Thanks. They look similar to the veg bags I use. I've got baguette bags like that which I use in the motorhome but not thought about using indoors. If DH makes sourdough it seems to keep quite well sitting on the breadboard although he hasn't made any for a while as he's trying to lose a bit of weight as he was piling it on as he couldn't leave the bread alone very long, LOL! So he's on the sliced wholemeal too.Suffolk_lass said:

Wow great bargains, I love picking up bargains like that. Think I might have to start checking out the local supermarkets on an evening once my freezer supplies have been used up.mumtoomany said:Had fish and chips, for OH's birthday tea. £31.20. In the evening had to take DD3 to work, into farm foods for milk, again, bought that and eggs and crisps, spent £4.75. Then went over to morries for stuffing mix, found some great YS bargains. 9 tuna steaks, 6 sausages, 9 packs of bacon, 2 packs of diced lamb, a pack of lamb ribs, and 2 salmon fish cakes, all for £6.91, plus the stuffing mix £1.80. Total now stands at £68.01/£2750. Will need fruit at some point this week and milk again I'm sure. Mumtoomany.Grocery Challenge 2024

I would like to join for January, as I am a long time lurker. My budget for Jan is £200, and is to include all food, cleaning products and alcohol (including any takeaways ordered). I have spent around £60 so far for the month, and have been primarily shopping at my local fruit and veg market, and at L1dl (avoiding MrS, as that is where I easily lose control!).5

I've spent £167.96 how can that even be possible in just 10 days - some of it was coal £20ish and some was cats £25ish and the rest was food and cleaning stuff plus I'm counting take away coffees because it all comes out of the same money. I have £32 to spend until 31st Jan. I can do NSDs until 16th definitely can I do the following weeks on £15 each big pants pulled up and in.Total debt £18,000 at the start of DFW Journey. 2018 14TH JULY 2021 DEBT FREE / 2026 trying to stay debt free6

Went to L*dl today (had to take the kids 😱) and spent £22.39 after using my £5 off voucher for signing up for their plus card and app. Honestly, it was a horrible experience- who designs a supermarket with the wrong number of aisles? Why would they make me finish at the back corner of the shop? Think I’ll be sticking to Ald1 and the local Butcher/F&V shops.Don’t think I’ll need anything else this week apart from cat food and possibly meat but I think the freezer has me well covered there. Total stands at around £59/£200 but will update signature properly!Vicky xGrocery challenge:December 2022 £151.96/£400 . Advent decluttering challenge 47/240.6

@v@VickyV, thank goodness I’m not the only one that thinks this about L1dl, it really bugs me every time I’m in and finish up at the wrong end of the store 🙈😂VickyV said:Went to L*dl today (had to take the kids 😱) and spent £22.39 after using my £5 off voucher for signing up for their plus card and app. Honestly, it was a horrible experience- who designs a supermarket with the wrong number of aisles?
