TC77, notice a theme, 2 pastry bases, so big batch of pastry, then cherry for both sweet treats. The bread is easy, I do no knead fridge bread, so just mix, leave in fridge till needed then just bake.
Pasty and cake on there way Mrs SD.

Evening.
DH got up to use the loo earlier, hes on nights, and asked who had attacked the bathroom. It's good to know my efforts have been noticed. As most of the living room was from cupboards, it looked no different.
Another half hour in the bathroom and the top shelf is now done. It was full of gift sets that had been put up there, some years ago, and got forgotten. They have now been opened and making use of the gaps I had made on the shelfs earlier, in sight to be used. We shouldn't need toiletries for a while. Tomorrow it will be having a good scrub!
102-109 8 large gift set boxes to recycling
110-113 4 body butters (looked like curdled milk)
114 talc, probably from DD3 being a baby, she's now 11
115 hand full of other rubbish
116-120 5 metal tins that came on sanitary towels, gone rusty so recycled

A box of books collected today, having advertised them on our local free site. I think they'll count as two bags as there were over 40 of them. Also collected today, some kids games but I don't think they'd make it up to another bag.

No decluttering today, mended some of plus ones clothes because the easy thread needles arrived. All washing is up to date, last few bits on airer overnight.
Did a small Mr S shop today so will be cooking and meal planning the week tomorrow.
Thinking of cleaning tomorrow too but only thinking about it at this stage 😂 things have been pretty bleak for us of late so I might just do a wipe round and conserve my energy.
Hope everyone is well and staying safe.

Blimey, this thread doesn’t half shift! You all seem so motivated!I need a kick up the back side. I desperately want to get the house back to pre-Christmas tidiness but I’m exhausted and really unmotivated at the minute.Managed to declutter:
5. Spotify premium membership
6. Bottle of maple syrup (empty) that had been shoved to the back of the fridge 🙄
7. Big jug of ham stock that was way beyond salvageable. 🤢
I’m 2 items short but hopefully I’ll have more energy tomorrow to take the bull by the horns (or at least give it a stern look)!

Vicky v , I think it's really hard to be motivated with everything going on, covid, the weather etc. I know I'm struggling at times even though working at home etc.
The minimalist challenge sound v challenging and if you can get a few things out a day and use it to kick start then fab. I find bit by bit and chipping away are making a difference.

Good morning, I decluttered the drawers in our dresser yesterday, all bits of paper - some went to be filed and some into the recycle.Going to declutter some pears into a pear and ginger cake while they're still edible. What is it about pears? They go from rock hard into a sloppy mess overnight !There's also a cooking apple kicking around, I might cook that and combine it with a bag of cooked apple I found in the freezer and make a crumble or something.Happy decluttering everyone, keep at it12
