2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

Seems my friend has a few things going on so I was on cheer up duty.
She paid for 2 drinks each which made me feel so guilty so I thanked her lots.
I have been out all bloomin day. So more dog walking, and managed to muster up some food as follows
1 cheesestring, 1 dairy triangle and 7.5 crackers lol
So now that gap is filled I'm having a breather until 5.45 - and will walk dogs then.
Tonight is the dreaded bathroom and bedroom and if I can manage it the washing from stripping the bed.
Back later with my decluttering list

Bed has been moved, sheets and covers washed, toilet rolls put away in the kitchen cupboard (they were doing duty as a headboard), bed remade and two trays in place (one has lots of bits piled on it but will work my way through that slowly).
Meanwhile mum tried to clean the oven door, exhausted herself and made herself feel sick (and not much visible difference to the door). So in between stages of clearing, moving and putting back, I've cleaned the oven door and the oven bottom. In the process I've decluttered an old towel, several rags, a stick (it broke) and a plastic sack (used to protect the floor). Mum is happy, I hurt (given that several parts of me were hurting from yesterday's sawing) and have no plans to move from the bed unless it involves ice cream or fruit (no chocolate in the house and don't think I'd make it to the corner shop). To the bathroom and back feels like a big ask atm.
So no plans for tomorrow (foil parcel taken out of freezer and we will be having chicken dinner) until I see which bits of me will move.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage11 -
It's been a very stressful week and not much decluttering going on, but I'm hoping things ( meaning me) will calm down a bit now. Dh had another call from his oncologist and he wants to see him face to face next time to discuss treatment, we've already been through this 5yrs ago when they cancelled the treatment the day before it was due to take place .........I feel like we're on the magic roundabout, just wish I was as laid back like Dylan !Anyway today I got my act together and took down some more shrubbery then did some digging out, removed lots of stubborn roots and also moved a load of earth. Gardening seems to be therapeutic for me somehow. However I've made a hole in the thumb of my gardening glove but I refuse to throw the pair away, so now I'll have to declutter the hole by mending it 😁 I've also got a slanket to mend too, I like to make do and mend and saves £££'s.Out 2 odd socks, can't find their mates so have been using them for dusting and now past their SBD, they are more holes than socks ! A large soap powder box, a coffeemate tin and 2 empty glass coffee jars to the recycling. Several political leaflets recycled, the same ones we've had several times in the last 2 weeks, no wonder our taxes are so high 😠 The contents of the washing basket decluttered too. The usual daily rubbish deposited in the appropriate bins. A bag of shed rubbish binned.Hugs to all those having a difficult time, healing vibes to the poorly ones.Take care and keep on decluttering.nan

Sorry to hear that nan, hope all goes as well as it can do for DH

Mothernerd poor printer. Hahahaha.
nannywindow Restful vibes to you. What a horrible situation for you to be in. The garden is my go to place too.
I am having a stay at home day tomorrow, I feel like I just need to be at home and take stock. Will do a bit of cooking and pottering in the garden.
Didn't take the dress to the agency, noticed some beads were loose so I need to have a look at it.

I have managed to strip the bed and remake - 1 load (final lot) of washing now on and will leave overnight on airer.
Bathroom and airing cupboard cleaned and decluttered.
Bedside cabinet half decluttered - it's OK to be honest so I have left as is.
Tomorrow's jobs are a bit of ironing. Plus one will be back home tomorrow morning and bringing with him washing and lots of crap! So it has been a bit of a pointless exercise but at least I have a night of everything clean and fresh.
I need to go through my make up stash again now I am working I find I'm not really using much of it and the bits I do use are a hassle to find each morning.
Will need to shop as plus one will not be happy eating just onion rings from freezer 😂 I've cooked up some small sausage rolls for my tea from the freezer.
Will meal plan before we shop to keep all costs down.
Just popped the electric blanket on for later as today has rained quite a lot and feels colder inside than out.
@D123456789 the JL clothes for LO sounds lovely.
Hope everyone is warm and well. Hoping for better weather tomorrow and going to try to treat it as a rest day.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHTo2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉😉)Saturday has been a dry day but overcast & cold. I have done sweet f.a. apart from watch TV with DSis - 2nd series of Battlestar Galactica (1980) & the rebooted Battlestar Galactica (2004 - 2009). DH has watched the MotoGP qualifying. Dinner was rigatoni with Bolognese sauce (from freezer) - still trying to empty one freezer 😉
897 - 899 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, newspaper - recycled

Well done on your batch cooking D123456789 👏 now you just have to start emptying the freezer 😉 The seahorse swimsuit sounds really cute 🙂
Hi leelad 👋 Very pleased to hear that your daughter is home 👏 and it sounds like she is raring to go back to school which is a good sign. I agree with balabooberlies that it is wonderful to be appreciated by your employers 🙂 Here’s hoping that May is a better month than April for you, your wife and daughter 🤞
Excellent work GrannyKate 👏 and a great idea to grab handfuls of paperwork rather than a whole box 👏 I know that tackling a whole box gives me a sinking feeling rather like seeing a plate piled high with food - I never know where to start 😱 I would sooner have a smaller amount of food & go back & get a bit more if I want it. I never thought to tackle decluttering in the same way 🙄 So one Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂 At least you are tackling photos GrannyKate 👏 I have boxes, albums etc full of photos & currently no inclination to sort 😔
Excellent work TC77 👏 yes the dead rat does count 😉 After becoming so dependent on broadband over the last year, it really is a pain when it fails. Well done you for being persistent in chasing a repair 👏Great work moneyonmymindsam 👏 and hopefully you will get a couple of days rest 🤞 Nice to have a friend like you moneyonmymindsam - cheer up duty is difficult enough when you don’t have your own challenges 🙂 Very busy again moneyonmymindsam 👏 What is the matter with onion rings as a meal 😉😉
Vulpix, I hope you didn’t overdo it in your step son’s garden & that an early night was sufficient to recover 🤞Good decluttering 👏 and a pox on time wasters 😡 Your kitty is coming along very nicely 🙂 Shame about the dress but hopefully you can fix it 🤞Enjoy your rest day 🙂
mothernerd, I rather liked your description of the printer - little & gnome like 😂 Wow mothernerd 🤩 I was absolutely exhausted reading how busy you have been 😴 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ and a medal🏅 You are doing more in a day than I do in a month 😱 A happy mum versus an exhausted mothernerd? Please, please slow down a bit 🙏
A wow for you too newlywed 🤩 Decluttering clothes & planning how to Declutter more 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on it’s way 🙂
Great work Gem-gem 👏 Very MSE re the containers for JL vouchers 👏 With any luck they will run the promotion again 🤞Sorry to hear about DH nannywindow ☹️ Hopefully this time around a suitable treatment will be found & completed 🤞Sending positive vibes for both you & DH.
