Today I have been doing the "life changing magic" of Not tidying up ha ha.
I've watched the full season of Bridgerton and brought a roast chicken from corner shop ( would not buy again /awful quality and seen more meat on a centipede 🐛)
But that's lunch and dinner cooked sorted for today.
Still to do today:
1 pair trousers left to iron (seemed to have missed them as on the airer, I'd put the iron and board away and cba to get it out again)
Put away clothes /bedding from airer once fully dry.
Make a shopping list - which should be easy as we need everything

@newlywed - impressed by just keeping two coats. I bought a couple this year but decided not to throw any out as I'm now walking everywhere so coats get more use. I think bags and scarfs which don't take up too much space can really change an outfit or cheer up a mood so worth keeping if you enjoy them (you can see why I struggle to declutter!)
856 textiles to recycle
857-858 charity bag dropped off and another shirt added (really can't imagine it is going to grow in length ever and I wouldn't buy it back or be tempted to which is a litmus test for me.
859-860 garden rubbish and dead plants removed from garden
861 receipts recycled

Evening MrsSD and fellow declutterers, did a spot of electronic decluttering today on emails and also moving pictures from my mobile phone onto the external hard drive. Have also given myself a telling off for not keeping in touch with a couple of people who I have email addresses for. Have made a note on our notice board to remind me to put this right this month. We will declutter a lamb shoulder roast dinner tomorrow 😉 Honorary Sunday for us as my wife has been working today. Proud of my daughter today, 1st day out since being discharged from hospital on Monday. Took her out to get some fresh air. It's a dry run for her fracture clinic appt this Wednesday. She is a resilient person and she is growing up very fast. Cheers 🙂11

@TC77 I am walking everywhere too! But I do get hot when walking and my road is halfway up a hill so to get anywhere I need to go up a hill at some point, even if it’s the way home.I have one fairly smart lighter weight rain coat and then another long raincoat that has a removable padded inner for warmth. Both with hoods.
I do also have a couple of fleece jumpers I am using just now, but wfh I don’t need to look smart just now. So coats are for rain mostly.Also... I am planning on decluttering a raincoat that is not waterproof and a thick padded jacket that I can only wear when it’s -5 Celsius because it’s too warm (neither item cost more than £5 from charity shops). The shorter supposedly shower proof jackets have all gone now as they were all fairly useless and the plastic ends up warm and sticky.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?11 -
@newlywed I bought a couple of coats over the winter (sale) both warm but have only worn one of them once and have others but do feel the cold - meant to take one back but I missed the 14 day deadline while I dithered!

Lots of muscular pain yesterday (at least it proves I still have some hidden somewhere) so decided to re-watch the Crown and sort from the recliner chair.
First job of the day was mum's pills. She had dropped her tin but I've decide to sort it once a week anyway (just to check on any missing items, make sure mum uses things in date order and not mixing them up - she tends to go by the colour of the pack rather than reading the name). So sorted the tin (at least a week's supply of everything), the back up box and the second backup box - she has one pill 6 times a day and only one box of 42 will fit in the tin, another is only available from the hospital where the neurologist is based so we used to pick up 4 months supply following her appointment and they are now being sent out to us - both in bulky boxes. I used to keep extras in the top of one of the wardrobes but did a stock check and sort in January and put anything medical in the cupboard next to mum in the living room with a small additional cupboard for extra tissues, baby wipes etc.
Put the second load of washing from Saturday out on the line.
Made multiple trips to various recycling bins.
Sat chopping and peeling lots of veg for Sunday lunch and extra to be used in my next batch cook. Plus carrot and celery snacks for healthy snacks.
Opened the new tiny can of silver paint as mum decided to finish the gate (after at least a week's break).
One of my notebooks gave up the ghost (small hardback alphabetised - use it for passwords for various things) so transferred some of the information into the new one. I'm still stuck in ABC but there were a couple of pages with lots of info - hope as I go along there will be quite a lot of defunct info, estimate book is 13 years old.
Paid for some charity cards mum had received.
In the afternoon the food delivery arrived. Didn't strictly need it yet but felt so awful after Saturday's efforts (bed clearing and moving plus oven cleaning - I wouldn't normally do those on the same day) that I put the order in. Had already decided to include some easy meals (mum had been eating some raw veg with dips and she can just get them out of the fridge herself, whenever she feels like it) and maybe some 'bung it in the oven' meals so I have more time for painting and soil shifting.
In the evening I went outside and sat finishing the final cut on one third of the tree stump with a combination of using the pruning saw (smaller and more flexible than the tree saw) and wedging things in (would have liked grandad's brick chisel but did okay with a metal shelf bracket and a drawer handle) to put more pressure on. Thicker than the recommended diameter for the green bin so have started two downward cuts to split it into 3). Got easier because I found another patch that the 'termitey things' had had a go at.
Came in, found mum's latest serial to watch and decamped back to my room. Took a while as I had taken my pills in the front room to sort and finally did them using my wooden tray and two small boxes (plus deploying a pair of scissors ruthlessly). They were occupying half a drawer, some space in another drawer, latest pill bag had to be opened and there were loose foils/ odd bits on the tray/ trolley, in my handbag and anywhere near to hand. All prescription and OTC pills now contained in one small box with at least one week's supply in my handbag. Antiseptic cream, wasp sting and bite cream, eyedrops and various small 'medical' stuff in a very small toiletries bag (small detachable part of a larger bag). Will need a further sort of micropore tape, support bandages and similar but very pleased with that work.
i could then use the second small box for it's original purpose of keeping the new seeds and accoutrements together. I really want to plant something and I am so nearly there. Scooped soil from an old toy box into several small plant pots but did not feel up to moving them. If the rain stops at some point today will move some of the small pots of soil and at least thrown the broad beans in behind the raised beds.
I'm counting that as 14 and will give a running total when I work out Saturday's figure and add them to my diary. Planning a similar sort of day today but with more pampering and more joyous activities. Today is 'Do something nice for you Day'. Think these lists are mainly made up American ones, heavily promoting various food stuffs etc but there's always something to celebrate if you need cheering up (and any foods you like can be worked into the meal plan). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10
