Had an A&C delivery yesterday that came to £11.65.
Mr S shop of £8.54.
OH made another loaf of bread today. He really does enjoy making them, they are cheaper than what he usually buys and we are able to use the oven heat to warm the kitchen/living room so that's a bonus right now.
OH dinner : Okinomiyaki.
My dinner : Tofu and vegetable green Thai curry with rice.

My January spend so far is £208.36/£5,200
This is two M0rrisons deliveries, two top up C0op shops and some medication from the Chemist. I'm worried we'll overspend during lockdown as apparently my children need to eat almost continually !!

goldfinches said:Had to buy emergency rubber gloves today after having a clumsy accident while washing up and discovering that I didn't have another pair in the cupboard and the bathroom ones had gone sticky.
Decided to combine it with this week's shopping run and that if I'm careful I can last out now until Saturday at least.
So two pairs of extra strong gloves, milk, yoghurt, salad veg and reduced veg and fruit came to £12.60 which brings me to a total of £49.69/£124 which is on target if you squint and take tomorrow into account too.
Has anyone got any tips for making the gloves last longer, they were £2.50 a pairand I feel as though they only last about 5 minutes.

DH went to Moz to take advantage of a promotion they have on nappies at the moment and also picked up some YS bits at the same time.8 -
Just over £35 today for an iceland delivery; lots of fruit to cheer me up in this dreary weather. Veg sausage casserole on, making squash soup in a bit, and will run the breadmaker - lots of packet bread mixes to be used up. They are a little more expensive than buying flour but i find a lot less messy.
I have an aubergine satay to make at the weekend. I'm finding cooking from scratch 2 days a week means I always have meals ready, and stay away from takeout. Fingers crossed that holds up as a plan for the year.

£16.98 spent today at the farm shop, on mixed corn for the chickens & bantams plus some milk, bananas & fresh veg for us. There will be more spent in the next few days, between a quick run up to the butchers & the supermarket tomorrow and the market on Friday, but I'm quite pleased with where we are both in the monthly grocery budget and in the sense that planning ahead has meant that I can keep shopping trips to a minimum. Keeping it local does mean I can't run down to L!dls & thus will have to spend more on some items, but so far, so good.Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7

Last weeks main weekly shop has now left £113.65 of our target for the month of £200 spend. One thing that has happened this week is that I am now on part time furlough. Whilst this isn't great news the positive that has come from this is that I don't feel guilty about not sitting in front of my laptop circa 8 hours per day.... So this means that my meal planning is incredibly well organised and I'm enjoying it! So much so, no food purchased for the last 7 days and I think we may be able to stretch this out another week!

I'm on a yearly budget but have to admit to being a hoarder and bulk buyer of bargains so I set myself a challenge of not shopping at all this January. Another incentive to not shopping was Covid and my age.
So far so good, I've not had a delivery of food since the 23rd Dec and certainly I've not been to any shops.
The upside is; my household budget for Jan is looking reasonable so I treated myself to some new bedside lamps and topped up the heating oil.9
