Yay it is the weekend so typically I woke up early and before my alarm. Yesterday I came home at lunch time but then picked up library books I had ordered, filled up with petrol and took DD1 to the shops before going back to collect DD2 from school. I have also managed to clear the kitchen a little and put a load of washing on, although DD1 needed it for going out earlier so it went in the tumble dryer. I am justifying it by saying the sun was out so the solar would have been used and not the paid for elect lol. Hoping to get more loads done and on the line early today. Fingers crossed for a lovely sunny day.

I have my eye test and am ready for them to say I need glasses. At least work are paying for the test if nothing else. I will also be taking back some clothes I liked the look of for work until I tried them on. Oh well money back in my bank. I was just hoping for something with some colour.

Curry tonight and everything is already in the fridge and cupboards for that. I need to write my list for tomorrow though and meal plan as this has worked well for the past few weeks.

Lots of washing has been done. I have also sorted the car and house insurances that are both due this month. Neither renewal quotes were any good so I have gone through a comparrison website and found the best fit for us. With the savings there and with the kids mobile phones that were sorted last weekend, we should be better off very soon.

Not managed to meal plan or write a list as yet, and I need to be heading into town soon, I might just grab a few of the essentials while I'm in Mr A, while I am returning some amazon bits. That way I can do the proper shop tomorrow and have a little more time to compile the list. Need to find my voucher for my eye test too.

Another week done and only a week to go until the half term. Been very busy at work and helping with the exam bits there. DD2 has been given her timetable for her pre mock exams in about a months time. She hasn't felt the need to work out what needs doing or planning when each one is. I feel I am going to be just as involved with her revision as I was with DS! Life is getting really busy so I think a big printed calendar on the back of the door is needed so everyone can see who is doing what until the summer holidays.

DD2 has had work experience this week in a primary school and I think has realised that maybe it is not for her. If that is the case at least we can tick it off the list and move onto the next idea.

As I have been full time this week, I haven't really had much time to spend anything. I also feel like I havent been keeping an eye on it either, which is very unusual and I dont like it. Today when I logged on, I had no idea what balance was in my account. Last night I went out with the girls from work and spent under £10 which included food and entry to the quiz. We came 10th out of 11 but had fun.

Today I need to do a shop as we are out of the very basics. We already have tonights meal planned (homemade pizzas) as well as a few sweety bits that I got on offer while we watch Eurovision. I also need to collect my glasses. No cost hopefully as already paid, but will follow appointment with food shop while I am out I think.

DD1 is off on holiday Wed evening with the BF's family so it will be just the 3 of us for a week. Not sure if I had mentioned she is now done with uni until Sept, but she does have an internship 1 day a week over the summer. She also won an internship with the last project this term so has got her placement sorted for the Christmas holidays. DS will also be done with college in a few weeks time and this week we applied for his student finance so another thing ticked off the list.

Right I had best go write a meal plan and shopping list :)

The horror of applying for student finance. DS & I laugh about it now!

I was very lucky that college walked him through it and told him to apply for the DSA as well as I didnt think he would get it. I have only really had to answer a few of his questions and upload some info. I am also a little worried about this as when DD1 did it there were lots of bits I had to do, and knowing how good his form filling is, it worried me what he has put lol. I guess we will see what happens

Well I have made it to the half term - yay. I could have done with working this afternoon as well to get things finished off but my boss was having none of it and told me to go and enjoy my time off. I guess it can wait until June when we go back.

We don't have an awful lot planned this coming week, but a few bits around the house will hopefully get done. I have been keeping a list of things to do and we will slowly work our way through them.

I am hoping the lovely weather remains so I can have all of the windows open, even though the neighbours have returned. We needed to cut down a tree that hid us from their view as it suddenly for no reason died over the winter (I have my suspicions). Anyway we are a little more open now so we will need to come up with something else.

Washing is in the machine for my first load as soon as I get up in the morning. No doubt I will wake up early as I don't need to be.

Wow it is warm. I know I wanted sunny but maybe if I could ask for a little breeze to go with it that would be perfect lol.

4 loads of washing including my bedding. Tomorrow I think will be the kids bedding and towels if it is still nice. I could probably have done another load but didn't want to risk the bbqs starting before it was dry.

The next 8 weeks are going to be busy and fly by so DD2 and I have written a calendar out for the next half term so that she knows when exams, revision sessions and after school bits and bobs are. We still need to add her musical practice in if there is space, but I think everything else is in there.

We decided to get a too good to go bag this evening from a new bakery. It is rumoured to be like greggs so looking forward to that as there is minimal food in the house at the moment. I am not wanting to do a big shop as we have outdoor cooking on Tuesday and we come home a box of food with a weeks worth of dinner ingredients in it. We can hopefully just do a small top up of bread and milk etc.

Right I had better get moving and put some of these clean clothes away

Another warm one yesterday and today looks likely to be the same. Hardly spent anytime outside so far as I will just burn. Happy plodding inside and hanging washing outside. The house seems to be a haven for flies at the moment, so I am going to see if I can make a DIY fly trap to get rid of them. All food and bins and anything to attract them have gone, and a local fb page has mentioned vast amounts everywhere so possibly a local problem.

DD2 has completed her gym induction so can now start going to that, swimming and a few of the adult classes as she pleases. While I was there I asked about membership for me and it was cheaper for me to get a year than paying monthly. I get a small discount as I'm on benefits, and as DD2 would like me to go swimming with her it works out cheaper I believe. So I am very obese and now have a gym / swimming membership for a year of exercise. I might keep track of the lessons that I do and see if I make the money back. Hopefully I can also loose a few inches and drop some dress sizes too as it is now getting difficult to find my size in regular shops. The money came from my personal spends pot although that is now empty.

DD1 seems to be having a lovely time away but is very pink in patches so I advised perhaps wearing a tshirt today rather than just her bikini as they are off to the water park. We have never done an all inclusive holiday but she is enjoying and making the most of everything.
