Well today has been eventful no time to feel sorry for myself at least.
Washing machine leak onto Oak flooring, so need new washing machine. Also have credit card fraud/ unauthorised activity so been trying to sort that out. Broke my reading glasses - not going to lie did attempt to put a plaster on, until I realised I looked like Olive off the buses 🤣 I'm sure people used to do that with glasses or maybe I've dreamed that?!
Hopefully that's all the rotten luck out the way for January 😂
On the positive - parcel posted and out, washing machine £100 off in sale and I decluttered v. old tube emptyish tube of toothpaste.
Only 1 thing out today so will try for 3 tomorrow to keep on track with my 2 a day.
Sorted a few ebay bits so will list those Monday next week.
I went to Mr L and the veg box for £1.50 looked amazing, I have heard of it but never seen one before. I had already paid for and finished my shop so resisted. Groceries came in £2 under budget so happy about that.
Good luck everyone who is decluttering tomorrow.

Not so much decluttering this week - but a lot of using up of toiletries - 2 conditioners, 1 shampoo, shower gel, and toothpaste all finished. Already had spares so nothing came int the house this week at least. Took everything out of food cupboards in kitchen and wiped them down and grouped food into days for my meal plans to use up the hoard. Gathered every book in the house and put them all in my office for decluttering tomorrow, along with every piece of paperwork all round the house. After our walk tomorrow OH and I are going through it all Konmarie style.

Surely things can only get better moneyonmymindsam, that's easily your fair share of bad luck for January, and maybe February and March too.
boultdj - you're brave, treating the boss like that😸
Well done to everyone - the thread moves so fast, I can't remember all the details but amazing work being done despite lockdown and setbacks. Hugs to all in need on this wild, wet, windy evening. x
131-134 magazines and newspapers
135 1 holey sock
136-143 bags of rubbish and recycling
144-151 glass jars and bottles recycled
152-153 parcels posted
154-155 teapot and cushion set aside to take to work on Monday
156-157 plate and bowl in bin
158 plastic cocktail shaker recycled
159 old fitbit bracelet
160 game packaging
161-163 brochures and programmes recycling
164- 184 2 full bags set aside for charity shop (I'm counting them now as the decisions have been made and they are tied up in bags which (and this is very important) will not be opened again no matter what. The bags which enclose the items will probably also be counted when they finally wend their way to a cs.) So - sleeping bag and campmat, 3 drinks bottles, a soft toy, 8 pieces of costume jewellery, 2 purses, keyring, decorative tin, hat, book, bag strap. Phew
See you all again soon, take care 🙏14 -

Last time it happened i was sleeping in spare room as DH felt ill..in the night he called out needing help , i fell.over CS bags that were at end of bed !! I actually fell flat on my face at 0500😫 and cursed my cluttery ways.
This time we got out of the house without falling over junk

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Another Saturday over - dreary, dark & damp ☹️ This time last year the 3 of us were swimming with dolphins 😀 Yet another lazy day watching TV although Earnest did put in a very brief appearance - DH & I made soup from various fridge & freezer los + celeriac, sweet potato, red pepper, chorizo & onion. Bin finally emptied - only 3 days late (due to Covid19 ☹️) Dinner was pork steaks, mash, cabbage & carrots.131 - 133 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
134 Kitchen detritus - binned
Nicnak 🙂 Well done Nicnak - Clutter out, cash in 👏 Prepping is NOT cluttering 🙂
Stay safe leelad 🙂 that was very tough garlic 😉 Working, homeschooling and decluttering 👏 Hope you & your daughter enjoy the clothes decluttering tomorrow 🤞
Well done ScarletRibbons 👏 Take pride in your efforts in the utility room 🙂 tidying IS a form of decluttering as is relocating items to where they belong 😉
pamsdish, helping a friend is far more important than decluttering 👏Great work villagelife 👏
Hope you got the answer your “friend” wanted elsien 😉😉 I hope you saved some stamps for yourself elsien 😉 The chest of drawers sounds great & once done you will have a completed room 🥳👏
Basketcase, I love your reply to elsien 👏🙂😉 It is a fine line between cluttering & prepping 😉😉Your furry obviously hasn’t trained you properly boultdj 😉😉 The trouble with scratches from furries is that they REALLY hurt 🤕Viking_mfw, I hope you are “banking” some of these in case you are struggling later on 😉
Now over half way through the days 👏👏
Great work jenni_fer 👏Floss, you and elsien, pamsdish & basketcase must all have the same “friend” who loves their windscreen wash 😉😉 Well done on the decluttering 👏
Excellent work & perseverance D123456789 👏👏 Maybe just put your DH’s clutter in a box in the kitchen 😈😉🙂 😈
Great work Gem_gem 👏 Don’t be envious 😉 I just got DH to put a shelf up so I could count my toilet rolls 😉😉 just the 50 😱 + there is a pack in the understairs cupboard 😉
Not hoarding just prepping 😂 I will be round later for a slice of your boozy fruit cake 😉 Hope your DH is on the mend 🙂
bit_by_bit, virtual medals & gold stars are definitely the way to go - no clutter, no polishing & no chance of misplacing them 😉😉 Absolutely brilliant work bit_by_bit 👏 one RoD completed = one Gold Star ⭐️, another RoD 3/4 completed & plans set for the final RoD 🤩 When you are finished, can you send some of your energy to the rest of us 😉
Hope DH is OK, gettingthrifty 🤞Thank you for reminding us of a MAJOR benefit of decluttering - Declutter, Stay Safe 😉
Good work EnergyShifter 👏
☹️ moneyonmymindsam - you have certainly had an unlucky day ☹️ You are not dreaming it - white sticky tape round broken glasses was definitely a solution 😉 a very practical one because opticians used to be few & far between ☹️ & getting an appointment was like trying to catch smoke 😉 😂 By the way, surely you should be counting the parcel as your 2nd item 😉 Everything is crossed that the credit card fraud/unauthorised activity is sorted ASAP 🤞
skint_chick you & your OH must have spent all your time in the bathroom 🙃 As the resident nosey parker I am curious as to how many books you have? Good luck with the attack on the paperwork 🤞Good work Barny1979 👏
Great work bellabella 👏 and what a lovely way to dispose of your clutter 😇
Brilliant work Uncluttered_unicorn 👏 A medal 🏅 is on its way in acknowledgement of your decision NOT to open already packed CS bags 👏 I read through your list of contents & read ‘decorative tin hat’ 😂 & really wanted to see it 😉 then re-read ☹️ Oh well better luck next time 😉😉MrsSD 🏅Decluttering Target: 2021 134/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Just going to change the bed and get bedding washed while weather good here, then make a start on base cupboards while prepping my dinner, 4 interested now for bathroom shelves, but still here, I had 2 interested in my Mini wheels yesterday, hopefully going tomorrow, BUT I will not count as gone until they have.
re toilet rolls, first lockdown when the shelves were cleared of everything, I counted my stock 96, considered the black market if it had gone on. ha ha.Do I need it or just want it.11
