Love coming back to find so many posts.
Calling in to boast of selling another large item, a branch shredder we got when we got married 25 years ago. Still working too.
I got a new to me campervan on Monday so have some admin frogs from that. Mainly the clutch needs sorting and some paperwork needs to be sent to the insurer.
Otherwise another large item is going tomorrow but I won't list it until it is gone. Can't wait.

Vulpix I have also come to the conclusion that I do not need so much stuff. This is what has spurred on my latest decluttering. Reading this thread and Listening to The minimalist has really helped. ( I have been on the decluttering journey for many years).I like the idea of nothing in the loft ( except for suitcases and packing boxes - as we hope to move in the next couple of years). I am adamant that we will only need one removal van. ( DH and I had a van each when we brought two houses together). Thank you, this helped me to set my new target after the last two cupboards. Now I just need to get DH on board.Decluttered some weeds and cleaned the bathroom and downstairs toilet. Spent the rest of the day reading😁2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILYOh dear, didn’t post on Thursday 😔😔😔 which was a dry, blowy day with some sunshine & no rain 👏 DH did the usual Thursday sm trip & I put away as soon as he returned. Knitting, watching Olympics & making dinner were my only contributions 😔 Dinner was sausage, mash, plum tomatoes & baked beans. Even the wudupa was done by DH 👏 The staying up until all hours watching the Olympics is taking its toll 😔😔
Friday is another Wednesday - terrible weather & the wind is horrendous 😬 DH has been busy in the garage. Has returned the repaired bicycle basket & side stand to Mr Grumpy 😉 I have dusted the skirting in the hall & cloakroom & reinforced the tomato plant cage.1441 - 1444 Uu deodorant can, drinks cans, kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging - recycled
1445 - 1448 Kitchen detritus, 2 lots of plastic packaging, garage detritus - binnedMe to balabooberlies - I would love to meet Henry although to be truthful I am a bit afraid of horses ☹️Great work stellata 👏 Lovely to have guests especially if they help you to declutter food 😉 I am lucky that the 3 cs I donate to are all taking donations but prefer to receive them in the morning & I am obviously not managing that due to Olympics watching 😔3secondmemory I hope you can get back to a regular sleeping pattern soon 🤞or have you been sucked into the void that is the Olympic Games 😉😉🙂 Well done on sorting out your paperless paperwork 🙂 & not morbid but sensible. Wheelchair notwithstanding I can picture you in the Himalayas 😉 probably getting high enough up to parascend back down 🤣 Do any of your family know about your solo cruise yet? As to a 2nd cruise you might find you prefer going solo 😉 although a deluxe balcony suite might be very tempting 🙂nannywindow, DSis & I watched the men’s trap shooting - another medal & loved watching the 21 year old Mexican 🙂 Lucky enough to still have our sparrows + goldfinches, parakeets, tits 🙂 & of course the ubiquitous pigeons 😠 Btw well done on getting all your washing done 👏 AND you are tackling the Cupboard of Doom 🥳 excellent decluttering 👏vulpix, the dancing horses bring joy to the soul - no wonder we all like them 🙂 One medal 🏅 coming your way for your new rule of “nothing in the loft” 👏 Please don’t let your employers take advantage of your willingness to work/help out - after all your Car Boot Empire won’t take care of itself 😉 Looks like you are getting very organised 👏 and you have made a momentous breakthrough 🥳 Like balabooberlies I cannot wait to be you 😄 as in the “flinging you” I have the other version down pat 😉
Excellent decluttering 👏 & like Floss, I too love the phrase ‘seaside gift shop window’Gem-gem good luck with the emptying of the loft & getting DH on board🤞My DH is sort of on board but unfortunately DSis just keeps buying more & more stuff - mostly clothes but at least most of it is in her room 😔 Gardening, cleaning & reading sounds like a perfect day 🙂👏Nice to see you villagelife 👋 How dare RL get in the way of decluttering 😉😉 but you have still managed a good amount of decluttering - now into the 800’s 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🥇 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1448/20212021 Savings Pot: £300.90 to end of AugustBe Kind. Evening Peeps,
having to put pen to paper, via the key board just so you know I am still around. Inspired by you all with the decluttering in a good flow out of the doors of homes. Someone had mentioned a small thing which lit a small bulb and I immediately got from my seat and removed a liquid soap from storage and tipped up the nearly used up item into it. Love the smell of seaweed soap. Also picked up a comment from another post of being aware of "saved" clothes that they will be suitable for my age I am now, this will help a little bit more in me parting with some items. I have succeeded with a reduction of footwear when worn out and past their best they are gone.
Sort of managing the admin frogs and paperwork pile is a comfortable size
The "gubbins" drawer gets a weekly removal of small items from Justin.
Will work this next week (am working the weekend) will work on clear flat surfaces 1 being top of the tumble dryer and 2 being in back bedroom where "stuff" is put on top of 2 old living room chairs 1950's. Need to get them down and advertised.
We've got this, keep it up

Just seen my post last night disappeared - either forgot to press post or some other gremlin. Like others I want to be @vulpix and recognise I can do with less, and make such great progress @Gem-gem I think you too, and love the seaside gift shop window image, with my house being more steptoe!
2 things yesterday but can't remember what they were, and water bottle today to DD1 1366 total
Took DD1 to get her phone fixed...for everyone with mobility difficulties I am appalled at the state of the pavements - DD1 using a wheelchair as non weight bearing and it was about a 30 min push each way, having to cross so many times and go in the road as the pavement was inaccessible and she's tiny and a small wheelchair so should be relatively easy. When I fractured my wrists and couldn't open any doors I found- St Michael and partner stacked baskets against the automatic door and I had to wait for people to let me in among other things.
I have a list of 15 admin frogs to do over the week - will think of others but if I get 10 done I will be pleased.
Done a little paper declutter so can see my desk - 1367 to make it easier for the weekend.9 -

Friday continued wet & dreary, chilly & windy but at least no thunder & lightning 😉 DH continued working in the garage. I did a bit of DIY 😉 tightened a kitchen cupboard handle & checked all the others. DSis had a bath. Dinner was mushroom risotto & DH thought it was my best one 🙂😋 DSis & I watched the ladies trampolining - beautiful to watch & yet another medal 🥳 (forgot to mention I paid the milkman about 3.00 a.m., saves him a trip on Saturday 😉)
1449 - 1450 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1451 Kitchen detritus - binned
Great decluttering & sales short_bird 👏 Can I be nosy & ask what you went to see?
Lovely to see you 2Scratters 👋 There have been some great ideas recently & pleased to see that you are incorporating a few into your decluttering routine👏 I really like your cheerleading “We’ve got this, keep it up” - very succinct 🙂👏
Wow bit_by_bit 🤩 selling a large item that still works after 25 years 👏👏 you obviously took care of it 🙂 Hope you get the clutch & paperwork sorted quickly on your new to you campervan 🤞 I can see lots of trips in your future 🔮 especially as you won’t have the aggravation of trying to book a hotel room 🙂
TC77 not too sure about your home being “more Steptoe than seaside gift shop window” 🤣 Well done on starting your paperwork decluttering 👏 As to the appalling state of pavements, I seem to remember reading that councils have more money in their ‘accident claims budget’ than their ‘repair the pavements budget’ 😡 Not sure if that is true or just an urban legend 🙄 Everything crossed that you get your admin frogs dealt with 🤞🤞MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🥇 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1451/20212021 Savings Pot: £300.90 to end of AugustBe Kind.
