Hi Declutterbugs,
Slightly better today. Managed to get rid of:
8-9: 2 bin bags of paper recycling that had somehow found their way in to the garage at Christmas.
10: Snakes and ladders game (that had a distinct whiff of cat wee).
So up to date with my decluttering!

I haven't been in for a while. Its just took me half an hour to catch up. Glad I did. All this enthusiasm is very heartening.
Hi to E.m.m.a_2.who sounds just like me a few years ago. Oh I still have clutter and a 'room of doom' or two but I am slowly reeducating myself NOT to buy any more books and allow others to go freely to the CS and sell online. Its just finding the right place for my eco tendencies. DH has been at home more and has pushed me into it a bit as he was getting very grumpy about the mess.
This weekend has been fruitfully spent. Friday I went to the allotment and sorted the second part of the shed. I have some many plastic bottles that 'I might' use that I am overwhelmed. I am bagging some up for the recycling next week but I will have a system in place to store used plastics and the rest will go at the end of the year.
We are replacing our huge dresser in our dining room. I have emptied it of all my beloved blue and white stuff, some of which has a value. the draws and cupboards are all cleared and stuff relocated. Once the new one has come we will put some stuff back but aim to get rid of a drinks cabinet (in its previous life a DVD and video cupboard) and a blanket box that goes with our sofa. It is huge and we use it to sit on only two or three times a year. Very pleased about this. We have already cleared a bookshelf an taken it upstairs allocating all travel books and diaries onto it.
Also I have taken all the items to sell out of my bedroom and put them in the room of doom. I was surrounded by boxes and bags of books and ornaments. All now in one place. Next job is putting the recycled packaging materials in the loft as there is so much I can't move. Besides the christmas decs still need to go up.
I feel a ton better for all of this although nothing has yet left the house.Sorry about the long post

Wow BBB.....
glad of your post. Motivating.
I can report the equivalent of one big black bag. Recycled papers/magazines (ouch) and general rubbish that cannot be recycled. Loads of plastics too.
So 5/104 (I think)

Radiant with success, I thought I'd sort out a door to one of the kitchen units as it was on the huh - that's Norfolk for wonky. (No, I'm not from Norfolk, I just like the phrase.) Unfortunately, I didn't adjust the correct screw, made things worse and decided to remove the entire door till I can enlist someone who knows what they're doing‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Gettingthrifty, I believe it is called ‘Clutter Blindness’ - I read about it years ago. It is rather like making & breaking bad habits - takes a few days to make a bad habit & sometimes months to break it ☹️ However, we are all starting to change our mindsets - it is almost like clutter leaps out at us 😉
Excellent work OWD_nana 👏

Morning, I hope everyone had a nice weekend, I've not been able to catch up on all the posts. I'm decluttering my fridge today, there are things that need to be dealt with and put in the freezer (not technically a declutter but I'm claiming it
) and that's it on that front. Over the weekend I chucked out some boots I use for walking as a muddy field was the final straw for them! Have a good day!
