That’s something to look forward to. I totally agree, I have now instituted Sunday as a no or low screen day depending on age as it concerns me how many hours slip by on screens.

Haven't been on for nearly a month as life is hectic but came to your diary first, I am so pleased the ex is off the mortgage and you can move on with your life.

Thank you Eager Elephant, yes it was a good day that that happened.  Life is definitely getting back to the hectic ways of pre lockdown.  I am very conscious that we keep some elements of lockdown in this house as we were all happy in our little bubble, but I am also looking forward to being able to go places when we like.  Need to have happy balance compare to the trying to fit as much into our lives before lockdown.  We will be saying 'No' to the things we don't enjoy so much a little more from now on.

What a pain the silly work coach is! I understand that they need to motivate people to work but you were being honest and open with her and it still wasn't enough. I never knew there were different allowances with different ages. Hopefully that will just stay easy now you're back at work.
Well done on booking your overnight stay and your lovely plans. You seem to get more out of something small than other people get out of luxury trips.

Hope you hear from the mortgage lady soon xxx

We are easily pleased here.  I found from last years trip in the caravan my lot don't like the entertainment side of things that this type of holiday provides and having meals in the main area are far too noisy and crowded for us.  I have asked for a quiet table if there is one at the carvery, but realise its at a seaside town and in the holidays so not holding my breath.  I told my Dad about our trip and he was amazed i only booked 1 night.  Longer would have been nice but i want money to spend on the rest of the 6 weeks too so 1 will do.  We can still get 2 full days there and the treat of a 'hotel' lol.

I think a lot of people are staying closer to home this year, as we have learnt we never know what's going to happen at the moment.  We are only going to be about an hour away so could have driven home, but i think its a nice treat.  Was telling a friend how nice it will be not to have to sneak extra child into the room.  We have on 2 previous occasions when XH let us have a night away (he didn't like going away) had to sneak a child in as you can only have 4 people per room.  DD2 was very small and we took her a sleeping bag and she was happy with the floor.  It was that or split us into 2 rooms which we wouldn't have been able to afford.   Now we fit even if DD2 gets to share a big bed with me and complain of my snoring lol

Today i have completed my first weekly shop in a major supermarket (as i forgot to place order in time).  I spent more than i normally would.  Not sure if it was because i picked up what we needed or if it was because we are healthy eating from this week (become a little out of control on the treats lately).  Anyway it wasn't too busy and we survived.  Got plenty of fruit and veg to keep us going and to eat healthy for the next week.  I dont think anything that exciting and new has appeared since we last visited.  I have put on weight since the first lockdown and i was already overweight to start with so it needs tackling  My lack of self control is the main reason for failure so i have tried not to buy anything too nice in the treat department and only bought bits the kids like.  That way i would have to be extremely desperate to eat the fattening foods.   I must admit if i was looking less frumpy and fat the next time i have to see XH it would be a plus (not seen him since he signed papers i don't think).

This morning i looked at my bank and realised no mortgage payment went out.  First time in over 20 years of my life.  It took me a little while to realise.  Also just had half my hair chopped off - got to be a few pounds worth to take off my weight lol.  That will be my haircuts sorted for another year as i only ever get it done once a year at the most.  I wear it up most of the time so doesn't really matter on the length, although it was getting too long this time.
Todays jobs are a bit of admin and then trying to get the house respectable again :)
