Just been to collect our very first Gr3ggs  too good to go bag.  I am so impressed.  We have had the odd C0sta one before but this one has so much in it and for £2.59 is a very nice treat.  I know why they vanish off the app very quickly.  We had a kids ham sandwich, a cheese and ham baguette, a jam donut, sausage and bean bake, vegan sausage roll and a normal sausage roll.  Not sure of the total value but certainly worth what i paid for it.  I have kept the baguette for my lunch tomorrow but the rest has been eaten.  Small argument over who gets the donut - ended up cutting into 3!

Thank you Jessy its be a different kind of year than most.  Waiting to see if i have got an interview, if not its full steam ahead to try and find something else.  A few that i can apply for but would mean i have childcare issues.  At least it would prove that i am willing to look

Just managed another £15 withdrawal from survey site.  Turned into xmas voucher already.  Tomorrows jobs are to check child maint as not sure he has been paying me the correct amount - he had overpaid so they reduced it but think its supposed to have gone back up now.  It is also the review on 3rd June so i might have to adjust things.  However never having been through this before i am not sure how it works and if payments will change that much.
I'm also off to collect my reading glasses (getting old!) and i might still have my meeting with the mortgage lady as tomorrow i was supposed to have appointment, but having put it on pause i am not sure if she will still call???
Other than that its more tidying and keeping figures crossed for job.  Night night all

Floor man is here to fit laminate in the hallway - yay.  Next door who kindly cuts my grass has also picked up a strimmer off Fr33cycle so is strimming away the edges of my lawn.  Busy busy morning here i think.  Still no new on the job unfortunately but still hoping

Another week done.  Possible chance of company being taken over and yesterday we were asked if this were to happen would we be happy to stay - yes I would. Still very early days as yet though so still looking elsewhere just in case nothing comes of it.  Still heard neither way about the job I applied for.  My old estate agent rang for a catch up the other day.  Lots has happened since I was on with them, an they have convinced me to get house valued (Tuesday).  Not sure why really as they couldn't sell it last time and I said I was being made redundant shortly so not putting on the market yet.  Anyway it means I have to get the house looking fairly decent by then.  Makes the kids have to join in and help too.  Made a good start after the floor man left.  Hallway looks bigger for some reason with the new flooring.  I am not very happy with some of the finishing touches he made (one edging bit by the door and radiator pipe covers).  I didn't specify what i wanted as just wanted a cheap and quick fix, but they don't look right.  The floor man had already found some spare boxes of boards at discounted rates.  So I have ordered some wooden pipe covers to replace the white ones, and a door step edge in wood to replace the silver one that stands out so much.  Hopefully it will be a quick replacement of both items and they weren't expensive.   Get paid on 25th and hoping to get the rest of the money in the pot for emergency fund by the end of the month.

Got some lovely bits off olio this morning.  So much food for free and saving it from going in the bin even though its perfectly edible.  Baguettes, potatoes and rocket have been shared with both sets of neighbours as neither are on app.  Still plenty left for us (I was asked to take more as she was over run with stuff rather than asking for more than my fair share).  I have cut the baguettes into portions and put them in the freezer for pizza bases.  I have saved some for tomorrow as we have clubs after school so it needed to be a quick dinner.  Even remembered to get mozzarella out of the freezer for them.  Also got oranges (lunches and snacks for the week), leeks and cauliflower (to go with roast dinner tonight and in the week), peppers (chopped and in freezer), onions, cooking and eating apples (made an apple crumble as its DS's favourite).  Sure there was more but cant think at the moment.  Did wonder if maybe I should do potato and leek soup if weather carries on like this. Also wondering if I can cancel the food order that I placed for Tues before this popped up.
I have received email saying my house ins is due end of may.  I had a look at it and XH is still on the policy.  To remove it both of us have to ring up and ask for his name to be removed.  I'm not speaking to him for that (only if there was a real emergency re the kids would l speak to him) so thinking they will loose my business and I will just look elsewhere.  Did have a quick look on a comparison site and I could save around £10 per month.  I need to compare things and see if everything is in the policy that I need, but looks good so far.

Kids are back and are home with attitude.  Its been a little while since they returned like this.  Give them a few hours and hopefully they will return to my lovely 3 children.
XH step mum went on holiday and has bought them all a huge tub of sweets each - totally over the top and 1 to share would have done.  Last time it was 2 huge sticks of rock each.  They do like to buy their love.  Kids enjoy the treats but are totally not fooled.  I now have to be mean mum and ration them.  Oh the joys of it all.  Looking forward to dinner and bed

Payday so I have transferred the rest of the money I wanted to get my emergency fund up to £2500.  Radiator covers also arrived in the post this morning and are now fitted and already make a big difference to the look of the hall floor.  Cancelled the estate agent as I don't have the energy to get it all sorted for nothing today.  Will ring them when I know what's going on.  Yesterday my boss met with the people who might take over work.  No idea how it went but I guess at least things are being discussed.  Looks like I may still have to apply for my own job, but I think its still very early days as yet.  Wondering if it's rude to email the other company about the application that I put in.  Applications finished this time last week and I haven't heard either way.  I am being impatient as I really would like this one.

Yay its the weekend and even better it is half term.  No school or work for a week or so.  Might treat the kids to takeaway this evening as really tired.  It would mean going to collect it though and my feet hurt lol.
Been waiting on an email from DS school, with an answer on how they are planning of helping him - been trying to get an answer since before going to high school.  He has almost completed 2 years there now.  I was promised an email or phone call today.  Unlikely that's going to happen now.
I heard that i didn't get an interview for the job i liked the sound of, but i did get one for the job i didn't think i would qualify for.  It's not until after half term, which gives me a chance to find everything i need to take with me.  Still got another in the pipeline if this one doesn't amount to anything.  Will try my best and see.  Oh and obviously there is still the possibility that current job will be needed by people thinking of taking over.  I have been told i will still need to apply.  They were going to have a look this evening so we had to make sure the place was looking spotless before we left.
We have a few things planned over the half term but i think its all free or very low cost.  My sister is coming to visit for the first time in ages, so not sure what we are doing with her.  We have money in the holiday fund pot so should be ok, plus just printed out the kids school meal vouchers which will go on next weeks food shop.
