Just listed a few small items on e bay, one sold straight away really pleased. I have a full box of clothes to go to charity (I think I can print a free post label and take it to the 7-11 shop) or clothes recycling (if it’s reopened) whichever is easiest!15

OH and I decluttered the dust and vacd the floor properly, inc all pictures!! from sitting room yesterday, top to bottom.... I then cleaned all the brass. Decluttered quite a few of the battery candles as dead and wouldnt work with new batteries. Decluttered more cardbd boxes on local f bk. Bins emptied. I have also decluttered a best friends and my messages on watts app, back from March, about 400, kept as she lives 20 miles away, so havent seen her only twice since them. I have transferred all interesting notes, weather and wildlife sitings into last years diary. I have kept about 30 years worth and its my intention to start with first one and write in a new note book, all important dates and times. Why and when I start this...I have no idea!!🤣🤣 Not started decorating our empty bedroom yet, just cant be a..s.d...... Think we are still a bit depressed about DD ,dog and bunnies moving out..... trying to get a routine but its not working!! I sell books on ziffit and do the same as greent...
Im GF as well as.....sorry cant find post....and make cakes exactly as recipe, just changing flour and adding xanthum gum and sometimes a little extra liquid. Pastry a little more difficult!!17 -

I have managed nothing for days. I'll try to do better at the weekend.
Homeschooling and live lessons meant I was asleep by 10 last night! I'm usually still up at 1am.
I have been reading along though and watching everyone else's fantastic efforts.
I just wanted to post to say I think I know who Earnest is!! I got very excited 😆🤣 but I would like him to visit here this week of I'm right.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Day 8 of the Minimalists challenge. Starting to stretch here.
1+2) pots of marmalade to neighbours
3) unneeded but with plenty of life left handbag to CS bag
4) 2020 work diary recycled (i normally hang onto these for years, for no reason)
5) some extremely elderly and battered Sindy clothes to cloth recycling
6) random wooden pretend chef's knife to fire place
7) random block of wood from dolls house box to fire place
8) a couple of bits of rubbish from dolls house box to bin.
I suspect this box will be a rich vein of possibilities over the next few days.

gettingthrifty said:Im sure there are places that need things other than charity shops so if anyone can help with that.? Ive donated a lot of books to the school library (also board games to their games club) and books to public library in the past. 2 boxes out, usual kitchen rubbish and recycle.
Plus one had a car part fitted so that's a whatjamacallit out of the house well off the kitchen table to be more precise 😂
Treated myself today as had to go to the bank (which now closes at 2pm🙄) so gingerly popped in the poundland type shop. I picked up toilet bleach, a foot pack, collapsing colander and some models own brow makeup.
Oh yes, I passed Greggs and as it was empty I took the opportunity to purchase 2 doughnuts (Crispy Kreme dupes(? ) as fast as I could and get out of town.
No other plans to do anything clutter wise tonight.

Hi bala, I remember that @Miro posted that and vaguely think it was a cancer research link. Wonder of wonders, it was in my favourites Donate to our shops | Yorkshire Cancer Researchbalabooberlies said:Hello
wonder if any of you can help out. In the last lockdown am pretty sure someone mentioned a charity that allowed you to send items in to them. Cannot find the post. Am bleary eyed with lack of sleep
Over on the decluttering thread we are stumped as to where we can take sorted/unwanted clothes etc........
many thanks
bala
Meanwhile this is a link that was on a notice in the window of my local BHF shop last week

Hoorah for the decluttering from me too. I've got as far as deciding that one tin opener can go but haven't actually got it outside the front door yet, watch this space, goldfinches.

Excellent advice gettingthrifty 👏 We are all here to declutter in whatever way, shape & form that we can cope with 🙂. Each one of us has a different attitude to our clutter (shaped by our life experiences) and this thread is here to help us work out our individual decluttering systems 🙂 There is a wealth of practical experience here & the lovely thing is that we are happy to share with each other 👏 Good luck in your new hobby 😉Great work Black_Saturn 👏 Motivation comes & goes but remember, as long as we do something/anything each day we will eventually succeed 🥳

Great decluttering nannywindow 👏 By the way you have NOT disrupted the thread - we are here to help each other 🙂Well done KatyLovesCats - your first shopping trip of the year 8 days in 👏Rant away pamsdish 😉 I was hoping that people would become kinder/less rude in these unusual times ☹️ It happened during the first lockdown but not only Covid19 itself but the constant bungling/lying/dithering of our government + the various bad things that are coming out about Br*xit means that we are being worn down & that translates into anger/rudeness & despair 😭
Good advice for thriftwizard, skint_chick 👏 Brilliant decluttering skint_chick 👏 You have a busy weekend planned, good luck 🤞
