Not much going on today.  DD2 has gone off to do a workshop at the local library for the day and will get her lunch free while there.  DD1 has another person coming to see her old car, so fingers crossed she can get that gone today and it is not another time waster.

Other than that nothing is happening here today.  We are a little bored to be honest,  guess I will clean the kitchen and put a load of washing on.

At least the sun is trying to break through the clouds

DD2 sold her car - money in the bank and car off the drive already so very happy with that outcome.

Sorted the kitchen and did a load of washing that needs to be put in the dryer shortly as the black clouds just look to looming to get it dry.

Tonight is spaghetti bolognaise so an easy dinner.  Going to find something on the tv to watch I think

Another fairly relaxed day here.  The sun has been shining and the washing is on the line, windows are open for some fresh air.

Had a call with mum to catch up with everything where they are.  DD2 has been at the library doing her final workshop of the holidays.  I cant believe the holiday has flown by so quickly and we only have the bank holiday weekend to go.  This time next week my Dad should be back home - I really have missed him.  Updated balances in my bank accounts on benefits website.

Still no calls from the estate agent as yet - was secretly hoping for some viewers even if they were only here to be nosey, and then pleasantly surprised.

My solar people contacted me as their programme in the area is coming to an end and asked if we want another battery.  If I knew I was staying I would have jumped at the idea but as I am unsure if we will stay or go I cant justify it. With the extra battery we would be fully covered in any usage through the night and before the sun hits the panels the next day.

Got an email saying that I have won a home library bundle from one of the competitions that I have entered.  It is a bookshelf to go on the wall, a rug and a £50 book voucher.  Not sure what the rug looks like or how big but nice to have won it anyway.  My brother in law is always asking for books for Christmas so that will be him sorted and some left over.

Thank you @dawnybabes, that is what I had hoped to do.  I know our favourite house available currently has a lot of wooden floors, so the rug might become very helpful until I have some money to get carpets.  I have been entering lots of competitions lately so hopefully this will be the first of many prizes.

The plan for today is to relax as only a few more days to go before its back to busy work.  The last term is always hectic - to be honest all terms are hectic in their own way, but we have got a bank holiday I think and the long holiday to aim for so its not too bad.

I have a food shop arriving later but will pop a gammon joint in the slow cooker later and slice it up.  Some can be for dinner and some for the pack ups / freezer.

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Happy Easter to all.  Nothing much happening here and as DD1 is working today, so it just feels like a normal day.  I did have to hide when X-MIL turned up for her Easter egg drop off (1 of 2 visits per year) and DD2 answered the door and didn't invite her in.  Afraid I don't need to see her but I guess that at least she made an effort unlike the rest of his side of the family including XH who cant even be bothered to send a whats app gif.  Guess they will all now know we are moving too as she saw the board.  Anyway enough negativity and brain power on them.

Done a quick clear up and loaded the dishwasher again (DS bought half the kitchen down from his bedroom!).  Had a little clearing of weeds in the garden but mainly pottering around.  Had a quick go at organising the children's bedrooms for the house we are going to have a look at next weekend.  DD2's room would remain the smallest and it would be a challenge but doable - just.

DD2 has also decided she might not want to do one of the choices that she chose.  Said it is probably too late now as they get told in a few weeks.  It is mainly due to the teachers and low probability of getting the one teacher she likes.  Afraid that is how it is in life and if she likes the subject (which she does) to still go for it.  We have learnt from the other two that a lot of what is needed to be taught needs to be done at home anyway, so unless this school is different she will need to study herself and fill in the gaps to get the good grades.  By knowing this she already has an advantage over others.  The main problem I see for DD2 is she is very easily distracted, so we will need to work out how to combat that.

Most of our Easter eggs have been eaten as treats over the holidays rather than waiting until today (first time I have allowed this to happen).  It meant I didn't need to purchase extra treats through the past few weeks.  They will no doubt all be gone in time for us to go back to school.

Tonight we have a family favourite, cheesy mash with sausages and baked beans.  A little wintery but we don't mind.

Didn't sleep well last night so came downstairs, tripped over cat and landed on laptop. Screen now broken. Have managed to print off calendar in the small few inches of screen left working and shut it down. Will take it to the local repair shop ASAP and get them to change the screen. My initial thoughts were ok new laptop, but hoping a screen will be cheaper and can come out of my my spends pot rather than the new laptop which would need to come out of my emergency pot.
Not liking having to do things on my phone but will have to for a little while I guess.
Today's tasks are laptop shop, washing (although weather not great), getting ready for back to school. Also need to have a think about what is for dinner. Thinking spaghetti bolognaise maybe. No band tonight thankfully as I reckon I will need to be in bed early after last night's bad sleep.
