Lots of balls in the air, so to speak.Things did not go to plan on this, the first day of my 55th year on the planet.I loaded my faithful shopping trolley with two bags of wardrobe thinnings and kitchen paraphernalia to take on the bus to the shopping centre but the bus never turned up so I ended up walking all the way. I’m certainly feeling it now because even something as ridiculously easy as pulling a shopping trolley is more tiring than I realise. Then, the poor staff in Iceland are so short staffed they couldn’t offer home delivery which scuppered my plan somewhat! I’ll have to do another trip now which I was trying to avoid. My Son came up yesterday to take me out for dinner - his first 3 consecutive days off since March - but was messaged constantly to ask if he do do extra shifts. Bristol hospital had a huge influx of Covid patients this weekend so be careful.I got a few bit and pieces but I MUST do a long-term shop to replenish my food cupboards. I was quite shocked at how empty the shelves are becoming in the shops. Also the quality of fruit and vegetables is dire. I only saw two cauliflowers in the entire village and neither of them looked like a healthy option. Waitrose is usually good quality but the poor selection of pre-prepared veg was going soft and juicy in the bags. Waitrose loose carrots are usually crisp and young, bright orange in colour; the ones they had today looked like old ‘wonky’ ones.My best bargains seem to be at McMorrisons - once the local Mcolls, it’s now a small Morrison’s and they are having a terrible time transitioning. I often go in in the evening when it’s quiet and there’s lots of fresh produce reduced to 10p. Not great for families who have to plan meals more rigidly though.I got rid of 2 bedside units, some garden edging, a old sun lounger and 2 loads of cut kindling this afternoon - all free to good homes. My greatest achievement this weekend is my list for tomorrow!!I need to go to the Bank then the Council offices, the Library and the Doctors on the way home. If I get this done (including quite a bit of printing) I’ll be rid of a plague of frogs.Digital decluttering is going well; the paper backlog slowly but, I’m discovering podcasts which keep me distracted. But not too much so 🤪😂😂😂
One treasure that I have found is an online history of art course which starts on Tuesday. I’m going to give it a try - fantasy life 😃😊8 -

Alot of stress as unsure whether to come back early from trip as on the way out found DD1 surgery was this morning at 7am. at 4.30pm she was told it was cancelled, so after being up at 5.30am and no food and in a room on her own waiting she was v upset (and hungry). There was an emergency which you have to be glad you're not but she has to wait to hear when it will be rescheduled!
@balabooberlies ...sending you hugs as so much going on for you, and also for others in need. I've had a quick read through but may have missed things.9 -

I am stiff as a board today. Dug out all the leaf mold from behind the shed. Put as much as I dare in the green bin and filled 3 compost bags for the tip. Also a bag of lumps of concrete, a pile of old roofing felt and several panes of broken glass which were buried.
Yay, the "toilet man is coming today". Exciting times.
later I am hoping to have time to get to the tip and the charity shop with 3 bags of mostly clothes which I have culled from the car boot stock. They are still in good condition but not sparking any interest at the car boot.

Well yesterday I started to look through my under-bed drawers and it ended with 85 clothing items, 40 handbags / accessories and 20 miscellaneous homeware bits in charity donations! Just managed to catch the BHF shop before it closed and they were happy to take everything! I have Friday off work and have earmarked that as the day I will finally tackle the wardrobe and then that should be all the clothes sorted and decluttered...finally!
On the list today I'm going to put the towels on for a wash in a minute and then later on try and just dust, polish and vacuum the living room. That's plenty to achieve today cleaning wise!

Thank you for posting all your clutter stories. Mine has come about after 14 years of living with chronic fatigue and not coping with day to day routines. Last week I tackled my pile of lists and various bit of scrap paper. I now have a more manageable master list divided up into categories. I am hoping this will lessen the feeling of overwhelm and make it easier to work out how to get through it all in a more organised and efficient manner.
Total for the week 68 pieces of paper
Sorry to read of difficult times for some of you. Hugs and looking forward to better times ahead.
