Small spend of £2 on milk since I was last here. I'm hoping to manage without buying anything else until Tuesday morning but might have to get milk again depending on how quickly the kids drink it.

Had the unshakeable urge to buy chocolate when putting petrol in the car yeaterday so picked some up as well as some irn bru xtra (to claim back on Shopmium - handy as I’ve been able to satisfy my fizz cravings for very little/free). £1.60 paid back into the account for something else so net spends for yesterday were 35p. Should recoup £1.15 but will update when it’s there. £67.73/£200 spent so far and nearly at the mid point of the month! I don’t think we’ll need much for a good few days if I’m organised enough to bake bread and defrost meat!Vicky xGrocery challenge:December 2022 £151.96/£400 . Advent decluttering challenge 47/240.10

The cauliflower DH bought from the market last week is so big we had cauliflower cheese last night and will be having some roasted tonight, with at least enough left for an accompaniment to another dinner or a soup...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'm another who meal plans a month at a time but I do it calendar monthly so this month 31 says; next month's a bit easier with only 28 days!

A massive £99.02 spent today, between next week's meat supplies from the butcher (just under £30, and there should be some left to freeze for pie-filling after cooking) and just under £70 at the supermarket. (Which would have been more like £50 at L!dls - sigh.) This included cleaning things like dishwasher tabs that I only need to buy about twice a year; with 4 adults at home but a fair proportion of cast-iron cookware & wooden utensils, we don't tend to run it every day, more like every other day. Hey ho, I should still be able to stick to my budget despite having spent more than I'd like...Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6

Yes I do a menu plan for 28 days as we get paid every 28 days, daybed fore payday i go through the cupboards, fridge and freezers and go from there, thats how I do my menu plan. When we go shopping and we have a over flowing trolly and a small trolley we get some looks. Probably think we are stocking up because of the virus!! Good luck k without food shop and menu plans XMortgage free September 2021. Narrowboat brought October 2021
