Mrs S.
It was the lovely Goldfinches that found the info after I put the call out on the charity shop thread. And it's her tin opener !

3) I have at least one thousand books. Sadly not worth much but loved by me. Have decided to let go and sell where I can, donate where I can. Every penny counts.
What I tend to do is check the price on Ziffit (that site is usually the best for me) and see if it is more than I would have sold the book for on faceb00k. If so then it stays in the ziffit pile. If it is a few pence or they don't want it I try and sell through Facebook- often bundles of similar type paperbacks for a few £. Hardbacks and non fiction i list as (say) £1 each or 6 for £5 and put up pictures of whatever I've got. If they don't sell at that price then I reduce it and keep it on there (assuming a ziffut type site doesn't want them) x

Sad to see that go but it's served it's time.Off now to declutter the dust and grime from the upstairs, could be a while it's a devil to pin downBala I hope I'm not speaking out of turn but you must do what you need to get by, the easiest way for you to cope and I think you are coping very well. My Dad, 91, is on the spectrum we think ( it really reared it's head after my Mum died ) and lockdown has made him 10x worse. He's happy to live alone but he needs persuasion and encouragement to even sort out his shopping list for me to do an online shop for him. Trying to get him to throw anything out is extremely hard work and sometimes I have to put things back for another time before he has a meltdownSorry to disrupt the thread.nan
thank you. My nephew was assessed this year and only when reading the extremely comprehensive report did a hundred proverbial pennies drop into place. I have always known that I have a problem with focusing. To the point that when going to the cinema/theatre, the second I sit down I am waiting to go home. A lot more going on but that's the gist. I hope your Dad is coping. You too.

Nanny, reading your post reminded me that I had intended to tidy up my Kindle, if you see what I mean - go through the contents and get rid of some stuff. I tidied a couple of bookcases the other day as well. There are books to go to the chazzer when they re-open.I always seem to have a charity bag on the go, what did we do in the dark ages before we had chazzers. These days I'm far more careful about buying things, both from a financial and do-I -really-need-it point of view.14

Morning MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well have been on a decluttering/tidying mission for the past hour & a half. The drawer that always gets stuffed with bills/letters/stuff through the post has been decluttered. Last time it was done was late Summer I think. All other paperwork not needed from that drawer has been recycled (a couple of trips out to the paper recycling bin) which is bulging at the seams. Add to the paper recycling bin the Christmas cards and last year's calendar. Emptied all the bins so that's that job done. On with washing bed linen and then it's the towels. On top of that, have recycled an empty box of quality street 😄, empty tube of toothpaste, hard plastics (flask) which my daughter doesn't need any more. That's me done for today.
MrsSD - the Yorkshire Parkin was and still is delicious. My wife served me a portion of it with homemade custard made in part from vanilla paste. I'd gone to food heaven 😄
Coping (ish) with lockdown, daughter going well with homeschooling, wife working at weekends , am working during the week. So am using the time at weekends to do bits of decluttering work, but not overdo it. I'm reading this thread every day. Keeps me motivated. Great to see how this thread has gathered momentum so quickly, lots of good decluttering work being done. Bit by bit, we will all get there or to somewhere near where we need to be. Cheers 🙂13 -
1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Saturday is oh so cold 🥶 Woke up at 9:00 a.m., put fluffy dressing gown on & came down for a cup of tea. I am intending to go back to bed shortly after watching an episode of Battlestar Galactica.76 Handful of pamphlets/leaflets recycled
Apologies balabooberlies 😉
Loving the side conversations 👏Always the way gettingthrifty 🤷♀️ cats don’t seem to like coming second to anything 😉
What a great post leelad 👏 Upbeat & heartwarming 🙂 You have been very, very busy already 👏 Homemade custard 😋 I am so jealous - I am one of the B*rds Instant custard brigade 😉 Coping (ish) seems a very appropriate attitude. You must be so proud of your daughter - seems there are many children who are not doing well with homeschooling ☹️Our OS family is coming along nicely 🙂

Morning everyone,
The chair was picked up this morning so another 'bag' to be counted. Think it's 9 now.
Also sold another two items ready to be posted. Got another few things listed too.
Last night made a Chinese inspired dish and used up all veg that was going out.
I got given a full sprout stick that was just past its best so gave it to the rabbits.
I have a skip coming in two weeks and now have a skip pile as well. Two broken chairs, an old sandpit are currently waiting patiently to be added!
Have a lovely day everyone xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x15 -
