1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
Forgot to mention that whilst we were waiting for dinner DH trimmed the front hedge 😉
A lovely bit of fish 😋
1377 - 1378 Kitchen detritus, DH’s manky polo shirt - binned
Excellent decluttering leelad 👏 Sometimes the cursing & grumbling actually help when having to spend so much time on one task 😉 It definitely worked for you as you now have a neat & tidy attic minus the head & neck support thingy 😉👏 Hopefully you don’t have another one 😉😉 One medal 🏅 on its way for your perseverance 👏
As to your daughter’s bedroom that sounds like a major task & has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️ Hopefully the seed you have sown re selling some of her bits & pieces will bloom & the 2 of you can attend a car boot sale 🤞now that life is returning to a semblance of normality 🤞It is very exciting to see the first few potential tomatoes 🙂 - your green fingers are coming along nicely 😉👏
Sorry to hear about your knees 3secondmemory ☹️ & I apologise profusely for laughing out loud at the description of your walking 😔 However you have still managed to keep busy so very well done 👏 That is a huge, huge number of emails to read 😱 Wow, wow, wow 🤩 3secondmemory. Deleting 50 emails at a time 🥳 although you did that 250 times 👏 😥
Excellent work Happy_Kitties 👏 Toothbrushes are handy for cleaning round taps & the plug hole 🙂 You have been eating too much spinach Happy_Kitties, Popeye would be proud 😂
Great work TC77 👏 I am very impressed - dealing with frogs, clothing & persuading DD2 into decluttering one room a week 🏅 I absolutely agree with you TC77- tidying IS decluttering 🙂 Poor DD1, a broken ankle is really not nice ☹️ 😣 but pleased to hear she has someone to take care of her 🙂 The NHS is marvellous 👏🙂 Not good news about a possible operation but better to get it sorted out asap 😔 The sooner it is done, the sooner DD1 will recover 🤞Sending gentle hugs to both you (as the worrier) & DD1. I am also sending you a medal 🏅 for sourcing a wheelchair 👏
Excellent work daisy_1571 👏 especially biting the bullet & getting rid of the trainers 😉 You are really motoring along daisy 👏 reaching 500 has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️ 👏
Great work short_bird 👏 I hope you didn’t abandon the ‘unbecoming underwear’ anywhere too compromising 🤣
Now, now Wednesday2000 insert wagging finger emoji You have a bag for CS and you are presumably dealing with one room at a time so boxing up stuff for other rooms is perfectly acceptable 😉 + it is way easier to open a box & sort it out when you have the time & inclination rather than trying to find bits & pieces scattered all over the house 🙂
Good work EnergyShifter 👏
What a great post elsien 👏🙂 “Tidy is good. We like tidy. Gives you the headspace to tackle it a bit further down the line, instead of looking at the piles, throwing your hands up in horror and closing the door on it again” Well done on replacing your garden tap 👏 & you are not alone in it being at a slight angle - the one DH put in the garage is also at a slight angle 😉
You are welcome GrannyKate 🙂 ‘Out of the mouths of babes’ but it has spurred you on to clear the dining room table 😉 You have been very busy 👏 & I laughed like a drain at DS2’s comment 🤣 Hope you manage to get a dental appointment quickly as toothache is horrid 😣 You really do have the bit between your teeth - busy, busy, busy 👏 GS4’s observation has really struck a cord 🙂😉 Another week, another 3 visits from BG 😉
What a very lovely & generous thing to do Liverpool_Anne 🙂👏 Buying presents for your colleagues 🙂 What a very sensible head - hopefully there will be a lot of others who ignore the gubberment & follow the scientific advice 🤞Also very pleased that you have treated yourself to some nice hand cream & know where it is 😉😉
Nowt so queer as folk, vulpix 🙄 Personally I would leave the idiots on the mountain 😉 - I would be really bad as there is absolutely no excuse for walking anywhere in flip-flops other than on a sandy beach 😖 I do love a list 🙂 but am nowhere near as organised as you vulpix 👏 I think if I was ever to do a car boot sale, I would adopt your approach in wanting everything gone rather than worrying too much about the money 😉 One Gold Star ⭐️ for sailing past your original target 👏 Wise decision to turn around - builders are now rarer than hens’ teeth eek 😱 hopefully he will give you a reasonable quote & do an excellent job. Well done on emptying the car so you could have it valeted 👏 Good news re MrV getting some work - a sign of normality 🙂 That lady is the very definition of a hoarder - made me feel a bit queasy 🤢 just thinking about it ☹️ It also makes me a bit sad wondering about what happened to make her that way 😢
What a very generous person you are - someone is probably very grateful for the liquid food 🙂
Lovely post bit_by_bit 🙂 Well done on resisting the temptation to buy stuff 👏 Sometimes I think that at least 25% of decluttering is stopping items coming into your home 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 🥇 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1378/20212021 Savings Pot: £225.90 to end of JulyBe Kind. I need to chase up this wonder drug today. Nothing is simple. I haven’t been able to access my GP app properly for awhile so I’ll probably get a lot of other jobs done while I avoid tackling that.Don’t overdo things in the heat 😃7 -

Thankyou @mrssd. I am in complete agreement there.
I am awarding you a ⭐️ star and one als for DH ⭐️ for the garage and garden. Very wise to goslow and steady in this heat.
I came back from a long weekend in a caravan yesterday. last night I walked into the spare room and made a decision to get rid of all the dressing up clothes filling the place. Most of these are rescued from throwing out by the CS as they are not int heir original bags. I have offered them as a job lot before on Gumtree but the didn't go. Will try my other local selling groups offering them for free. Will also try my local school before they shut this week.

Thank you for my star Mrs SD. I am organised, yes but lacking the energy and strength for all I want to do. I now know what my Mum means when she says " I can't do what I used to do".
I think it is all catching up with us now. We need a few days with no agenda of jobs.
The lady from my old village has a house in a city where she lived before she retired and then inherited her parents house which is quite a large Victorian villa. A lock up and now a rented house. I have never asked her about why she hoards but she has told me she puts great value on every item no matter what it is. I did know her sister who visited every year as she lived in the States (sadly passed away now) she was unable to stay at the house because of the hoard. The sister was not a hoarder.
It is a dreadful illness. She is paying rent on the house, rent on the lock up. Bills on 2 houses just to store things that are deteriorating all the time. It doesn't make her happy, she is very anxious about it all. She isn't lazy either she is an active, intelligent, articulate ex science teacher.
My builder I have used for 35 years. Not the cheapest but fussy about attention to detail...like me! We will have to use reclaimed York stone for the work as we are in a conservation area. It will cost an absolute fortune.
Do it, bit by bit. I used to leave stuff on my garden wall at the old house for people to take but that does depend on having passers by. You would think nurseries or summer play schemes would want dressing up clothes for the long days of the holidays. Child minders even? I know how you feel, it is such a waste.
The liquid food was collected by a lady who struggles to keep weight on. She usually buys the stuff and says it is expensive so that makes me happy that it isn't wasted.
This is the first day for about a month that I haven't had to leap out of bed and work hard all day. I still need to work hard but have enjoyed a lie in.
