Plumber friend of plus ones round and a part plus £20 later has fixed the unfixable machine which has worked all day without fault, so as we plan to move in a few months rather than cancel we have gifted the new machine (well re-routed it via customer service) to my brothers.
I hope it will be nice for them as they are using a laundrette, not that its a great gift but hopefully will see them good being a young family.
I think it's an excellent gift! Often just getting the money together to make that investment is hard, because it gets spent on the launderette. Someone helping out with the first investment, will hopefully make their lives easier from here on out: no more money spent on the launderette, no more time and energy wasted on going there and back.

Afternoon all, Finances shuffled this afternoon.
Just returning some items of plus ones so refunds on their way in due course, I was a bit miffed that he couldn't be bothered to return them but I've done it now. £24 back in the pots.
Went to pound stretcher on way past bank, brought some nice air freshner, bin liners and some coconut macaroons, if only to feel alive 😂.
Counted out 15 items that could be sold.
Usual kitchen rubbish to go out plus recycling. Need to find 2 outs at least today.

moneyonmymindsam you are very thoughtful and kind. What a fab gift when you are in need.
Son and Fiancee have moved their wedding to the end of June in the hope that they will be able to invite close friends. As it was, only close family could attend. Here's hoping with vaccines and time, things will be more relaxed by then. Hotels might be open. It would be a very early start indeed for us to be there, 3 1/2 hour drive away and looking presentable on the day.
Today I emptied my wardrobe completely, hoovered the inside and found stuff I had forgotten about. There are a lot of clothes that are too big but they can stay in there until they can go to a boot sale.Out for charity a puffer coat and a silk top which I have never worn. I did find a cardigan that I knitted for myself and have never worn. I will undo it and use the wool for a baby blanket.

I've managed to list a few outgrown kids clothes items on FB marketplace, have sold 2 out of 5 items. Just need to organise packaging and getting them to the post office now. Will prioritise getting some of the toys listed over the weekend and hope that they are collected promptly to clear some more space.
Going to start being ruthless and we just don't have space in the house for all the clutterGrocery Challenge 2024

Just popping it to say hi. Thankyou Mrs SD for the latest gold star
Much appreciated. I feel that in doing what I have done the next stage won't be so daunting. The amount of clutter has been stopping me as much as what it is.
Thankyou Vulpix. Yup, on a roll. and enjoying it. You aren't doing so badly yourself. 👍

Decluttering one step forward, two back, sold another duvet cover, beautiful dunelm set, 2 shams and a throw cushion aswell as normal cover and 2 pillow cases, the backward step is the parrot,,,,, elderly neighbour sectioned last weekend, dementia, we are hoping all will be well eventually, the pcso who has been involved a few times took his dog in, which left the parrot, conure.
The neighbour who is most involved, my friend re covid jab, is frightened of it, did ask on facebook if anyone can care for it, but, worried it may not come back, which may cause upset to the ill owner, so I have it, asked a few questions on social media, concensus is it`s neglected, no surprise there considering owners mental health problems, so I am trying to crash course parrot care, if it doesn`t start to look better will have to take it to an avian vet.
My dog is thoroughly fed up of its wolf whistle already.
Do I need it or just want it.13
