2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Lunch - DH & I finished the hm soup & DSis had a bacon sandwich. Dinner - DH & DSis ended up having the lo fish pie with peas. The hm ready meal from the freezer was pork medallions in a mushroom Marsala sauce with boiled potatoes & I also had peas. Tonight’s dinners mean that there are no los in the fridge & I have a bit of wiggle room in the kitchen freezer 👏🙂 The hm trifle was delicious - I had used trifle sponges, 2 packets of strawberry jelly as the 1st packet completely soaked into the sponge. The 2nd packet was made up & had my one & only tin of fruit cocktail added. Bird’s custard & whipped up Elml** double cream. I couldn’t be ‘arrised to find the jar of hundreds & thousands 😉😉 A large enough trifle for 2 more nights 🥳
P.S. DSis did washing up & left to drain 👏👏 I dried & put away.
204 Drinks cans - recycled
205 Kitchen detritus - binned
Thanks for that Brackenfield 👏
Lynnsey30 it is not just the rain 😉 - if it is dark & dreary all I want to do is hibernate 😉

Just the one item decluttered today, unless I can count the melancholy that I have made a start on by getting myself out for a run! It was horrible and wet and I was fairly convinced that some essential part of me would give up the ghost, but it’s done. Should get easier now I’ve broken my 2021 duck!

I would love a cat flap. At the moment my only exercise is getting up several times an hour to go and open the door for the cats for them to be disappointed that I have not turned the outside heating up or switched off the rain or snow! They then go and look out of the upstairs windows to see if the weather is better up there! I would have to have a microchip cat flap as they were rescue cats from a cat hoarder and had not been socialised at an early age. Consequently I don't think they would take very well to a collar. I was thinking last night that I don't have a piece of outside wall that doesn't have a kitchen unit or radiator attached. I will have to investigate if I can get a cat flap fitted into a double glazed patio door. I just don't fancy a cat flap in the front door.
Cleaning today. I hate it. The house is tidy which makes it always look better than it is, but I need to clean as it makes me feel better when it's done. I find a million things to do to put it off.
With all this time on my hands I am thinking about changing the furniture in two of the bedrooms. Not new, non of my furniture was new for me. As I have always been mindful of waste and the planets resources I have always recycled and made do and mended. I have always restored or refurbished furniture, used it then sold it on. There are very few things in my house that I am attached to. My husband asked me the other day what I would save if the house was on fire. I thought long and hard and couldn't think of anything. If pushed it would be my engagement ring and a watch I had for my 50th.

Morning, cleaning today well thinking about it thus far. That's an interesting thought vulpix other than the dogs I'm not sure what I'd save. Reminds me to put passport and other important documents into one wallet ready to go if needed, not that I'm planning to set the place on fire anytime soon. 😂
Doing a roast chicken later today I need something homely and hearty.
Back later if I have any declutterering success.

Bala your welcome lets see what happens!
Vulpix - you made me think.many of my cats have done it. Yelled, howled scraped at the door to come in..you open it..and they have to stand for a ridiculous amount of time and have a think about it.🤨9
