What a lovely few days of sunshine.  Everything i think has now been washed and line dried - love this time of the year.  Last load is still on the line but will be bought in before too long and people start up their BBQs.  Last night DD2 went to the first party for sometime.  They are all in her class bubble and had a sleepover in a teepee outside.  According to the nan of the birthday girl she partied all night long and was one of the two girls still awake at 2am when they were told it was time for sleep - they are 10! I'm going to need help when she gets older I feel lol.  We have been sorting the house today and DS2 has now fallen asleep on sofa after having a toddler tantrum because i asked her to take something up to her room.  Will give her an hour or so nap and then wake her or she will never sleep tonight.  No idea what's for dinner tonight but I told kids it is too nice for a roast.  My sister is visiting tomorrow and tuesday - hence the tidying up - but not really sure what we are up to as yet.
I need to resubmit my last job application as it would appear i have missed a large part out.  They council have recently changed the way they do things and i think i must have applied for the job that was part old and part new system. It didn't mention this section on the application and unless you scrolled down after the 'apply here' button (which was not very obvious that you needed to do) you would have missed this bit - which i did.  It was only after reading several of the other positions being advertised for that council, where it says on the application, that i thought i better go back and check.  Anyway i have withdrawn my original application and about to reapply.  This is the job i would be happy with so i need to get it right.  Maybe it will help me that application is not very clear and will reduce the number of applications considered.  Ok best get it sorted while its peaceful here :)

Good morning, another sunny day it would appear.  I finally got the application form off for the job i like after a lot of problems, but its done.  We enjoyed some quality time and walking in some beautiful parks with my sister over the past few days.  We visited one of the forests that has been on my list for a while.  It was lovely and less commercial feeling than the one we normally go to.  On the walk we hardly saw anyone even thought there were plenty of people parked up. A very nice relaxing day, picnic taken with us so only petrol and parking - sister paid for parking.  I must admit its probably the furthest I've walked since the beginning of lockdown and my bones ache lol.
Not much planned for the next few days apart from dropping DD1 off at friends houses.  More job searching, cleaning, and some relaxing in the sun.

Well done you on keeping your pecker up and applying to all those jobs and being so positive about all the food. You're so good. Applying for jobs really does take a toll so well done you for not letting it get you down. Your determination will get you something. I tried going for a new job internally and the interviewers were brutal. They'd already chosen who they wanted before I said hello. Everyone's pushing me to go for something else but I need to be in the hole for a bit. I had to get my first job in the last 'worst crisis of all time' so now rejection triggers me. I'll pick myself back up eventually but it makes more impressed by you. Keep going xxx

Thank you Kitten868.  I think its just a case of knowing I don't have much choice so get on with it.  I am very aware that if i don't find something off my own back the dreaded work coach will be back and she can find me a job, and it wont necessarily be something close, that fits in with the children or something i might enjoy doing.  I think that's the motivation that is keeping me going lol.
I'm sorry you didn't get the job you went for.  Its horrible knowing that they have obviously got someone in mind for the job already - been there a few times.  Keep going, I'm sure the perfect jobs is there for you.
My worst experience was when my manager told me he was leaving and he was saying the boss wanted to speak to me about doing his job.  This story was fed to me for several weeks and i knew i could do the job as i had been helping him the entire time.  I go into the big bosses office and instead of being asked if i would like to interview for the job i was told that we were both being made redundant.  I was devastated as i really loved that job and it was my first redundancy.  Boss had known all along as he had been working out redundancy packages so had been lying to me face, which was probably what made it worse.
My 2nd redundancy was when i was on maternity leave with DS and i hadn't intended on going back anyway so i happily accepted that one and got a bonus payment :)  This time round I had a very strong feeling and had been expecting it for some time so when she called a meeting that everyone had to be at (even those that normally get out of it) I knew something was up so no real surprise.
So today I need to deliver DD1 to friends and collect around lunchtime, I then need to pop to shops for caffeine and then major task of sorting out bedroom to make it work better.  Now i have moved into the smaller double room there is not a great deal of space so thinking if i push bed against wall and move wardrobe it might help.  The only way to see is to try it.

Well i moved my room around and i can now walk to the other side of the room without having to side step past everything.  I have majorly culled my clothes and i think they all fit in my wardrobe.  I will just have to buy new if i ever loose this weight!  It felt strange last night in bed but i slept well.  I do need to train myself to sleep in the middle or the other side of the bed though because getting up in the night was a task trying to get out as i have the wall my normal side lol.
I need to make an appointment at the tip to get rid of all of the clothes and rubbish that ive bagged up.  There was also a lot of Christmas things still hanging around in my room for some reason so they need to go back into the loft.  That will just leave me with craft bits then.  We were glad during lockdown that we had so much as we could do what ever school needed us to do or entertain ourselves really well with a craft project.  Well we still have loads left but no where to put it.  I do however have just about have enough room for a desk should i need one for home working (fingers crossed i get that job).
Today we are meeting another set of friends for a picnic.  Will be lovely apart from the fact its looking like it might rain, although it did this yesterday and it turned out lovely so fingers crossed.

Well we had a lovely time meeting with friends and then it started to drizzle.  We decided on a very quick short walk ending at the ice cream van, but by the time we got there it meant we needed to eat our ice creams in torrential rain.  Everyone else had scattered either to their cars or back home, but we remained and got drenched holding our ice creams sheltering under a tree branch.  Wet but great fun.  We came home and changed into comfy clothes and PJs and watched some films snuggled on the sofa.
Today we are off to see Nana as its been a while.  Not sure if we will do something with her or just visiting her in her house.  While in the town we will also be upgrading the older 2 children's phones as their contracts have ended. DD1 not impressed it will still be a basic one.  Told her next time she will be almost 18 and might be paying for it herself so at that point she can get the latest Iphone if she must.  Also need to find her some school trousers and both girls some basic summer clothes while there.  DS had his clothes a little while ago. Money in pot for such things so not going to worry

Well it has been an expensive day.  Older 2 got their phones - no money handed over and same amount monthly so all good.  Unfortunately as we are all now able to mix with the public the children needed clothes that fit.  DD1 who only wanted to order clothes from one particular website finally gave in and let me buy from an actual shop that we can return things to if not ok.  She decided that the men's section had better things in that the woman's - fine by me as long as they fit and she will actually wear them.  She got some other bits from the ladies section too.  We even managed to find some school trousers that fit and are acceptable for both DD1 and me / the school. DD2 got some summer bits but had difficulty finding t-shirts that were not crop tops.  Managed to find some online a little while ago so ordered those too.  DS who got his summer bits a while ago also seemed to come home with more - not sure how as he has plenty.  No more spending on clothes for a while i hope as the pot is almost empty lol
