Morning, read posts early this morning and motivated me,
1286 - 1287 damaged flask and part of another
1288 - large sturdy bag broken (not sturdy)
1289 reorganised gifts to one drawer (as not seen people not given gifts
1290 - notebook from DD1 room (i'm going in to take out a few things but hoping she will come round and sort out,
1291 -1292 difficult complaint email sent, and another frog - although noticed I have alot of draft emails and some not sure if I sent a final one so need to sort those at some point!
Went through lots of clothes - and realise I like lots of them, but have been living in the same few clothes, and wonder if I will ever really wear 'work clothes' again. Going to give away clothes in good condition I won't wear and need to remind myself I don't need to buy more.
When DD2 up and about we're doing some sorting - negotiated doing 1 room a week together. I had hoped more, but the realise in most rooms nearly all the clutter is mine!
Stay cool in the heat today x12 -
Afternoon all
Some great suggestions on here as I've caught up on a few pages, well done everyone on progress, suggestions, support and ideas.
440-478 cds and books
479 trainers that I complain about every time I wear them
480 -83 random stuff
Back soon

1034-1040: 7 GB data deleted
1041- 1045: 200 emails deleted or unsubscribed
1046: abandoned unbecoming underwear
1047-1048: bag of rubbish, box of card and paper to bins
1049-1055: carriers to supermarket delivery driver (weird, usually have confirmation of delivery by now...)
1056: additional batch of laundry... pheromone moth traps still attracting the boy moths. (I realise that maybe it's not a good move to put a pheromone trap below an open windowso set up the unused trap in a different part of the room and left the window closed for a few days.)

I have been decluttering the past few days. I have another bag for the charity shop.
I'm not doing too well with the decluttering. I feel like I'm mainly moving things from one part of the house to another but just boxing them up so they look more tidy!10 -

Not a huge amount happening here - one bag to the charity shop and another starting to accumulate. Bag of rags to be recycled. Another one started. A few bits on freegle but no takers yet. Scrap man coming to fetch an old boiler tomorrow.
I’ve bought a new duvet and sheets so now need to convince myself to let the ones go. Which was the point of the new ones but I’m having a “might come in useful” moment. Also bought a couple of kitchen bits so in line with the one in one out rule I need to get rid of something.
Most pleased though that I’ve managed to replace my garden tap, diy numpty that I am. It’s not quite at the angle it should be but it works. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.10 -
Thank you for my star MrsSD.
Well I went to the Swedish shop with DS2 and bought some new furniture for dining room. It took DS2 2 hours to get the old unit (In 2 pieces) out to garage. So heavy we moved it a few feet at a time. Will try to sell it otherwise it will go to BHF. Everything came out of the old unit on to the table (First comment from GS4 aged 6 - but where will we eat our Sunday dinner grandma?) There will be a determined effort to make sure the new unit is filled with only that which is useful (and will be used) or beautiful (at least in my opinion). There are things which I don't use, children don't want and I am sure they won't want them when I shake off this mortal coil. As DS2 succinctly pointed out 'once you are gone - you won't care if we mutter about you throwing great grandma's tacky ornaments away'. Delivery didn't arrive until late this afternoon so DS2 managed to put 80% together with much swearing. House strewn with packaging instructions and those screws which are always left over. It was very hot. I took GD4 to a party and collected her. I took GS4 to the park but it was too hot for him. I did a quick meal and baths so they went home ready for bed. They still have another week of school. DD's children have already finished and they are in Cornwall where it looks glorious. First cull of stuff on dining room table;
1277 Oddments and tat to bin
1278-1279 2 nice tumblers and a set of glass sundae dishes to DS2
1280 Odd glass to CS bag
1281 Glass kitchen mats to CS
1282 Cooking ingredients given to DS2
1283 Pastry fork set - never used to CS
1284 Glass ornaments of MIL's to CS
1285 Set of sherry glasses (MILs) to CS
1286 Set of liquor glasses (MILs) to CS
1287 Set of 12 table mats to DIL - I have another 12!
1288 Manky drawer liners binned
1289 Set of wine glasses (MILs) to CS
Tomorrow there will be stuff to tip for recycling and I will look seriously at my table linen. I will drop stuff off at charity shop as well.
I decided to rejoin the nearby health club - on edge of village where I live. Not cheap but I do like swimming and I can take grandchildren through summer holidays for a small cost. Toothache today - I had some temporary work done and I was supposed to go back this month but hadn't made the appointment so I will do so tomorrow. Will see if I hear anything from my friends at BG this week.

@Wednesday2000 and @elsien tidying is decluttering as part of my problem is not putting things away and tidying can make life easier. I've put lots of diy small bits in a shoe box (in little see through bags) rather than different containers - ones I am unlikely to ever use but need justin!
Had a flurry of activity
1293 hockey stick collected
1294 - 1295 painted more mini drawers and bankers boxes
1296 old grout pen
1297 brought DIY things together, in clear plastic bags and in shoebox as easier to store than many small open folders (looking tidier is good)
1298 little in garden - rose tree has black spots so will have to read up about that - think need a spray.
1299 old video remote
1300 papers from DD1 room
1301 piano music
1302 email/admin tasks
1303 room I use as a study is much tidier (2 boxes that need to go somewhere as brought back from office)
A few things posted for sale/free so hoping things may go. No luck with F/bay.
DD1 has broken her ankle - part of the motivation for making home safer - as most accidents happen at home, although hers wasn't at home and hoping no other injuries....luckily the hospital let her boyfriend see her and will go home and look after her. With the heat and everything going on really feel for all those in emergency services and NHS.
Also realised on a bad day would have to hunt for car and house keys and the right things to take in an emergency so has focused my mind!
Hope everyone is staying safe and well and hugs to those who need it x

Hi All,
I have decluttered money from my purse both yesterday and today on end of term presents for the staff. Racked my brains for a while but finally think I have covered everyone ranging from special presents for those I work closely with to bags of chocs for the 3 staff rooms we are currently working with thanks to covid. I wouldn't usually buy so much but as I am retiring I wanted to include everyone, especially as I won't be able to say goodbye to everyone in person, again thanks to covid. I know the gubberment are changing the rules tomorrow but our head, wisely imo, has said no change on our h&s covid rules until at least Sept. Things that need to be wrapped are wrapped and they will all go into school with me tomorrow to be quarantined until Wed. Annoyingly I need a bottle bag as all I have are Christmas bags so I will get that tomorrow. Small food shop also done for school as we are finally having our class bbq on Tue, and a small essentials shop for home. All put away.
I got some rather nice hand cream and as a result came home with 3 samples of face cream. It is now in my little make up bag with my other sorted samples and will be used up as I know where it is
Sorted 2 inches of paperwork from the lr while watching the marigold hotel and harry potter with the fan on, too hot to do anything else. Lots of paper recycled. Ironed clothes for work tomorrow, too hot to do more and I really don't like ironing at the best of times
Off to bed now
Take care everyone9
