1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
DSis got worse through Friday - severe headache & looked very unwell. DH & I had scrambled eggs on toast, DSis managed a bowl of chicken soup for dinner. Wudupa. Saturday has been mainly dry & not quite so cold. DH did some work in the garden - moved the wormeries to 2 different locations; dug up the sweet potatoes - nothing had happened underground ☹️; pulled up all the carrots - very disappointing as only managed to get 5 & none of them bore any resemblance to a shop bought carrot 😔; cut the chard & pulled up the root base. The only plant left in the large raised bed is a clematis. DH also filled up the bird & squirrel feeders. I finally started writing the Christmas cards 😉 - overseas ones written, addressed & stamped. Have also written, addressed & stamped cards for DH’s side of the family - eating the elephant 😂 Dinner was shop bought breadcrumbed chicken with mash & baked beans. Currently watching The Brokenwood Mysteries, then will wudupa & continue writing cards 😔
2200 - 2202 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging, glass bottles - recycled
2203 - 2206 Kitchen detritus, 2 ruined tea towels, cellophane wrapping - binned
Lovely to see you tiddles 👋 You have been very busy & are very, very close to hitting your target 👏 To spur you on for the final push, I am awarding you the THREE Gold Stars you have earned (3/4 way to target) ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow mothernerd 🤩 you have been busy 👏 What a great idea to jot things down as you think of them & then separate out into individual lists 🏅You are definitely motoring along 🙂 The amount of decluttering you did on Saturday made me tired just reading about it mothernerd 🤩👏 Looked more like 63 than 43 😉
Good work florianatwobob 👏
Sounds like you had a very busy time bit_by_bit 🙂 I think you were probably wise to do all the family visits before Christmas because I really think that Doris will be putting a new lockdown in place quite soon 😔 (only because he keeps saying there won’t be one 😖) Sorry to hear about your brother but pleased to hear that he is on the mend 🙂 Great news that your sister is still attempting to declutter - you are obviously a good influence 👏🙂 What a great use of your free moments - clearing down all your thoughts onto paper & planning out your 2022. I am very excited for you 🙂 Thank you so much for my medal👏 - I have already added it 😉
Great work TC77 👏 Lovely Saturday post TC77 👏 Looks like being a ‘today’ person is working for you 🙂 You sound less stressed & I applaud your rather precise description of ‘Doris’ 👏 Remember all your mini decluttering successes are steps on the way to a fully decluttered home 🙂
Floss, Well done for making the most of having your decorating done 🙂👏
Excellent work villagelife 👏
Lovely to see you out of lurkdom roundtuit 🙂👏 Well done on clearing floor space 👏 & I can see that 2022 will be your year. As I would like to encourage you to pop in once in a while one medal 🏅is coming your way 🙂 and I hope to see you on next year’s thread 🤞

Mrs S D, sorry Dsis is unwell - I hope she improves greatly today.
46 old emails deleted and lots moved into files to be sorted later. Strange how it’s just as satisfying as getting rid of physical clutter.
More papers sorted through yesterday and plan to do more today. Living room needs to be cleared for chimney sweep tomorrow and I don’t want to move the papers into another room this time - fed up with moving things from room to room over the past few years.

I felt awful after my booster jab that I had Wednesday but I woke up today feeling better, although still tired. I managed to have a shower, wash my hair and get dressed which I hadn't managed before! I even have makeup and jewellery on.
I have vacuumed the whole house and mopped the floors, stripped our bed to wash the covers and I am doing some more laundry.
I am looking to declutter more stuff. I have moved a side table and an artificial plant to go. I have added a jumper, a cardigan and three books to the donation bags too.
My husband hasn't even taken the donations bags to the charity shop so they will be going tomorrow, finally! It did give me the chance to keep adding to them.:)
I need to write my xmas cards too and send off my brother's birthday card tomorrow too.2025 GOALS

2286-2298: carriers back to the supermarket = deduction from bill.
2299-2307: items to paper recycling
2308-2314: items to rubbish including a perished hot water bottle and a kitchen scourer swapped out.
2315-2337: items to recycling including more icecream boxes
2338: key returned to former employer, doesn't look as if I'll be going back as she's preparing for retirement.
2339: temp job came to an end so I suppose that's decluttering
2340-2353: data and emails deleted (still more data to go, I've had a bit of a ruthless streak over the last few days)
Hope your sister is in better health Mrs SD.

Local charity shops have signs up saying they’re not accepting any donations at the moment.May tie in with last night’s anxiety dream about moving house with so much stuff. Which, given I’m not moving house any time soon, did seem a bit odd.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.13 -

That would be typical as I have been decluttering like crazy today and have at least 5 bags full now.2025 GOALS

66 items to go to meet target...
Had a lovely trip to the Coast yesterday to visit the Christmas Market in Folkestone - didn't buy anything but it was a really enjoyable day and lifted my spirits (was very grateful we didn't plan to go today given the change in the weather).
1027. Knitted hat for DS
1028 &9 -2 x wool to cousin
1030 - Large crystal to Niece
1031 - broken Jaeger necklace - luckily I had another one exactly the same (I'd found it in a CS bought it to give to someone else - but never found the right person thankfully! - I loved that necklace)
1032 - An hour of replying to personal emails and messages - I have got so bad at staying in touch with people over recent months and I really want this to change !
60 items to meet 2021 target!

Hope DSis feeling better very soon MrsSD.
I have a feeling you may be right about Doris but also got two babies on the way in December so wanted to be available.
Not long to go @EnergyShifter. You will get there I have no doubt.
Very tired today but managed to clear out porch and reorganise. It looks bigger and a bag of rubbish has gone to the bin, ab bag of shoes put by for the refugees and a carrier bag of stuff put by for the CS.
My CS is still taking stuff but one of the sorters has been off this week so we are filling up. Sales are up though so they do need to get the donations out on the shelf.
Also today DD mopped all the floors downstairs after I vacuumed them and we also cleaned up the kitchen. Had a nap and frequent breaks plus DH did a few bits for me like carry stuff upstairs.
While I was away he emptied out our towel cupboard upstairs so I sorted that lot out. Got two sets of guest towels, one spare towel each for him, me and DD. Two put away for the campervan and several for DD when she leaves home. The rest, a bin liner full of old towels for donation to the CS.
I am looking for all of that to go tomorrow.
Tonight I am packing a book I sold and putting it all in my new cleared porch to go tomorrow. After that I am off to bed. I hope I haven't got the lurgy again but will do a Lateral Flow Test
