Not getting rid of much physical clutter, but hoping that will change, put a few things on free sites and flea bay.I am really going for it. I have been listening to the minimalists podcasts.Have just gone up into the loft and recycled books from primary /secondary school plus assignments for my degree. Have only kept a copy of the final dissertation.Off to do some more...2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Trying to work up enthusiasm for cleaning but think I'll leave it until tomorrow and then I have paperwork to do for next week. I have spent some money on 'me' things and I got some samples of tiles and flooring for bathroom. One of the things I have taken out of lock down is to have a clear understanding of my finances and I understand exactly what I have been spending money on and where I can save. Feel very much in control now and have everything planned out for year ahead (subject of course to fate). I think I have ceased feeling guilty for spending money on things I like for the first time in decades. I do of course ensure that something leaves when new things arrive.
1238 Decluttered plumber no 6 from BG. Very nice chap to look at hot water system - thermostat was fine but there was a jammed valve which was causing the overheating of the water. JD4* and some special oil and it was fixed. Still awaiting next plumber to look at toilet.
1239 Quiz questions used and recycled
1240 Really grotty job as my general waste bin stank and was not due to be emptied until Thursday next week. We don't have food waste collections although I compost what I can. Not surprised to find bin full of maggots (ugh) on last week's chicken carcas. Emptied all out and double wrapped in black plastic. Bin needs a thorough clean so I will get DS2 to bring power washer (back as it is mine!). Quick 5 minutes trip to local tip with car windows open to get rid of the bagged rubbish.
1241-1242 New small backpack and handbag purchased - 2 others to charity bag - they are both ones I like but neither is waterproof and trips out using them have been problematic.
1243 Heavy duty griddle pan purchased at TKM** - I had a non stick one which stuck and did not clean well. Spotted a nice enamelled one so I now have that instead. I did by another dish but haven't decided what can leave in its place yet.

3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Sincere apologies for not posting yesterday ☹️😔 Thursday was a dry day but overcast. Full fried breakfast for DH with toast, coffee & Orange juice. I had bacon, fried egg & mushroom + a round of toast with marmalade + coffee & orange juice. Packed the bike but had to wait to pay as several other guests were leaving at the same time & we were not in a hurry. Apparently the landlady is fully booked until September 🙂 I am so pleased for her 😁 We had one landmark to find - a Lightning at one of the many historical airbases in Lincolnshire then headed home. One stop for petrol + comfort break. Weather got better & better as we approached London - clouds cleared & got warmer. Home by 3 p.m.
DSis had hoovered, watered the garden when necessary, done her washing & even eaten a portion of cottage pie from the freezer 👏🙂 The rest of the time she watched 5 weeks worth of Eastenders & Coronation Street that DH had downloaded onto a stick. DSis is not a lover of heat ☹️Unpacked the bike & most things put away but have washing to do on Friday. DSis had no dinner planned so I took out some sausages (DH had picked them up from a farm store on one of his previous trips) from freezer. Mash, plum tomatoes & baked beans. The sausages were delicious 😋 Wudupa.
Friday is a gloriously sunny & warm day. DH was up & at ‘em & has been busy. He has washed & disinfected all the bird feeders. Dried & filled. Changed both the headlight bulbs on the Goldwing (both blew on our trip 😖) having picked them up from the shop this a.m. What a saga that was - he had done a click & collect order yesterday. DH turned up - no Covid safety rules being obeyed - no masks, double the people in the shop so no distancing & then the chap insisted DH had picked up the order last night - I would have been punching people 😉 Took 20 minutes & then another lad ‘found’ them under the counter 🤔 You couldn’t make it up. DH is now doing our weekly sm shop & has just phoned to say that he is having great trouble in MrS as they have completely changed the layout & he cannot find anything as of course the signage has NOT been changed. I also imagine that there were no staff available to ask where things had been moved to 😡
My total of useful things I have done is a 5 day menu plan so I could write the shopping list 😉 Salmon fillets taken out of the freezer for tonight’s dinner. Currently watching The Great Escape as I haven’t seen it this year 🤣
1301 - 1303 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle - recycled

This afternoon... Walked round trip of 5 miles...Decluttered £2 coins into my bank account 😀 plus £10 Sainsbury's voucher that hubby received for completing a govt survey. Then back into the garden picking blackcurrant, redcurrants, blueberries and gooseberries. ( sort of decluttering the bushes).
To give back to mother:
2 x beach pads to lay on
1 x beach umbrella
(that has made up lots of room in one of my cupboards)
to give to mother
another 5lbs of gooseberries. My hands and arms are feeling the wrath of the gooseberry bush 🤬
new potatoes from the garden
gluten free cake from freezer
recycled:
envelopes
plastic tray
garden bin:
weeds and potato tops / beetroot tops
(Pulled up beetroot boiled it, skinned it and froze some. Enjoyed the rest with our dinner - homemade pizza).Have now had all the potatoes from the first container. Still two more containers of potatoes 🙂
Tomorrow, off to have hair cut. Must be strong and not come home from mothers with loads of her clutter.Have a good day everyone.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Lots of stress with £kea and their delivery partner. Ending up paying twice for delivery, told id get a refund and then haven't. Another of lifes frustrations but minor in scheme of things!9 -
Yes, I know, what time do I call this??
949-955: 7GB data deleted
955-958: 200 emails deleted or unsubscribed
959: another bag of assorted rubbish ready to go
960: notebook sorted out, info consolidated and paper to recycling
961: computer issues sorted out
962: another cereal box filled with paper and card recycling to go next time I head downstairs
Oddly enough, I also watched the Great Escape as I've never (knowingly) seen it all the way through!
Thanks for the advice on the lavender, unfortunately, it makes me sneeze: it's a high pollen warning for the next couple of days so be careful all.

1305 - 1307 Kitchen recycling, large plastic bottle, drinks cans - recycled1308 - 1309 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binnedI have avoided all the football 3secondmemory 😉 Much as I should probably support England in the final, my heart is with Italy 🙂 What a nightmare - I really dislike ivy & try to hack it out whenever I see it. You seem to have a rubbish landlord & neighbours ☹️ Here is hoping that a six foot fence is in your future 🤞as you have been so busy in the garden 👏Great decluttering D123456789 👏 I have a G-plan extending table that is at least 25 years old 🙂 It lived in France for a while but is now back with me as I always loved it 😊Wow Gem-gem 🤩 you have been busy 👏 You are definitely on a roll 👏 A 5 mile walk 😱 but if you have the energy why not 😉 Lots of harvesting from your garden 👏 I take it your mother loves gooseberries 😉Great work TC77 👏 Physical decluttering is nice, but decluttering potentially stressful tasks is a great relief 😮💨 and usually very therapeutic 🙂 Enjoy your weekends away TC77 you have earned them 🙂 Yah boo I*ea ☹️ - a frustration you can do without, however minor. Please remember to chase your refund 😉I fell off my sofa mothernerd 🤣 at the mention of ‘stealth decluttering’ However whatever works gets a big tick in my book 👏 I might have to take a leaf out of your mum’s book but I think my DSis would object very strenuously to my appropriating her ‘stuff’ 😉😉 What a great idea mothernerd 👏 adding personal grooming tasks to your To Do list 🙂 Giving yourself a bit of TLC definitely deserves a medal 🏅Well said Floss 👏Hope you waved at any passing motorcyclist GrannyKate 😉 Very proud of you for keeping your purse closed 👏🙂 Good luck with BG engineer number 6 🤞 A medal 🏅 is on its way GrannyKate for using Lockdown to understand & sort your finances. Being in control of any aspect of our lives is such a morale boost - it lifts our spirits and seems to make other aspects easier to deal with 🤞 You also seem to be doing very well with the ‘one in, one out’ method 👏
Great work short_bird 👏 and very sorry but I had to laugh at the ‘Great Moth Massacre of 2021’ I can appreciate you getting disheartened but hopefully all the hard work in disposing of moths will work wonders 🤞
Did you get up early or go to bed late, short_bird? The thing is when the mood takes you it is easy to get caught up in decluttering 😉Excellent work Happy_Kitties 👏 I hope you took a photo of the cat & balloons 😉
Well done bit_by_bit 👏 I wouldn’t worry too much about stalling on indoor decluttering as you are so busy sorting out your gardens 🙂 Indoor decluttering can wait for bad weather days 😉
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that your energy levels are draining away so quickly but this is probably due to the stress of packing/sorting work stuff. It sounds like you are getting into a rhythm - making a deliberate decision to keep stuff is an important part of the decluttering journey. Just as important as getting rid of stuff. Well done on decluttering the gift sets 👏 Fingers crossed that you have beaten the moths 🤞
You are welcome daisy_1571 🙂 Well done on the decluttering 👏 especially the ‘3 frogs’ 🙂MrsSD 🏅 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1309/20212021 Savings Pot: £164.80 to end of JuneBe Kind. He was my mum’s cat, smells a lot and was not blessed with brains at all. Normally if he isn’t happy with something like food being late he is very vocal but is also very lazy so dragging a few balloons around, it’s the type of daft thing he would do!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good morning all
Still at home but Dad hospitalised again last night. Still waiting for update. I managed to stay here for over a week because he seemed to be improving.
Anyway, am claiming 3 bags out so 24/104.
But my best news........(drum roll please....)........
We had a very heavy green leather suite that I now realise was adding awfully to my sciatica not to mention degenerating hip. Having stayed at my parents for almost 2 months I noticed an improvement. So the suite had to go. Last night from 8.30 - 10pm I sweated, pushed and pulled with the removers. How on earth they got it in 15 years ago beats me ! When everyone wanted to give up (apart from one little removal man) I got hold of Stanley knives and saws. I was not going to give up. After much work, I won !
(The little guy told me I have good 'gyn').........
But it gets better. A few days ago I 'won' on faceythingy a 3 seater leather sofa. Colour a kind of caramel. The 'get-ridder-of' said sofa described it as in fair condition. I would describe this sofa as very very good. Almost new in my books.
All the moving/removal costs came to £200.00
It sounds a lot but around here that is probably lower than standard. When I factor in the work involved (even though I did a lot of it) it's probably cheap.
I didn't realise until I came in last night how that green suite dominated the room and how much I hated it. It held 8 years of extreme unhappiness. Now gone !
Just heard my Dad was taken to wrong hospital. Off to declutter some bad language !
love to all
