I love that @Mrs_Cheshire - I bought and froze a fillet tail last time I was in the supermarket that we are going to have tomorrow but a whole fillet is a great idea for my stores.
It probably sounds very indulgent but I expect to cut the last 6cm off the tail to have in a stir-fry on Monday as well as both of us having grilled fillet and steamed veg for Sunday supper. Or maybe Tuesday for the stir fry depending on the weather as a good old chilli is sitting in a used ice-cream carton for another two portions - well padded out with red lentils and plenty of beans it is my spot the (optional) meat chilli I made on Thursday.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'm in completely new territory. No food deliveries so far. I think I might have been addicted. Did a meal plan for the coming week. Walked to Lidl today with rucksack. Never done that before. Did a big-ish shop, (enough to make the rucksack feel heavy-ish) which still only came to £16.78. They didn't have aubergine or celery so I will have to do a top-up shop. Spend for January so far is £23.51.
Grocery challenge November 2022 £8.73/£160.

£29.72 at the farm shop and a supermarket for a few bits I needed to make our meals next week. DH didn’t realise that the receipt also showed the sausage buttie he bought too
Bulk buy of formula for my newborn too which came to £53.94. I buy it online so I can get cashback.
Takes me now to £117.48/£300 but nothing to buy for my newborn now and the hound is also sorted for the month. Just the husband’s snacking/‘treat’ addiction to sort now

Hi everyone. That’s my first spend to log for the month. £54.76/£360 in L1dl today. Used my app scratch card winnings for money off too.I’ve been reading all the posts and thought I’d look into having milk delivered, to save some trips to shops, but we go through three of the largest size each week, so was going to cost more than double, so can’t justify that. One of my downfalls is resorting to takeaway after a busy day or a weekend treat, but made homemade salt & pepper chicken tonight, win win and kids loved it!Quick question and sorry if I’m being thick, but why are supermarket names not written out properly?Grocery Challenge Jan 21 - £86.15/£3608

Hild0,
There are so many rules, that over the years the abbreviations have become the norm - not just supermarkets but other shops as well. Our posts are monitored - you have probably seen the message - so we try not to mention shop names in full - just to be safe, as we can be banned from posting ☹️Hope that helpsBe Kind. Stay Safe.
