yet today and I am working my way up to getting the roast cooked tonight.  Plenty of tv and sitting while the kids play on the computer together.  I've also been naughty and ordered some chocolates through amazon which should be arriving shortly - been wanting some for a while - naughty pleasure, but will share with the children.

Sorry to hear you've caught the dreaded plague. Very pleased you're getting the lite version though. You're triple jabbed so it should kick in super immunity for you from what I've read. Also happy you've avoided eunice.
I think if you weren't panicking about the building work being the wrong decision you'd be crazy. Changes always have to feel scary once you've pulled the trigger.
As for exh new bit of stuff I'm sure she just was caught off guard. It must be awkward having to hand your children to person whose life you pooed on. Luckily for her you're a lovely person. Xxx

Thank you kitten, I have got the mild version but I do feel rough currently.  I do however have my 1st negative test (not sure how as I feel worse rather than better).  Anyway I am still functioning but organising homework etc while resting on sofa, so I can hopefully be full of energy later this week for room clearance.

I just seem to be inundated with all the little things. So many little toys all over my house. And paperwork. The relentless need to purge when you have children. Not declutter but purge is so tough. I have moments where I just want to throw everything away but the nintendo switch. It's all they play with anyway. It just gets too much finding homes for lol doll shoes and all the pieces of paper that come home from school. If you have success at your place can you come do mine?
If you're feeling ill do take the time to rest. I haven't been and I'm still run down and a cold has totally taken me out. Let me be your cautionary tale. I know you're resting but you have big plans xxx

I plan on being lazy for the next few days.  I totally get the issue with toys everywhere yet only playing with electronic devices. I wonder why we have everything else and why I am planning for storage in their rooms!  Happy to help share what works here lol

My kids are still really young so do play with toys (6 and 3 years old) so we have quite a few! I am quite ruthless at purging. What helps a lot is having quite a few smaller boxes/baskets within shelving systems so we can keep everything very organised in their playroom - rather than one big toy box that becomes a jumble, there’s a box of train track, a box of dolls etc. Small card type games all in a box instead of shoved on a shelf etc.

And art supplies are all lined in clip top lidded tubs (the kind where they stack and all the lids fit all the tubs as the bigger ones are just taller, not wider) - so a lidded tub for pens, for glue sticks, for sequins, for googly eyes etc.

For paperwork, I have a folder to keep homework stuff in, an in tray for things which need auctioned and a big tub for artwork - when it’s full we weed through it rather than keeping everything.

The thing that always gets on top of me is outgrown clothes or bags of hand me downs I’m given, so the cupboard in their room is constantly rammed full 😂

Thank you bluegreen for the suggestions - everything having its own place is my plan, and that will require getting rid of things no longer needed.

Well i have had 2 negative tests in a row and am therefore allowed to leave the house.  Only problem is I feel pants.  I get light headed if standing for too long and still cant breath through my nose.  I am therefore still staying home for a little longer. DD2 is still testing positive but I believe her day 10 is tomorrow so will then be free.

We were supposed to be doing our outdoor cooking today but cancelled earlier in the week once realising it wasn't going to happen.  They rang to check where we were this morning!  They did say we can still have our box of food so my Dad has been given instructions on when and where to go.  This food will keep us going for a good few days so I've not done another online order as yet.  Hopefully we will get to the outdoor cooking next holiday.

Homework almost completed so it will be all go hopefully tomorrow moving girls bedrooms into my room and the garage.  I would like to fill my petrol up in the car before it rises any more.  Long journeys will definitely need to be minimised as costs rise

Well I am feeling more energetic today (as I rest on the sofa lol) and can breath again which is nice.  I realised that I have lost my sense of smell as I can't smell the lovely wax melts I have on currently.  I have been to the petrol station to fill up before prices get even higher.
So far a good amount of the girls bedroom has made their way to the living room.  It then needs to make its way to the garage, but the sky is currently black so will wait a little while before we do that.  The rooms are showing more signs of damp so i need to make sure we get the dehumidifier out a little more often
