I work in a charity shop . We are accepting donations but do prefer people to ring first and arrange a time to drop stuff off.17

I’d like to join please. I need to do a major declutter, also need to decorate and maybe carpet a couple of rooms on a very small budget. I’ll be using this time to plan and will start posting from January 1st if that’s ok. I also plan to lose weight and get fitter, does that count as decluttering my waistline? 🤔

😡 I lost my post mid typing 😖 Try again 😉
Welcome aboard Luciecat63 - another newbie 👋 I agree that 2020 has been a washout for a lot of us ☹️ I think we just got worn down by all the uncertainty & the changing messages every few days 😖 Reading your post, we could be sisters - flitting from one task to the next & rarely completing anything fully 😉😉. I also agree that 2021 WILL BE BETTER 🥳 I have noted your targets & will try to remind you as we go along 😉
Welcome aboard helensbiggestfan 👋 Targets noted 😉
Nice to see you again GreenQueen 👋 Congratulations on your 2020 decluttering - I am certain you are noticing the difference even if you did stop counting 👏
Your friend sounds interesting pamsdish 🙂
Well done on persuading your DH (= dear/darling husband) to assist you ruby_eskimo 👏
Of course you can come aboard thriftwizard 🙂 the more the merrier 🥳 The Decluttering Charabanc will be a fleet of Charabancs quite soon! You are obviously a dab hand at decluttering as evidenced by your successes so far 👏 Our problem is that Covid19 is putting a rather large crimp in our plans ☹️ especially if they involve physically meeting people. What with that & the uncertainty of Br*x*t, I find that I am floundering around not knowing what to do for the best especially as I am a would be prepper 😱However, 2021 WILL be better, pretty please 😉
Welcome back Wednesday2000 👋 another DH on board 🙂
Thanks for the info annieb64 👏
Welcome aboard stuck2020 👋 We must all remember that decluttering is not just about getting rid of ‘stuff’ 😉 Decorating counts as decluttering ugliness 😉, losing weight & getting fit(ter) counts twice each as decluttering waistline & decluttering potential health problems 🙂 & lastly, planning counts as decluttering the potential to dither aka run around like a headless chicken 😆 😛

I'd like to join too. I need to get the loft cleared out and both sheds. I aim to keep a list of everything I declutter. I also need to lose another stone and a half and clear the junk off my computer. Doesn't sound much but I'm getting lazy so need a reminder to do something every day and I reckon joining you will help. :-)

I can't be doing with counting how many things leave the property. I am rewarded where I a nice space in a cupboard, drawer or on the counter top. I am still following the principles in 'A Slob Comes Clean' and find Dana's methods very sensible and do-able.
Although I had no work coming in (garment alterations and repairs) through the spring and summer, I was spending 10-12 hours a day for a few months helping with the scrubs programme"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I see quite a few of you have a craft stash problem, like me.There is a craft stash thread in the crafting section of the site,it helps me be accountable for finishing things. I never thought to include using up crafting materials in my total items out.I have reached my 2020 target of 365 if I do,yay! I just joined the thread to see how many things I make in a year,as I always have something on the go.
2019 we sold a lot of things on FB.We made £3,500 and had a very nice holiday in Turkey on the proceeds. At the moment we are saving anything we make from sales towards a newer car. We don't have as much to sell these days but have made a couple of hundred pounds in the last couple of months. Today I posted off a German wooden Christmas ornament and a lace bed spread!
I will also definitely join in with weight loss next year. I have plenty to loose.

Hi, could I join you all for next year. I'm trying to find a way to move home that I'm happy with, but I'm driving myself a bit mad thinking about it. I think I need to focus a bit more on the practicalities of decluttering and cleaning so that I can move quickly and easily when (if ) it happens. I live on my own and I'm ashamed to say that I can get a bit lazy about putting stuff away, about cleaning, about washing up even. I just think, well, no-one's going to know if I leave it till tomorrow
My target therefore is to clean something (anything) and to get rid of something (anything) every day in 2021.

I really must join in. Living alone and not having any visitors because of Covid, I haven't been so determined to clear things out. 2021 is going to be "the year".15
