Hi all! Hope everyone is ok! I love tried to read through the thread but there’s just so much, must log on more regularly.
Not had a great week again. I fell off the band wagon completely through the week but today the kitchen is tidy and ironing up to date (it’s taken 2days to catch up ☹️, I can’t let it happen again)
The clearing out this week hasn’t been very focussed but I’ve declutter 8 photo frames out of the corner of my room and onto the walls. The very old couch and two pillows from the garage in the van to go to tip. More odd/holed socks and three pairs of pants from the ironing basket, a broken power ranger, a book bag and a pair of trainers. 208/500
I’d really like to sort through DD’s clothes this week but I’ve so much waiting to go to CS and recycling bins (the one I use is full) so the plan is to move dresser from conservatory to the dining room and reshuffle the furniture/storage from pantry. As everything will need emptied to move I’m hoping to get rid of quite a bit 🤞
Have a good week everyone, stay safe xx10 -
Nothing to see here. Some of the stuff I bagged up previously has now left the building to an animal rescue, but otherwise I’ve just been pothering doing a bit of life admin and minor DIY.Considering I’m not going out other than to walk Gitdog and occasionally meet up for a walk with a socially distanced friend, I have no idea why my weekends seem to fly by to very little effect, because I’ve not really been sat down. Then again, shortening two screws with a hacksaw did take a ridiculous amount of time. The diy cupboard has now been added to the “oh bloody hell, need to do something with this” list. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.14 -

Evening MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well have decluttered this evening the corner of the dining room where all the board games are so we all can see what games (small & large) are available to us as we start our week of self isolation. Daughter's Lego advent calendar (minus the Lego 😄) has gone into paper recycling bin along with a good handful of paper based items. Daughter has a choice tomorrow for home schooling: the supply teacher (i.e me) or the regular home school teacher (my wife who still has no covid symptoms at all, just an occasional cough). Take it one day at a time, cheers 🙂

Thinking of you all, Leelad and Kay and anyone else with troubles and let's hope for sunnier days. Mrs SD, thanks so much for my gold star, I really appreciate your support.
A lot of Life admin at the moment and the bureau was getting to be a real mess with so much paper in different piles that I just had to declutter it.So over the last few days I have cleared to recycling or our compost bin
2 piles paper work
1 pile of cheque book stubs - from long ago
Wait for it- 1 French cheque book with Do not use before 2000 on the front.
1 pile postcards
1 pile letters from friends
1 pile photo from laptop landscapes I need courage to delete family and friends photos.
1 pile general scraps to bin
Now the other stuff
3 uu garden gloves
1 hotel soap
3 balls wool for CS
1 book for CS
1 pyjamas jacket - it tore down the back so off to recycling.
I'm pleased about that in a way as I want to use up stuff and not replace until I really need to. All mse!
So now sorted in their Forever Homes
All family cards
All unused cards
All Christmas stuff
All buttons
All used stamps- it's a craft thing
All unused stamps - found quite a few in the bureau.
I now have three empty pigeon holes in the bureau , all current paper admin in the correct folders, one empty nice big box ready to be a forever home and two drawers half empty.
I have started on the wool stash - see above and the wool is my next port of call.
Stay safe,everyone.
PS
It was Mrs SD who suggested forever homes to keep everything in the one place and it does make life easier as I cut off the buttons from the pyjamas top and put them on a thread, if course, into the button box.
