Really trying hard to be low spend this week. Just 50p on shopping today - demi baguette for lunch filled with gammon from an al.. joint - cheaper than buying packaged cold meat.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Big shop this week, £80.59 but we have a decent amount of shopping for it, and shouldn't need to go back to supermarket this week.
grocery budget now at £231.25/£300.00 and likely we will go over. However, we're just getting back into the swing if this, so I'm not too concerned.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

£1.20 on some milk today.

The second milk bill has gone out and top-up shop done in Asda as we had run out of tea and yeast - no bread flour in there at the minute, so also bought a reduced Kingsmill, plus YS grapes, mango, stir fry veg and naughty but nice fresh cream eclairs. Because I need cake to cheer myself up after some grim Covid news about my ex that initially hubby was sympathetic about, but then got a bit jel. Yeah, I see why, should have kept it to myself. But poo him.
£3.24 for milk, £12.25 for top up shop.
He's not having the other eclair.
£103.72 in total now.Keep reading books!

A bit of a spendy weekend! Coffee pods and a few other items were on offer in a supermarket I don't normally frequent so took the opportunity to stock up. So currently standing at £81.59 leaving the grand sum of £38.41 for the rest of January! As a newbie to the challenge it has highlighted a few areas I think I can/need to improve on and with the low budget for this month the freezer and cupboards are being well used.8

I've just realised that our Aldi has an odd number of aisles, luckily I usually miss out aisle 4 as it's special buys and health/beauty and cleaning products which I don't buy often so I end up at the tills via the freezers and bread aisle in ours.
Had a 2 spends yesterday bringing my total up to £118.93/£350.
Having a few days of eating out of the freezer and store cupboard, have done a meal plan and should only need milk between now and my next shop a week today.Grocery Challenge 2024

Top-up shops today in L1dl £5.93, Mozzers £6.16 and a local shop £2.65. This should do me until the weekend. Couldn't find an aubergine anywhere for my crispy aubergine dhal recipe. Think it must be Brexit supply chains.
Taking a rucksack with me is absolutely fine it turns out, so no need for the extra expense of a shopping trolley.
Using Monzo app and a spreadsheet to monitor my grocery spend. I'm embarassed at how big it was in the before times.
Tried to add red colour to my signature with and , but it didn't work.Grocery challenge November 2022 £8.73/£160.
