Tuesday has been dark, dreary & cold. Dealt with a few frogs - DH helped me renew my 60+ Oyster Card; I phoned bank, paid CC bill (in full 😉) & checked accounts; got DH to send English CC bill to DB in Germany; contacted DH’s niece to try & sort a 60th birthday party for my DH - I have left it a bit late but we might be lucky 🤞 & dealt with my post. Spent the rest of the morning & afternoon nodding off.

Back to cheerleading
Great work Gem-gem 👏 Btw, Keeping up with the day to day recycling etc counts as focussed decluttering 👏 you are stopping new clutter building up 😉
Lovely cheerleading post, vulpix 👏 Great decluttering 👏 & I promise I won’t tell your mum about the ladders 😉😉 I agree that you have to be in the mood to sell, so fingers crossed that the mood will take you next week 🤞Brilliant news about the roofer 🥳 It was definitely an amazing weekend, vulpix 🙂 The gin was definitely ’lush’ & I am not usually a gin drinker but it would have been rude not to try it 😉 Good luck with the frogs 🤞Shame about the paint ☹️ Your cottage sounds delightful & it must be such a pleasure to see it all coming together 🙂😊 Re the under-stairs pantry - did you see Stacey Solomon’ decluttering show & the solution they came up with - sliding storage for shoes & out door clothing. Would be perfect for a holiday let 🙂 Of course you should be excited about getting a new roof & insulation 🥳 I am in awe of your crafting vulpix & the reindeer food packages look great, as does the container 👏
Good work TC77 👏
It was a remarkable cake, GrannyKate. Do you have any photos of your mum’s celebration cakes? I would love to see a couple 🙏 Excellent work dealing with frogs 👏
ruby_eskimo, I still cannot get my head around the skill involved 🤩 especially the lacework 🙂 Great work 👏 Re the items for sale, do you set a time limit & then just donate if not sold?
The cake was made by a friend of the family, Wednesday2000.

vulpix said:Hi,
Bit by bit, I think that you are doing great in your enforced stay at home. I stay at home most days and do next to nothing!Thankyou for your kind words.
Congratulations on the new home @accidentalglixch
Wow @Mrs_Salad_Dodger What a cake; what a weekend. It all sounds fabulous with lots of great memories to carry you through to your next meetup
For me: another bag to the cs today plus two books I sold posted. I cleared the top of the stairs cubby which actually meant clearing my RoD some more to accomodate the contenets. Stuff that is listed online. Reasonably painless plus I emptied three boxes.
I had a fab day yesterday attending DD first graduation, the one for her degree last year. So proud of her. No hand shaking, a 'doffing of the hat' instead. She has a second one on Friday; for her Masters. I am dropping her and her grandparents off then sloping off for a few hours retail therapy until they are ready for picking up.
I still haven't had the PCR test result but three lateral flow tests say I am clear. I can chase it tomorrow but I ahven't stayed in as you can see above. My luck it will be positive when I finally get it.

Lovely post bit_by_bit 👏 Great decluttering 👏 That sounds like an absolutely fabulous day at your DD’s graduation ceremony & all the sweeter for waiting 😊 Very kind of you to let the grandparents attend the 2nd graduation 👏 Very well done to your DD 👏 Must say I am not impressed at how long you have had to wait for your PCR test result 😖 Fingers crossed that the result confirms your lateral flow test results 🤞
Not sure I would have the skill to make a cake like that EnergyShifter 😔 let alone the patience 😉
I am still beaming TC77 😁 Great decluttering work 👏 especially the frogs 👏 Think your number should be 2062 😉

Hi all, 2 frogs dealt with today p!us a trip to the hospital for my diabetic eye test. Also wrapped and posted birthday present and card for my DSis. The queues in the post office were quite long, I know it's getting to the busy season but it was quite ridiculous really, not helped by one of our local post offices being closed down. I also started to do some sorting on the computer, deleted about 100 emails but nowhere near enough, this is a frog that will take a good while to sort out but I will try to do a bit every day from now on.
@Mrs SD that cake is amazing, hope it tasted as good as it looks. I have done a little cake decorating and I really enjoyed it. I looked into doing a further course but what was on offer was either decorating cup cakes which I'm not fond of, ( much too sweet and all icing and very little cake), or a 2 hour evening course that involved baking a cake every week and then decorating it. I just thought by the time the cake was cooked and cool enough to decorate it wasn't going to be enough time to do the sort of decorating I wanted to learn. Plus I know how to make a cake so just seemed a waste of time and money but I will keep looking. The weekend sounds wonderful.
Yes I think some of the problems with builders is the shortage of materials combined with a backlog of jobs due to covid shut down and everyone is trying to get things done after spending more time at home and wanting to make changes etc.
@vulpix , absolutely great news about the roofer., I can really understand your excitement. I think the quote is very reasonable and I agree if someone can't turn up to give a quote it's their loss. I hope it all goes to plan and you can crack on. As you say the domino effect can really knacker things up.
@leelad, nice to see you back
Take care everyone9 -
@elsien, forgot to say I agree with Mrs SD you can never have too many gardening / diy clothes. I can get through a couple of changes a day if I am doing a mucky job, plus this time of the year outside work needs several layers9
