Morning all.
@oceanspirit A master list sounds great. I'm trying to be very methodical with my decluttering, so tackling a room at a time and within there a drawer at a time or a cupboard. Each time I'm moving into a new room, I write out a list of all the areas I need to declutter / check over in that room and then just start working my way through. Good luck.
@Wednesday2000 sending you hugs, it's always so hard when we have to lose a furry member of the family.
@TC77 This weekend was a fluke, I was a little bored and just felt like being ruthless. Especially when it came to the handbags, I had a whole bunch just stuffed in a cupboard that I hadn't used since we moved in almost 5 years ago so it was time to go. Hope your DD1's surgery went well.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger Thank you for the gold star, feeling very accomplished but still need to do more.
Managed to get a couple of things off the list yesterday but no real cleaning or decluttering. Today I will:
- Wipe down sink area in bathroom
- Return Order 1
- Return library book
- Wash and change sheets
- Dust bedroomEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20177 -
Thank you for my gold star Mrs SD. The dress is washed and in the car boot bag as we speak. I can't be bothered trying to sell online and posting. I still need to mend the lose beads on the other dress that I have never worn and try it at the dress agency. I might try the dress I wore for my son's wedding at the agency too. I just don't seem to have any spare time to get onto that. The agency is miles away and wants to see pictures first. As has been noticed I am low tech and doing that is epic!!!!!
Wednesday 2000,I am sorry for your loss.xxxx
Retired in France, I am awed by your move. I considered emigrating when I was younger a couple of times but family ties prevented me. Alsocanada wanted me as a Social Worker but not my then husband. I would have had to guarantee to find a job earning x amount to support him for a certain amount of years and I wanted to try and have a baby. The current and final Mr Vulpix is a home body. Me, I would love to take off, anywhere. That's what I did in my 20's. I have always got itchy feet.
Ocean Spirit. I just love updating a list. It gives me great pleasure to cross stuff off. haha.
3second memory,Thank you for that info,I will write it in one of my notebooks.
Ruby_eskimo you are on a roll, and very organised. I am going through everything room by room again since we moved.
"Toilet " man is coming again today. He couldn't do the toilet as some lead pipe needs a plumbers attention. He is doing stuff like putting pictures, shelves, mirrors, curtain rails up. I think he is also having a crack at a new door frame for the outside loo.
I don't know what to do today, Toilet man likes to talk. My clothes are contained in a washing basket and 2 banana boxes. I might go through them again and see if I really do need it all. Oh I do have a job to do, put some campaign handles on a set of drawers that I bought from FB. I have already chopped it's legs off and it is transformed.

@Wednesday2000 so sorry to hear this. I still desperately miss my old boy after nearly 2 years, they are such an important part of our lives!
@3secondmemory that sounds fantastic - I would say I would do some but I feel like that would be fantasy life with lots of time talking
45-55: yesterday I tackled the spice basket, why did I have 3 jars of cloves when i always leave them out of everything as i don;t like them?
56-57: I also cleared a broken plate and jar which had been put in the utility out of the way but not made it any further as didn't have a box at the time. I purposely hunted down a box and they're now safely in the bin
58: child's stamp kit that didn't really work
DD is better and back at nursery today so hopefully I can continue doing my little sweeps whilst waiting for the coffee to brew. Although it is Clean Sheet Tuesday in our house today (yes I'm a TOMMer and I love it), I also need to do the blankets and sofa cushions which have had my poorly pickle lying all over. Now she's fine, keen to get them cleaned.

Is the historyof art course free ?
If it is............can you share details ?
TC77 ...........thank you
bala
xYou get access to current and archived educational courses. The majority are totally free and some you can pay for an optional certificate at the end.You don’t have to buy any resources and all the course material is online. In fact a lot of the lectures are already on YouTube. There are also introductory courses on open University. I think my original Google was – how can I study art for free
I decided that as I’m going to Europe to visit some art galleries, it wouldn’t do any harm to brush up on European art and the course I’m following is 9 weeks of 2-3hr long video presentations and quizzes. It’s run by Madrid University. Although it’s archived, once you register to borrow the materials, you will get notifications and recommendations for the live webinars which are part of modern COVID Uni-life anyway.
My first webinar is at 9 o’clock this morning. It’s called art history is fun and it’s an introduction and overview.I also had a link for four half hour videos called how to read a painting. I’m rather pleased I’ve got something I can look forward to watching 😃

The admin frogs are still lurking. BG just rang re toilet and pump repairs and are coming next Tuesday. They could have come Thursday but I am away. Printed a report off which was rather long but it will help with some organised culling of online family tree. I realised I am on my last packet of new printer paper. I am still working my way through reusing loads of paper from when I did my master's degree 10 years ago now. I have a pile about 20 inches high of paper used on one side. I need to stop using new paper and use the stash up. There are very few things that need new paper - just the odd letter.

@Wednesday2000 Sorry about your dog - never easy even when we know it is for the best. Hugs.
Walked in park with GCs yesterday - lovely and cool under trees but loads of bites this morning to show for it. Managed to rub my eye with bite ointment on fingers so stinging weepy eye for last couple of hours. Washed it out and starting to ease off now. Taking GCs swimming in a bit - daft when Ive had my hair done this morning.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hi all,
@ruby_eskimo I also have a detailed list and am working through a room at a time. I find it is less overwhelming that way and I get to cross things off more quickly which helps
@Finstickle cloves are supposed to be good for deterring moths and after my recent experience with them I will be using some in my wardrobe along with a few other things. I confess I had to search TOMM and initially I thought this looks good but as I need to start with the bootcamp and every room list starts with declutter I think it will take me longer than a week to get past that stage
but for my long term aim it would work.
Today I have sorted some more wood but not finished as the promised rain finally arrived and I went to my football club to test the new thing on my phone, it worked so I am very happy about that.
Had some of the lo roasted veg for tea and finished the birthday cake so made some room in the fridge.
Feeling a bit better today but very tired
Hugs to all, thanks for your inspiration,
Take care everyone11 -
Morning all, failed a bit on the list yesterday but managed to get 50% done (the returning an order and library book) just not the cleaning bit. Oh well, today is a new day and so far I've:
- Arranged return for trainers that were too big
- Ordered new trainers in smaller size (and managed to get a discount on them this time!)
- Had breakfast
- Tackled work emails
I'd take that as a win. I've also earmarked a few more things for donation / selling over the weekend so have started a new pile at the top of the stairs. After work today I'll be making sure to go for a walk, do some stretches and then anything else is a bonus. Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those that need them.

Very poor show here on the admin frogs. I will be AWOL for a few days as taking smallest DGCs to DD for a few days - we have trips planned. Their teenage cousins will entertain them quite a bit.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
