I will certainly let you know.  I am very keen to find SC recipes that they will all eat, so it makes life easier after work when I am more likely to want to pay for takeaway.  I am really keen to introduce some extra meals for DS as he eats the same / versions of the same most days.  His quirks mean he is very focused on textures of food and has his safe foods.  I would like him to try a few more things so he has some variety.

Good luck with getting DS to at least try the jambalaya.  Does he currently eat rice meals?  If he does then it's more likely he'll eat it.

Thank you and yes he will eat flavoured rice and chicken but the peppers and onion I am not sure about,  He is not keen on saucy type meals.  At the moment it looks stodgy but smells ok.

Shower is ready to use (in 24 hrs time) and builders have gone.  Still some niggly bits to finish but is useable

I'd add a bit more stock if it's already looking stodgy - it's not supposed to be too stodgy!

Today we are waiting in for various parcels to arrive, bits for the bathroom and spare wheel.  Not 100% they are arriving as yet but have had notification that the local couriers have them.  Must do job is the grass as it is a jungle now.  As soon as it is acceptable to get the lawn mower out and make noise I must get this done.  I will also be doing the washing as it looks like a lovely drying day.

DD1 has just left for an extra shift at work, and then DD2 is off shortly to help volunteer in the local library.  DS is still asleep but not for much longer as needs to start college work and today will be the day.

I am afraid the SC meal last night was terrible,  it was just mush (not cooked one minute and half hour later mush).  I am not sure if it was me not being able to cook rice - even with a rice maker - or just bad luck.  It smelt nice but was like baby food.  We resorted to something out of the freezer instead.  Tonight is homemade pizzas.

I have started to think of what we need to take to our holiday.  It is self catering so will take quite a bit with us.  I need to make a list.

Thanks for the feedback on the SC jambalaya - not good.  Did wonder about slow cooking rice!  At least I know not to bother now!

It is a shame but at least we know.  Washing on the line, about to start the pizza dough and the grass has been cut.  First delivery has been, but there are 1 maybe 2 others out for delivery as well.

Just had our first shower in the new bathroom,  I feel so clean lol.

Today we are off to an event at the local museum, just DD2 and I , as the other 2 are working.  I was able to get free tickets as we live in the town.  This fact wasn't very well advertised so I am not sure I'd have know unless my friend had mentioned it.  We will go and have a look around and if nothing exciting is going on then we can come home.

We also have a free event tomorrow too at the local park.  There will be lots of free activities that the children can do.  It includes a free lunch as well for those on free school meals (and family) which is lovely and last year the picnic bags included a token for a free Mr whippy ice cream.  Normally we would wait until we were home for an ice lolly out of the freezer so it was a lovely treat being able to say yes when the kids asked for one.

I will need to make sure I have enough sun cream on though as I am still peeling from last weeks outing.  I have a hat arriving today to also help hopefully.

Dinner tonight will be pulled pork burgers.  Will pop that in the SC shortly.  Also because the fridge is now looking quite empty I may pop some jelly in there so we can have a basic trifle for pudding.

Will need to pop the washing on next so I can get that on the line before we go out.  Also need to work out the next meal plan and order the online food shop.

Right must get moving as lots to get done.  Happy Sunday :)

Well we are home for some shade as there wasn't much there that was already taken.  We did a lot of steps (more than my average day) in the few hours that we were there.  DD bought some pretty earrings which were reasonably priced.

Second load of washing is on the line, although I can now smell a BBQ so may end up taking it back in.  Dinner is smelling good already.  Glad it is an easy one to do as I know I will be worn out by tonight.

Went to DIY store and got the door stop for the bathroom as I don't want the door handle hitting the tiles and damaging them.  Hoping builders are coming tomorrow to do the list of niggly bits (need to write a list of the bits that I have noticed).

Next though is the meal plan and shopping list
