1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Snowy Sunday 🙂 but it didn’t last long ☹️ Snowed for about 2 hours - large flakes but not fast enough to overcome the wet ground ☹️ A very fine layer settled in certain spots 🙂 It was also Sloth Sunday 😔 because although I was up & dressed, Earnest did NOT put in an appearance ☹️ he was obviously doing his rounds 🙂
DH’s family are now part of the pandemic as when he spoke to his DSis she told him that her son-in-law has tested positive ☹️ (A little background - DH’s DSis & her daughter live next door to each other each with their respective spouses) Son-in-law is now resident in the main bedroom with en-suite & daughter is placing meals outside the door & she is sleeping in the spare room. DH’s brother-in-law in his 80’s has had his 1st vaccination.
Late decision on dinner - sausages (I love my warming drawer ❤️), mash, baked beans & plum tomatoes.222 - 223 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
224 Kitchen detritus- binned
Thank you to Floss 👏, E.m.m.a_2 👏, wort 👏, greent 👏 for ideas to liven up a bland soup 👏Keep your chin up leelad 🙂 Hope you had a restful sleep last night. You did 🙂 if the sort out of games corner is anything to go by 👏 Your daughter is very lucky - 2 teachers 👏👏Now, now lynnsey30 (wagging finger emoji) Homeschooling is a major feat & you are obviously getting into the swing of things if little miss has stopped moaning 😉 Rant away - expensive recipes in the current climate shows a complete lack of understanding of life 😖 Perhaps a strongly worded communication to the school or alternatively a begging letter 😉🙂😉Pleased at your negative test gilly1964 🙂 I believe rest & keeping up your fluid intake are in order. 🤞 you feel better soon.pamsdish, Hopefully your neighbour will agree to joint custody of the parrot 🤞as she will be so pleased at how happy the parrot is 🙂That is 3 bits of bad luck out of the way nannywindow 👏 The fire, the trip and the bruises & red skin. I think I might call you Herbert 😉 Looking forward to receiving my muffins 🤤Well done Nicnak 👏 One full carrier bag = half a bin bag 😉🙂Will be back later as have no charge on iPad ☹️MrsSD 🏅 ⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 224/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Had a bit of a spurt yesterday! Got DS1 to make a start tidying his pit and helped him clear out 2 big carrier bags full of books! It’s a start!
62: bin bag of paper recycling including cards
63: old play doh set
64-68: ice packs
69: broken plastic box
70: an unidentified storage bag for something 🤷🏼♀️71: ice cube tray
72-73: 2 bags of books (only counting the bags as they aren’t really my clutter)
74: odd glove
I’m chuffed that it’s over 10% of my target done and we’re still in January!Vicky xGrocery challenge:December 2022 £151.96/£400 . Advent decluttering challenge 47/240.10 -

3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Great decluttering & cleaning work skint_chick 👏. Especially selling broken laptop for parts, that should mitigate the cost of a new laptop 🙂🙂
Excellent work bit_by_bit 👏 getting family on board is a bonus, always makes our ‘Decluttering Hobby’ easier 😉😉 Good luck with the sales 🤞
E.m.m.a_2 what a great way to approach your decluttering as a marathon not a sprint 👏You too balabooberlies 👏 Changing of mindset seems to be the way to go 🙂Good work HappyKitties 👏What a lovely compliment D123456789 - I am blushing 😊 Thank you 👏
My self appointed challenge is to cheer you all on to be successful declutterers & to feel proud of your successes & joy in your clutter free homes 🙂 It pleases me no end when a word or an idea resonates & it doesn’t even have to be my words or ideas 😉 😉 We are a family 🙂🙂You have been queen of the kitchen today Gem_gem 👏 Space in the freezer for hm goodies 🥳Great work moneyonmymindsam 👏 maybe you should be known as ruthlesssam 😉 but you would have to let us know where Ruth has gone 🤣tryingtoavoiddebt, If that is what you can do in ‘not a great week’ then I am a monkey’s uncle 😉 I am quite impressed at your flexibility - hopefully moving furniture will generate lots of rubbish rather than recycling or cs items 🤞
Now, now elsien (wagging finger emoji) - stuff has gone out of your home, you have completed some life admin & minor DIY thereby preventing ‘frogs’ from appearing 👏 What more do you want other than winning a million pounds on the Premium Bonds 😉😉You too gettingthrifty (wagging finger emoji) - you are still here aboard the Decluttering Charabanc/s so I know you are keeping clutter out 👏😉Great work EnergyShifter 👏 Really lifted my spirits reading the word ‘joyous’ 🙂🙂
Good work Nicnak 👏 was it suitable for bird food?
Excellent work retiredinfrance 👏 you have been very busy 🙂 The weekend appears to have been a life admin weekend with a great amount of success 👏👏 By the way retiredinfrance, you can keep the empty spaces in the bureau & use them as temporary staging areas for bits & pieces that are awaiting their Forever Homes 😉
Great work TC77 👏 Hope the soup ideas work 🤞Yippee stellata 🥳 cash for clutter 👏
Brilliant work VickyV 👏 Now I know where Earnest went - he visited you & persuaded DS1 to start decluttering 😉MrsSD 🏅 ⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 224/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Save Lives. ⭐️2025 Savings Pot Challenge: As a monthly amount, running total = £299.00

Good morning all, I started going through books yesterday and decluttered some, also some mags - we have an independent chazzer that takes magazines, they take everything, it's a great shop. I only hope it re opens again after lockdown.I'll continue today, I also decluttered a pair of shoes that I haven't worn for ages, and binned some coathangers. DH checked the council recycling rules and it seemed to be the only thing to do with them - most of the cs's won't take them even if they were open.10

WOW I have only ben away for a few days and so much going on.
I was away because my cat walked over my keyboard and managed to disable it !!!!!!!!!!!! Had to take it to tech friend. Mutual arrangement, had done some mending for her a few days before. She can't sew and I can't I T.
Thank you for whoever suggested a cat flap in a window. Doh I had never thought of that. That is a definite possibility.
Nothing to report. It has been so cold I have stayed home and knitted several hats and a blanket for charity. No progress with the cat house for the garden, too cold. Neither have I sorted my bank.

Morning Peeps,
lovely and sunny here, just caught up from a few days with you all. Steady progress going on here (ok maybe slow might be accurate) moved my utilities again due to my previous companies being taken over, been able to leave without penalty so both will be with same provider with cheaper payments. So taking a declutter and another tidy for the savings
Does anyone else get excited about the prospect when an item is coming to and end getting ready to throw it out? or is this just me?? I have my home stores I am still working on from 5 years (and more).
Does bringing home stuff from work to recycle properly count? They were going to throw batteries into the general waste!!
Enjoy the winter sunshine, off to do some more.
