Mrs SD, those impromptu events are always the best of times.
Accidental if I can be familiar, no you don't talk too much for me, carry on, I love to hear everyone's chat.
A bit of a lost day for me ,woken at 3:30 by cat telling me that there were not the required number of cat biscuits in the bowl. Did sewing of velvet border around the wool blanket until 9am then went to bed again until 1pm. I did defrost the fridge freezer. Put the few frozen bits in a cool bag in the back garden. Went food shopping tonight so stocked up now. I also made a shepherds pie and have frozen 3 portions. Mr V loves it, me not so much. Not a fan of potato.
It seems like we have found a joiner to come to fit a new frame and hang the old door back on the outside loo. He is also fitting a door on the spare room. The door is original but was from next door and put in a skip when they renovated about 8 years ago. It has been biding it's time in the outside loo ever since I asked for it. I will see if I can get it stripped before then.
I have had what i consider to be an amazing idea. I am going to bring a wooden garden bench inside and give it a new coat of paint and keep it inside over Christmas with throws and cushions on it for emergency seating.
Nothing decluttered apart from patience with the velvet on the blanket. Velvet moves!

2110 - small amount of paper declutter
2111 - plastic wallet
V little physical decluttering, and my long list of frogs still long. DD1 had a few crises! Been helping with limited success but will count as 2 as got her refund for item returned and clarification on money issue. 2113
popped in CS - after some fabric (no specific purpose) and spotted arcoroc dinner service which I quite fancy. Couldn't carry so they are keeping to tomorrow and 2 rose pink glasses. Decluttered blue and purple jugs and glasses and have a pink jug so will see it as a pink phase and then hopefully pass on.
2114 moved a few things around and back to their home. Looking at moving my 'office desk' into the dining room for the winter as can't get the proper room sorted for carpet or decide if I want it but do want to be warm! Will hopefully declutter some things in the process.
Love reading how fellow declutterers are getting on, and @accidentalglixch enjoying hearing how you're settling in your new home. Mrs SD intrigued which is your favourite pub in greenwich. In recent times have only been to a few either spacious pubs or those with outdoor areas, the brewery at the old naval college, Enderby House and the old joinery. Have an image of you tipsy in your new skirt, and Mr SD in a slogan t-shirt.7 -

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
DSis was unlucky - her skilful blood test nurse was off, so she has come back looking like a pincushion 😱 I have cleared down a few more programmes from the planner. Dinner was Chinese takeaway - enough for 2 nights - so no cooking for me tomorrow 🥳 Wudupa The vegetable box arrived - 5 small avocados, 8 small potatoes, bunch of beetroot, 4 red peppers, bag of spinach, 8 carrots, one kohlrabi & a very large cabbage. Will write a menu plan to incorporate these vegetables + a shopping list for DH.
2145 - 2150 Kitchen recycling, office recycling, cardboard box, 2 magazines, booklets - recycled
2151 Kitchen detritus - binned
Just pleased you found us accidentalglixch 🙂 Btw, I agree with vulpix it is lovely to hear you chat, that is what friends do 🙂 Hopefully you will not have too many sleepless nights once you are using your new bed 🤞 As to the pantry - better a messy pantry & clear worktops 😉 Don’t forget to spend your tokens/gift cards on a couple of treats rather than just practical items 🙂 Great decluttering 👏 & yes eating a slice of fancy cake does count as decluttering 😉
I agree vulpix - impromptu events are always the best (planned events can sometimes be a bit of a letdown ☹️) Clever cat - you must do better vulpix 😉😉 Well done on the sewing, cooking & finding a joiner 👏 & you found time to defrost the freezer 👏🙂
Great decluttering TC77 👏 What a great idea to move your office - you can stay warm 👏🙂 Drum roll 🥁 🥁 ………… The Coach & Horses in the market. Under new management & apparently now busier than pre-Covid 👏 Good choice of beers, great food, friendly & efficient staff & music at an acceptable volume 👏

Finally got around to the wardrobe declutter. I've been hanging on to stuff I never or rarely wear. I filled two bags for the charity shop and passed on the coat hangers to a friend!
I was going to declutter a 2021 diary that I haven't used. I was given two last Christmas and have only used one. I've decided to wait until January and if I don't get a diary I will change the dates on the 2021 diary and use that. If I do get another one I will use it as a notebook. It's a shame to waste a pretty diary (or is this just my inner hoarder voice?!)
Still getting rid of household stuff on FB marketplace. A bit annoying with time wasters but the extra cash is very welcome!
Happy decluttering everyone!Stashbusting 2019 - 230/3008 -
Currently trying to clear the decks (the ‘ironing’ pile needs to be decluttered especially) ahead of rearranging the house ahead of the carpenter starting on Monday. I shall take it as an opportunity to review the bookshelf that will be moving so the carpenter can do his magic. I’ll then be decluttering some money to him.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

chirpycheap, I am currently using DD2's diary from 2015 as a notebook. My other notebook was an address book of my Dad's, he died 32 years ago! I do have notebooks that I have been given as gifts that are too nice to use! Their time will come when all the scrap paper is used up!
I am pleased with myself for not bringing Hotel toiletries home. We had opened one body wash to use as hand wash. I brought that home and decanted it into our hand wash. I must get all the hotel bars of soap out and make laundry gloop with them.
Lots of laundry on the cards today and trying to finish off some craft things. They are on the other seat of the sofa where I sit. In the hope of me doing a little every time I sit down. I will also bring the box of Christmas things in from the shed and decide their fate. It is also a nice day to sweep leaves.

Just a quick hello as poorly. heavy cold and chest infection.
Good advice @vulpix re carrying phone in the garden or even in the house when alone. In my nursing career I saw many injuried people having fallen feeding the birds, walking the dog or making a cuppa and lay ther for hours as no phone. I like the idea of the bench as temporary seating for Chrimble/winter.
Glad you had a fab day @Mrs_Salad_Dodger. Those moments are so much more precious now.
'Also.... does eating a huge fancy slice of cake that your husband lovingly grabbed for you from their conference just so you were able to enjoy & weren't left out count as decluttering ?' I woyld say so @acc@accidentalglixch

Cleared a load more paperwork last night - very satisfying. Just realised need to delete some old emails next time there is some brain power to spare as still a way off my target for 2021.
Usually itching to get decorations up at this time of the year but just not feeling it atm. Usually love writing my cards and putting little notes in them but again not feeling it. Hope to get in the mood this weekend but to be quite honest, I’d rather be decluttering. Oh dear …

Sorry - I hadn't realised I had been so long MIA. Things have been a bit manic here - but in a good way.I have missed so much - Vascodakarma is now sporting her activewear and boundless enthusiasm and appears to be fully equipped for her planned adventures. Vulpix is going to have a gorgeously painted garden bench available for an indoor entertaining requirements - sounds a great idea for bringing a bit of the outdoors in. Mrs SD has had a very enjoyable day out with her OH
and I loved seeing the pic of the magnificent birthday cake. Wow.
Accidentalglitch -- Great news on moving into your new home. :-)Bitbybit - I hope you are feeling better soon.Sending hugs to all who need them and best wishes.Decluttering has been continuing - have listed some things on freecycle and sorted out 2 binbags of stuff to be taken to the charity shop today - progress is slow but steady.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons10
