Morning all hope everyone's well. Not much done yesterday as went to stare lovingly at new grandchild and his sister through a window you really do forget how small they are
tea out of the freezer today so that's 1 less thing in there. Hopefully going to finish the top I've been crocheting so I'm happy about that, can't wait to wear it (1st thing I've made for myself to wear). Other that that general tidying will be done. Have a good day all

Well done ,everyone. To those of us who are going through difficult times, lots of hugs. Gettingthrifty, hope all is well with your DH.
You know. I can't keep up with all this decluttering - it tired me out just reading the posts. Seriously though. I love reading all these success stories and Mrs SD - you are so encouraging.
Well back to basics here in cold France.
First thinf, I have adopted the first rule of decluttering - don't let the stuff in the house. With that in mind i have realised that I must kick or seriously reduce buying stuff in charity shops. Books are more or less ok since they mostly go back, but pretty ornaments need to stop.
Out
1uu code word book
1 bra to CS
2 jigsaws to CS
7books to CS
3 bottles of manky dry skin stuff from DH who has dry skin - he put them away and opened new bottles on arrival i don't understand this , but never mind they are now in bin.
Now my, sorry, our great triumph!
DH remarked three days ago that the pile of cardboard in the garage had fallen over and would it not be a good idea to put it all out for recycling. So
2 huge bags out for recycling.
Total16= 75+16=91/365.
Not sure if 75 is correct, but out is out.
Keep safe everyone.13 -
Lover_of_Lycra said:I'm a bit tardy to the decluttering party. In 2021 I shall declutter:
- My home office which is an absolute tip at the moment
- The spare room because it has been used as a bit of a dumping ground
- The large cupboard in the utility room which is jam packed

Finally sorted plastics out, everything that doesn`t have a lid, out, all the justin tubs, out, fitted into more easily accessable cupboard, made a fruit loaf yesterday, ate 2 slices warm, sliced the rest, got a plastic bag out, then remembered my new silicon bags, will be checking Amaz0n later for more, they are brilliant 2 of each in varying sizes, think 12 in total, some are gusseted,.
That`s me done for the day as back feels sore, just can`t stand still it is the one thing sets my back off, and still yet to prep dinner.Do I need it or just want it.10 -
Gosh , so much decluttering going on. thrifty - hope your DH is recovering. I do know about tripping over things when in a rush.
Somehow although less stuff some rooms never look tidy!
119 unsubscribed from email newsletters
120 emails deleted but still coming in faster than I can cope with, but replied to a few
121 scrubbed down tiles from plumber repair before christmas, and cleared things out of en suite (in guest room and used by DD1 when she stays and DD2 was warmer) 122- 129 (inc razor, glued up toothpaste, empty bottles, labelled toothbrushes with cleaning only, plumbing bits).
130 shredding
131 filing
Will go for walk, then make soup and hoover. Stay safe x12 -
Thrifty, hope your husband is feeling better 🤞
@TC77 can you unsubscribe from any of the emails? I had to that recently and it means I can keep on top of mine much easier.
Nearly all the Christmas presents are out of the house, just one left to pass on so the living room looks better.
Read a few books that I am planning to redonate to the CS once they reopen, so they will be counted once they have gone - but the intention is there.
Kitty has decluttered some teeth with an operation, and we decluttered some £££, but hopefully she feels much better now. At least I didn't have to bathe her!
It's very inspiring to see what and how much people are decluttering, reminds me to stay on track and make sure more isn't coming in.13 -
GettingThrifty. I hope your DH is getting better and you are ok. {{{Hugs}}} for you both.
Thanks for the ⭐️ Mrs SD. I expect I will run out of energy before it is finished.I really want to get done this next week or so because next days off I want to start work on other things that are more fun like sowing seeds and prepping the allotment for spring. I am not allowing myself off task because otherwise it will be even more time living with the clutter.
I will be back in when I have finished my bedroom.
Mrs SDThanks for your encouragment and support. I do believe you also deserve a shiny Gold Star ⭐️ .... or two ⭐️

I tripped over bottom of quilt about May/June, knew I had injured my little finger, not broken but a possible dislocation, because of how serious the covid19 situation was I felt it was a trivial matter, no A&E, joint still swollen and occasional soreness.Do I need it or just want it.10

Getting Thrifty, hope your husband is on the mend now.xx
Gosh this thread moves fast. I have been awol for a few days with a cold.
Went to the supermarket yesterday and treated myself to some bulbs and some primulas. I always have primulas in my kitchen every year in an old copper fish kettle. Proper reminder that Spring is on the way. It is so cold in my kitchen that they think they are outside and last weeks before I plant them out for a second flush of flowers.
Next week I want to tackle the pallets and make a cat house for the garden. Cant have a cat flap or leave a window open as neighbours cat comes in and beats my cats up. I also want to sort out my online banking. Have been putting that off for about 6 months. I will have no excuse not to do those things now I have told you all.

Decluttered some emails, documents and photos off phone.
Changed all my passwords etc so that's going to be a PITA moving forwards.
Used up - Bath Calm (actually like a milk powder)
Threw away - a foot file tried to use it and it's a load of old crap so have binned it. That's my 2 out for today.
I did not cook as feel stressed by the fraud, microsoft have refused to refund me as its digital goods and the person has used it, even though it was unauthorised so let's hope I have more luck with the credit card provider.
Food wise - I had mash and some ham bits (decluttering the fridge 😂) and plus one is eating cheese toasties and crisps. Roast will keep another day.
Usual kitchen rubbish and recycling to go out later.
Nothing else to report 😀Grocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits
