I made a start on my china reducing plan today but no progress on admin frogs. BG did respond to email saying they should be able to get back to me next week.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Friday started off sunny & warm but with a chilly wind from the east. The wind got stronger & colder through the day & it clouded over but no rain. I watered heavily in the morning but the transplanted tomato plants are still looking a bit limp ☹️ Finished knitting the 2nd baby blanket & have started the 3rd one. Dealt with my post. Wrote a medium sized shopping list for DH who went shopping & went into L*dl rather than MrS & finally managed to find Best of Both bread for my DSis 👏 🥳 (none in MrS or As** for the last 3 weeks ☹️) I put everything away - meat split, froze slices of DSis bread. Yippee the Olympics has started 🥳 However very annoyed that neither the Beeb or Eurosport have any coverage of the archery 😖 which I adore watching 🙂 Dinner was salad again & used our last 2 hg radishes (need to plant some more) Wudupa.
1412 - 1416 Kitchen recycling, glass bottle, newspaper, drinks cans, booklet - recycled
1417 - 1418 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binnedbit_by_bit, well done on getting off the ‘superwoman bandwagon’ 👏 It is so stressful & self defeating ☹️ Yippee large item gone & money in the piggy bank 👏balabooberlies, sorry to hear about your dad & your niece. Wishing them both a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 As to ‘seeing things through’ you now know you can do it 👏 You can be very proud of yourself 👏
Nice to see you ruby_eskimo 👋 ‘Chipping away’ is a great way to tackle clutter 🙂 You are doing really well 👏 Desk drawers sorted, books leaving AND sorting clothes - a lot of work & you are probably noticing spaces appearing 🙂 As to the cleaning, you will find a routine to suit you 🙂 The flylady system is quite scary to me 😳 I can see the potential benefits but I am definitely too lazy to ever be a flylady 😉😉Now, now stellata insert wagging finger emoji. Remember every item out is a decluttering win 👏
Great decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Shame on BG making you wait even longer 😡 Good luck with swallowing frogs 🤞I am willing you on, because when you report your successes it might encourage me to start dealing with my frogs 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🥇 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1418/20212021 Savings Pot: £225.90 to end of JulyBe Kind. Hello fellow declutterers, apologies as not much decluttering has ocurred lately except the usual daily stuff.Yesterday the blackcurrant bush had all it's fruit picked, the fruit is now stashed in the freezer. The back lawn has finally had a haircut and boy did it need it, it was fast becoming a field, would have needed a goat if I'd left it much longer. This week the fridge has been emptied by DGS and DGD on Tues, then by Dad on Thurs when they came over for lunch/tea, sadly we hadn't seen any of them in person for 5 weeks as we were isolating but everyone seemed to have a lovely time. Today DGS is coming for a sleepover, so more food will be decluttered, I don't know where he puts it all 😲 As my Nan would say it'd be cheaper to keep his picture on the wall than to feed him. 🤣Only thing out this week is one of our cooling fans, it had to go to the electrical mountain in the sky as one of it's fins snapped, good job they are caged, it was scary to watch, like an out of control helicopter ! Sadly DH can't fix it
but he has kept the motor as that's apparently earmarked for something 🤨 😠
We had lots of rain and loud crashes of thunder last night, so no watering for me today ! It's drying up now but at least it's filled my faux water barrel fountain, the birds/cats will be pleased as it's their daily watering hole. It's cooler and fresher too, I love the sun but not so much heat as I find it hard to breathe at night.Sorry some of you are having a troubled time, I hope things get better soon. In the meantime here's a hug and some love from me 🧡nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
Mrs SD - I can report 2 out of 4 frogs dealt with - the current plan is to do the other 2 in the morning.

1340 Household insurance changed using comparison site - I'm getting brave nowadays. I added a couple of things but still £50 less than quote from existing company. I had to make a claim when I fell on my open dishwasher last November so happy to get any reduction.
1341 Another plate for CS
1342 Some tidying up of online family tree - removed 100 or so unrelated people who were somehow on there
1343 - 1347 Went in loft to look for something I couldn't find but found 4 wedding hats and some fancy gloves I didn't know I had - all to CS
I am going to have a cup of tea now and just potter around. I think I have children Monday and Tuesday so we can go drop things off at CS. I'm taking them away for 5 days on Weds so need to rest up.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

In to reprot two things.
First I worked at teh CS today and didn't buy a thing.
Second: I started on teh front bedroom last night which has become a dumping ground. Did one side. Got stuff packed for the loft, the bin. the charity shops and the refugee centre. Tonight I am going to hit the pile of costumes and sort it into sizes so it is easier to let go.
Have a great evening everyone.

787 - got a quote for double glazing (I've been building up to it for roughly 10 years
)
788 - garden table legs - I have a plan for the table top ...
789 & 790 - 2 x garden chairs painted
Today I have painstakingly dismembered the springs of a double mattress with a bolt cutter. ( It's a long story ....) - it took hours but I have a sense of achievement now most of it is in my wheelie bin
791. Mattress springs dismembered ....

Two more cardboard boxes broken up (well the one that got squashed when I was trying to put the bed base down just needed one extra fold) and a bag of paper into the paper bin. 4 books into the charity shop bag (yesterday I bagged and labelled lots of things for the charity shop and a few that are going back to my house). Books from the recently read pile (and the ones that had fallen behind and between furniture) slotted back into their proper places.
Nearly finished the last bit of digging. Came in because I was getting to the dizzy/ falling over stage.
Mum's cousin came to visit and has suggested simpler ways of tackling three things mum wants doing. he also fixed the bathroom radiator (mum used it to pull herself up) and one of the fixings came out. This involved me getting the bag of diy stuff that was in my room, the bag of diy stuff down the yard on the table, my tool box and finally my 4 drawer holder that has sorted screws etc (all to find specific screwdrivers, longer screw than the original, then one with a wider head, then a different washer to the one in use). She's been told she mustn't do it again and I've put the safety arm down at the side of the toilet to remind her to use that (it's been there since the adapted bathroom was put in five years ago but she's never used it - except for hanging the shower squeegee on).

@mothernerd would your mum's cousin fix up a proper hand rail for your mum to use? It would be safer for her (and the radiator!)2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
